  1. And here we go with bias again. ”Lack of mobility and disengage” on Mesmer, like… really?
  2. That’s not true, absolutely not. You want support Chrono in very few numbers, this is a thing and I agree, cuz having too many in squad makes you lose tons and tons of dps. But it’s still best boonstrip and best pull available in WvW, bar none, plus the usual Veil/Portal provider. The only thing is, if you are a random player joining a group, I would highly recommend to choose something else, cuz people on voice are the ones they make Chrono shine. If you are not on voice, just don’t.
  3. In WvW roaming you have plenty of very good builds for Mesmer, and a lot of diversity. If you are interested only in the zerging part, sadly you don’t have other options. You can play Power Boon Strip Virtuoso and it will be “okayish” cuz of it being a Mesmer (pulls, Domination traits to strip boons + Null Field) but you’d better run Power Scourge, by miles. In sPvP, Necro is still one of - if not the - best spec overall. Harbinger and Core are very good options for newcomers, and not difficult to pilot at all. My suggestion is to gear both, to be honest. They are both light armor (easy to get one set of legendary, now or later) and they mostly cover what the other spec lacks.
  4. For PvE (Raids, Fractals, Strikes) its one of the best class. Virtuoso has excellent damage and high survivability, Miralac has still the best damage between all the Alac dps specs. Quick Chrono is currently worse than the competitors (qFB, qHarbinger mostly) but in Raids context the Inspiration variant is still extremely important in some wings, and can tank/kite well. In WvW, large scale, you always want 1/2 Minstrel Chrono in your squad, other than that, it has no other reasons to exist. It’s still very good at roaming, using different specs, but don’t expect to be welcomed by zerging squads. In PvP, it still has the same issues as ever.
  5. Ever thought you weren’t meant to get it, if you don’t like/want to go through the process?
  6. Well, most non-glasscannon Mirage builds are indeed using Inspi to distort and Chaos to profit from distortion. Problem is, is difficult to justify going for the upper branch instead of just taking more condi damage with the last, since you already have shatters to cleanse on Inspi.
  7. Don’t take me wrong. But if you’re still at the phase of “can I apply runes to my rings?”, maybe complaining about your party is probably not the best choice.
  8. Depends what you’re on. For example, playing Quickness Power Chrono means you will use GS regardless, since it’s the superior clone generator (aka: shatters earlier and more often for Seize the Moment to share quickness). Power Virtuoso can use both GS and Focus with profit, depending on if you need high burst or high sustained damage (Raids vs Fractals). On PChrono, you honestly just want to use Focus (or Pistol, depending on the situation). GS is allright, but I’d say strictly inferior to the alternatives.
  9. Like the user above said. Why would you ever shatter whenever you can on Mirage, dunno.
  10. If you are just doing generic pve and class exploration, go Chronomancer. If you learn Chronomancer things, you’ll be able to immediately swap to any of the other two specs whenever you want, difficulty wise.
  11. That’s my main problem, honestly. 3 out of 3 skills that deal (maybe) damage (just a bit), no disengage, no range, nothing.
  12. Well… you DO need coordination on DF tbh. That’s the reason way less people tag up compared to maps like DC, where the Commander is more of an aggregator cuz mechanics are self explanatory. In DF, there is a pattern to follow that you have to learn. Of course, you can get to meta even without, but doing events randomly is a huge waste of time and a great g/hr loss.
  13. I do Dragonfall meta once a day (sometimes twice, sometimes I won’t, but that’s pretty much it). It’s still very populated in EU. Dunno if it’s a NA issue or you are simply being unlucky/playing at weird times.
  14. I mean, I also love it. But it’s a WvW mount meant for WvW play. I see nothing wrong.
  15. Pretty much. In zerging you basically have an offensive boonstrip dps + cc + focus pull. Focus pull is great, the rest is okay-ish, not terrible, but it’s simply inferior to what Scourge brings to the table.
  16. People still do Cold War at least once a week for the weekly chest. Forging Steel is just too long. Either boos the reward or it’s kinda obvious that people skip it.
  17. Don’t. I play on a potato pc, literally on a potato pc. Claiming that dodging is an issue means not being willing to learn even the simplest mechanics. And, again, you are shifting your focus by claiming something different than what you previously said.
  18. Marauder IS wrong build, that’s the point. Don’t hold other people in the group down because you cannot dodge or position yourself.
