Is Condi Virtuoso Overhyped compared to Power Virtuoso?
Ombras.2853 replied to KeoLegend.5132's topic in Mesmer
Just to add to what I said previously: Power Virtuoso is still fine in certain areas. If you are an experienced raider, you’ll know that there are boss where condi damage is abysmal (let’s say KC) and in those encounters you’ll obviously switch back if you have both builds geared up. -
Eh? So you want… what, exactly? This, in short. Yes.

“I don’t want to play specs that share boons, and I don’t wanna spend my time on the lfg looking for them”. Maybe the intent of the thread is entirely different from what I just wrote, but it sound exactly like that.

Is Condi Virtuoso Overhyped compared to Power Virtuoso?
Ombras.2853 replied to KeoLegend.5132's topic in Mesmer
If the goal is to solo hard pve content, Celestial/Traiblazer Staff/Staff Mirage is far and away the best thing you can do in the game along with playing Necro. -
Yes. Staff Mirage with the right food and enhancements can easily keep perma alac.

Is Condi Virtuoso Overhyped compared to Power Virtuoso?

You are being told that Cele Virtuoso is trash by people who don’t play Cele gear or that have a crusade against it. Pretty much. Power Virtuoso is “allright” if you play it as a stealth Mesmer, and that’s pretty much it. Not horrible, don’t get me wrong (I also play it) but it has some serious survivability flaws, and in the world of 1vsX that’s a real issue. -

This. Other than the above point, honest the topic is spacing between too many things at once. Condi Virtuoso is a very, very good build in the current pve end game mode, and it’s superior to its power counterpart, if that’s the question, in both damage and survivability. Difficulty wise, the rotation is very similar. For WvW, in zerging Virtuoso is useless. For roaming, Cele Virtuoso is the best current build. -
Except dd those are all meta specs.

Should I convert these currencies?

That’s a real overstatement. Converting SS is easy and moderately fast. -
Dear Anet: Condi gear prices are out of control
Ombras.2853 replied to Bladezephyr.5714's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The reason why people don’t get in this kind of content is one and only one: they don’t want to learn them. Yes, a 10% difference is HUGE, considering that your typical dps already does like 1/3 of the benchmark. Snowcrows players could gear whatever and still clear raids in a reasonable time. If you’re not close to that level, you won’t. There’s a reason why we use a certain type of gear. And no, that’s far from “being elitist”. Not to talk about the incredible number of details I could mention (tank issues, enraging timer, over presence of healing traits instead of boons, I can go on). Fwyk, I am one of those who - whenever I command a squad - never asks for kp/LI. Not even for raids. Imagine me being toxic. But I pretend, as the game mode requires, that people in my squad have a good understanding of what we are going to face. The whole discussion in the last page shows that you guys don’t have a clue, and if you don’t have a clue, just move on. -

For a n end-game mode content which has most of the time a timer? I wonder why. -

If I’m commanding a Strike squad and one of my dps players is on Marauder, I’ll kick him out without even questioning. There is an appropriate gear for each kind of content. For story, champ solo, bounties, farms etc, Marauder/Cele/Trailblazer is absolutely fine (even preferred). If you expect to come to T4 Fractals/Strikes/Raids with those, don’t complain if you see people not accepting you.- 234 replies

Since I started using Psychic Force, I can confirm that I feel much better against thieves variants. And some of my opponents stated the same.

I will speak of it and its replayability if and when Anet finally realizes how terrible rewards are for the new content. EoD Strikes (all of them) and CM need a HUGE buff rewards wise. Not a buff, a HUGE buff. It’s simply ridiculous, as it is right now.

Not being sarcastic here. But do you really think a new player would be in need of a tag, or should be allowed to command anything (even just a group composition)? New players should take their steps slowly and learn: the game basics, their profession, the differences between classes. Slowly moving to easy end game content (like Dungeons or t1 Fractals), THEN trying something more challenging. At that point, you’ll have enough gold to get a tag yourself… but it’s still recommended to let a experienced commander take care of the job, for obvious reasons.

If you’re using it in open world, Trailblazer or Celestial are good options (often better than Viper’s), so don’t worry. If your plan is play instanced content (Strikes, Raids, Fractals, Dungeons) , then no, go Viper’s. Dps meter is more important than extra survivability, and most hits from the bosses there will either down you instantly or you won’t die even in full Viper’s.

Celestial Virtuoso in WvW roaming is an excellent choice, period. Some of the people on this forum have a personal agenda against Celestial stats, and that’s all. Virtuoso, as all the other EOD specs, is hot garbage in WvW zerging.

There a build for good sustain and damage?(openworld)
Ombras.2853 replied to CritikalMoist.7216's topic in Professions
For things like soloing champs you want to be on something like Celestial or Traiblazer if you are a condi spec. If you’re just killing regular mobs, Viper’s is best cuz you kill them fast. PS: if you aim at having a high survivability build for open world, my suggestion is to gear either a Necro (core or Scourge) or Staff Mirage. Mobs won’t kill you even if they try. -
Celestial Virtuoso in WvW is a very strong option. Viper’s/Sinister/Rampager Virtuoso is the best in PvE instanced content. Berserker’s/Assassin is good for when you need a power dps (for example on Vale Guardian).

…which is not true at all. Eggs Benedict + Toxic Manteinance Oil keeps perma alacrity. The fact we have a lot of mediocre Mirage player doesn’t mean the build is flawed (it isn’t). I partially agree about Chrono quickness. It’s still a fine build, cuz it brings high cc, Mesmer skips and utilities like Feedback, possibility to go Inspiration for aegis, but dps numbers should be reworked a bit. Quick Harbinger has significantly more dps and still provides some other boons. If we had 2-3k more I would be satisfied.

Worst WvW solo and roaming experience class.
Ombras.2853 replied to grave of hearts.7830's topic in World vs. World
I imagine we only have Necromancers voting. Worst profession, lol. -
Interesting quote from dev about the June balance patch

Mirage already gives might + Alac, btw. -
Congratz for not addresssing the point once again. Is PChrono a selfish build? Yes it is. Did you say it is not? Yes you did. These are your words: ”Chronomancer does high dps as well and can provide some utility on top of it, so it’s better than virtuoso.” Are you going to pretend you meant to say something different or what? Stop twisting words like a kid, and let’s have a decent discussion. If you want to prove your point, maybe start addressing it.
