I agree with you , but all the stuff you say about ele , other spec do it better , weaver is melee , you have virtuoso who has the same damage output from a 0 to 1200 range , tempest as alac , you have engi who is more reliable with mech (as heal or as dps), as for catalyst i tried my best on golem i barely reach 30k... It's always the same , yeah ele isnt so bad but when you compare it to the others , it just smell like dead fish . I mean even when you add all specs its less than 4% players who take it in raids , even holosmith alone is above 4%. And i wouldnt say they "shotgun" the catalyst quickness , they nuked it hard , the -10% damage done when you take spectacular sphere has to be one of the most disgusting nerf they 've done (just before warriors banners ofc).
  2. Sorry , my last message was a little bit of "puke" . But i feel sorry for you , atm you are right , but hope for the best anet cannot let the ele in his state . For me , weaver had to be the most glass canon class ever , adding the thing who give barrier to the other feel out of place , people who play weaver in pve are focused on very very high damage . And when you see what you have to do to pull out those damage , i am pretty sure you heard "playing weaver is like playing piano" and thats right . For tempest it's on a good way , anet need to fix little things , like the alac , the trait just give alac , while other have bonuses : -scrapper : quickness and 10% might converted to concentration -Herald : quickness and passiv boons from utilty skills pulse 2 more times on a 6secs Just alac isnt enough , they should add a thing like heal player around when you end an overload , to add up the loss of bastion of elements. i am not even talking about catalyst , when you hear that 0.30% of players in raid content is defining méta ... there is no hope.
  3. You cannot deny there is a problem with the whole ele class , it's the less played class (in all of his 3 elites spec) for all endgame content (fractals , raids and strikes) . While it seems decent in pvp and wvw , it's absolute garbage in pve. The numbers are alarming , tempest represent 1.48% of players in raid content , weaver 2.00% and shitalyst 0.30% . But somehow anet find it méta defining ... holy hell , 33% of the players play firebrand in fractals but thats not defining the méta ... They can delete the class atm , you can say whatever you want but in any secific roles , as healer , quickness dps provider or simply dps , there is a class who completely deny the ele , more hp , more easier to play , more efficient , more boons ,... etc etc I personnaly , and i despite doing that , ask players to play something else than ele when i recruit as com for raids or strikes (i dont even ask in fractals , they are none , lol) so numbers of players playing ele in engame will reach ground zero and anet will be forced to do something about that class. But dont worry if you want to play dps you can play the new exciting "Pew Pew" mechanist , afk on gorseval , reached 28k/s, ez mode . In few years the game will play by itself ...

Is it me ? or does that sentence doesnt make any sense at all ? sorry didnt get your point there. +1 For the Rng system , dont think a lot of people like it (only the one who looted 10k + infusions i guess) . But can say i wasnt lucky with rng , still i despite this system , you can have a random garry discovering silverwaste and getting the bee infusion after 10 hours of playtime . Thats just disgusting , i'd rather do an achievement like succeed 10000 times silverwastes , than freaking rng , at least the end of the tunnel is far but the end exist.

Totally agree , have the same feelings in fractals , when huge damage incoming qfb press f 3 -5 increasing evreryone thougness and Ham start pumping out his 2x barrier (signet and mech spinning) and you barely feels the "huge" damage . Yes tempest has rebound , but you cannot compare that to the magic duo Fb Mech And another think people seems to forget about tempest is that you have huge trade off . You basically run water and tempest for healing , leaving one free trait slot , what can you take ? earth for a little stab ? No fury , and less boons . Arcane ? Great , more boon duration , attunemnent switch faster , but no fury . And alacrity is a joke on it , getting rid off bastion of elements for healing is garbage . And for dps/alac , overloads charges up 33% less faster ... Firebrand has a master trait who works for everything , passive damage and passive healing... Either nerf ham and fb or get the other supports to the same levels of those two ( i personnaly would prefer a lifting up to all supp classes). Have a nice day.
  7. We have a lots of garbage stats like 'bringer' ( vitality , précision and expertise) , wouldnt mind having like a healing (main stats), vitality and concentration stats . But the "why" you are not taken for end content is only about boons not damage , when you take harrier instead of magi you sure loss a lot of vitality , but in term of healing its not a big deal and gain x2 boon duration (while tempest has a lot of base concentration) . You , giving 25 might , fury , and alacrity to 5 ppl is more than a little damage increase , not to forgot the defensive boons. And even doing that you will not be sure to be taken , cause as tempest in order to give alacrity has to get rid off a powerfull trait for healing , but i hope arena gonna up it a little , as a healer/support and as damage/support , so everyone gonna be happy. totally agree overload feel very long to cast , i think it would be better to cast the overload for 3 secs , and leave the aoe +1 sec on the field.

