  1. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/102073/im-enjoying-the-new-tweaks-but-a-custom-cursor-is-still-essential-also-a-sound-question
  2. There were guild wars in the original Guild Wars. Guild Wars 2 is so named only for the franchise. It was not initially intended to have "guild" wars.
  3. Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7, which means no more security updates. I would not recommend using Windows 7.
  4. Personally, if I want to play Star Wars, I would play Star Wars. I'd rather not do that in GW2.
  5. Bit off topic, but is this a thing for other people? I have Chuka & Champawat with Rox's Quiver, but when my bow is stowed both bow and quiver stay visible.I have Rox's Quiver, too. Like any back item, I can hide or show it, but that's not a weapon, so it doesn't trigger on stow. The problem with showing the bow when stowed being obstructed by the quiver is, AFAIK, only solved by "perma" hiding the quiver.
  6. From what I understand from the previous threads on streaming/twitch, most players prefer to play the game rather than to watch someone else play it.
  7. Not really ''free'', we gotta pay for the expansions and the items on gemstore are paid in $$$. The base game is free. Expansions and gemstore items are optional.
  8. And this is how the top 3 MMORPGs have such a large playerbase, they are diverse in what they have. And they have a subscription model that allows them more resources to diversify?
  9. No thank you. I don't like crafting items just to play the game. I'd rather play the game.
  10. It's a free game. ANet has to make money somehow. As fashion wars is such a thing, transmutation stones are one way for them to make money. But, as was previously stated in the thread, transmutation stones are fairly easy to acquire in-game, especially in WvW so you really don't need to buy them.
  11. Let's not stray from the original topic and degenerate this thread into yet another ARCDPS argument. We already have plenty of threads on that and they all end the same way. ;)
  12. Especially for those times when the personal merchant auto-spawns on top of something when the player didn't intend it to do so.
  13. Yeah, that's what I would expect, too, even though many who post here say that wouldn't be the case.
  14. Flawed as it may be, I will trust Anet's marketing team to know economics than any posters on the forums who purport to know. Do I agree with their tactics? Not necessarily.
  15. Increase revenue by making it free? How does that work? The more free quality of life features that get added, the more people are willing to spend their money on fashion. Good will begets good will. I disagree. People will continue to ask for free things once a company goes that route. GW2 is free and look now how many things players want for free. Then make it cheaper? The market should determine the price. If people hadn't bought them, then Anet would probably have been forced to adjust accordingly. Recall what happened with the first mount skin bundle? Since that didn't happen, Anet appears to be satisfied with the price and volume of sales.