Here you go mate , dont think fresh air is for healing tempest ... @ vardeleanu. They do not exclude healing tempest , but man you cant deny it is poorly designed . The grandmaster trait is just alacrity ! nothing else ! Sure someone will share fury and whatsoever , but why you have to rely on other to do it , when you can take a spec who has the full package? And about rotation on a healing spec it's just for maintaining boons , and your thing of using rebound for just pop out some fury is ridiculous , this skill is an anti wipe , and mainly not used to just add some fury... Nerfing the other specs is a matter of point of view , you have your points , i have mine cant really argue about that. The point is as tempest , you have timing , or holes in your rotation where you cant heal , and even in water you have to wait like 4 secs to overload , just imagine you need group healing now ! "Oke guys just wait , i know you are dying but be patient the healing is coming , like the dragons in games of thrones". Elé is poorly designed , it's not a surprise it's least played class (tempest , weaver and jokalyst all combined) in engame content. Even snowcrow hasnt updated tempest build for ele yet , they are none builds at all ,... The point here of all people agree , ele need some complete review and checkup: -Tempest was designed as support/damage , it underperform in those two. -Weaver was designed to be the top class dps (hardest spec to play be my opinion) , it has top notch dps ,... ont the raid golem training ! -Jokalist a more bruiser type of ele designed to compete with firebrand i guess in term of quickness dps provider , Fb still outperform it in all ways . Was doing 26 k on raid training golem afk (i was busy on toilets) and when i came back , i was like ... "hééé thats gameplay " feels like a mobile game where you can "auto" gain levels. For the catalyst i agree some people (maybe 0,01% of the playerbase) are doing insane damage on catalyst , but -20% damage , thats rough ! Can you just take a look at your recent endgame content ? Harvets temple cm , just look at the comp every hardcore guild is running : mechas , firebrands and virtuoso all over the place , now you see that , you gonna nerf them all i suppose ? your good point is to remove base quickness from catalyst , but the -10% damage dealt on quickness catalyst feels yuuuukkkk... And tempest alac fresh air dps ? hahaha doesnt see that coming out , community was asking for tempest heal ! But i just hope all those changes will soon be reviewed by you again . What is also really pissing of ppl about catalyst is you nerf it then buff , then nerf then buff, ... we are like " heh lets quickly play cata , its gonna be nerf in 2 months probably", just admit you cant balance the élé , so you made it crappy , neither of the 3 specs feels good atm , no matter the way you play it , you are a burden ... You thoughts it's normal i deal 20k doing my sweaty rotation on catalyst quickness , while i play with one hand quick firebrand and doing 26k , with more health boons and utility ... I know my stuff here is not constructive at all , but i am pissed , i just want to throw up my élé to the garbage can forever , But if you want ideas : For catalyst: -Remove the -10% damage from spectacular sphere -EE just increase efficiency of elemental empowerement to 100% , not only at 10 stacks. For tempest : -Remove the aura sharing from powerfull aura , and just add healing to nearby allies when you gain an aura (can make a base idea for catalyst heal too) -Lucid singularity : make alacrity pop at the start of the overload , add a boon when successfully overloading , like 5 stacks of might ending fire overload or a little bit of stabilty share when ending earth , fury in air ( so we dont have to run air traitline as healer , this traitline is a dps thing !) I am here talking about pve stuff , i dont play a lot of wvw or pvp , so i cant talk about balance in those contents . Have a nice day.

Yeah, i think you forgot something , while using arcane , you lack fury uptime for your group (dont think dagger air 2 is sufficient) and when you overload an element , this same element has a 100% increase cd so it's 6.8 x 2 and not overloading mean less alacrity uptime now , so you cant consider not overloading , and for soothing water while it is stronger in term of healing than firebrand sharing f2 it has a duration of 7- 10 secs while you get out of water . The main problem here is , lack of boons that other specs has (firebrand and mech supremacy like always) like aegis or stability , some core boons you have to trade off great utlity traits (like -15% cd on attunements) , playing air for the only purpose to give fury uptime (a whole traitline only for that feels very bad) , and while i agree water overload is still the strongest heal of the game , going out of water and then having to pop out strong healing at that right timing feels bad , sure you have wash the pain and the signet of water , but you cant compare that to the sustain on demand healing mech and firebrand has "And on the topic of uptime, I think it's the other way around. It's not a bad thing that ele has downtime on it's weapon healing skills if it wants to attune to another element to something else. It's called good game design, and I think that the issue is rather firebrand and mech not having it." So you made a point there , mech and firtebrand are op , but i personnaly will be happier if they put all those healers on the same level instead of nerfing them , so it will be more of a matter of "fun , i d like to play" and will feel nice to play a tempest heal , knowing you are not a burden or lacking something you shouldnt if you played another class. Either way you cant deny the lfg asking for healers : only mechs or Fb , never seen a group asking for a tempest heal , just look at all those guilds who cleared harvest temple cm do you see any healer tempest or herald ? no i only see mechs firebrand and virtuoso. Hello , https://gw2wingman.nevermindcreations.de/popularity Well , that sum up the whole thing , élé is barely useless in any of his specs in endgame content and not popular at all and thats a fact ! I do fractals strikes and raids and i barely see any élé and when i see one it's underperforming in his role. Why should i play it ? -Weaver ? A freaking joke , locked in melee , no range whatsoever , squishy as hell , super punishing rotation,... -Tempest ? Maybe as dps now , ... meh i ll stick to my condi alac mech . As healer then ? Nah Ham better in all ways , more boons , more consistent on demand healing , and freaking more ez to play. -Catalyst ? this one make me crazy , it got buffed then nerfed then rebuffed then renerfed , and it goes on ! Never know if its gonna stay in place more than 2 months . And now is pretty kitten , less damage than a qfb as quickness provider and harder to play. kitten i hope anet's gonna buff it again so i can play it 2 months then cry again because it will be nerfed again. Less popular class for endgame for more than 5 years , ... I only use it as catalyst for chest farm cause EE also increase your magic find , lol.

It has already started , Lfg's on Hl content only ask for Ham , Qfb , and specific condidps classes (guess who : scourge or virtuoso ofc), yeah why ask for power class now , they have to run assassin stuff like crazy , and so underperfrom in dps . I didnt get it , for me it's utterly simple to balance those power classes (the +5% on fury is good stuff though) but if i am not mistaken , 15 point in precision gives +1% crit chance , so why do not make 12 make +1% more , everybody will be happy (even condi builds) Getting rid off unique "boon" is not a bad idea but now healers or supports have to compete with the king of alacrity and the king of quickness : mechanist and firebrand , who ironically enough can play both dps/support and heal classes. So anet has to make the other classes a way we players dont feel underperforming , not because we dont play well ,because we dont picked up the good class. And maybe the next patch will correct that all , but as an ele (previously main) player ,having me toss , like an empty macaroni can, some alacrity for my tempest , where i need my bastion of elements to heal and nerfing my catalyst quickness to the crisp with 20% dps loss , or a warrior feeling as empty as the weapon skill bar when i grab a banner is not a good feeling , and i am afraid arenanet will continue patching the game the way they want with no clue how to balance a class (i.e +5% crit chance in a condi trait line , early aprilfool fest,...) Here is something i needed to share , this guy made a great work and for me it feels like a great idea for a real banner warrior. I am sincerely pissed about that patch , and i think the patch team know as much of the game as i know about astrocosmetic astrology, but still it's a game , death threats for that .... those people need to see a doctor !

  16. Agree , remove also the condition Blind , cuz as a a blind person it offend me , ... wait how am i tiping this , ... and how do i know you are complaining , ... Jeez plz calm down ,senility is a state of condition , if we have to remove every skill who has the name of a disease or a mental or physical condition ,it will take 20 patch to do that. Lets remove weakness then and cripple and rename them in a more Sjw style like " you suffer a physical condition , who actually allows you to dodge 50% less of the time , and somehow you cannot crit...." There are more important things in the game actually to bother about, you see evil everywhere .
  17. Ok , just tell me which boss in the game hit a 5 man to get stunned 1 secondes x5 , assuming this boss isnt channeling while his cc bar is available . Auras are utter garbage in pve content (super strong in pvp though) , sole purpose was to apply boon/healing effect from traits . Fire aura ? a joke . Magnetic aura ? oke , i still prefer a big bubble to reflect/destroy. Shock aura ? Oh it's shiny , kewlll . frost aura ? This one is ok ,-10% damage is good. As people showed upper in the thread , compare the next alac tempest to a ham or even a mech condi/alac ? Why take the tempest as heal/alac or dps/alac , mecha basically is better than him in all ways , Ham is a freaking joke , only buff he dont give is resistance and quickness , other buffs ? it's a 100% uptime (just speed +-80%). This patch (actually) is a joke , it feels like anet remembered there is tempest and herald in the game , and : "oh kitten we forgot about those , lets give them some leftover alacrity and ppl will be happy" . I will stay on my mech to provide alac , and on my firebrand to provide quickness , either it is in healing or dps/condi version. And maybe tryout the druid and banner warrior , but the tempest ? i wont touch it even with a stick ! Other class have very little tradeoff for healing , if you play water and tempest , what do you take for 3rd spec ? obviously air to pump out some fury , but you will not benefit from lower switch cd from arcane , and basically you ll need to overload every attunement to keep alacrity on (assuming you not get interrupted while channeling , lol) , then you have the 20 secs cd , 15 with alacrity for every attunement switch ..., would be way better , to include alac in a renamed hard conduit ( who cares about a -7%power damage taken on himself anyway ,..) , this way tempest can maintain vigor too. You ll take the dps that do the more damage , and as healer you ll take what give the more boons , then what heal the most. At least thats the way i play , i take whats efficient , not whats funny , cause being inefficient isnt funny.
