  1. To be fair, the coloured titles wasn't actually a bad idea - as long as it is limited to the more special ones. You either accept some people will always say no, or put it in the QoL mega thread which is less of a discussion thread. The fundamental problem here isn't necessary the idea itself, but the much bigger barriers in front of it that need to be overcome first.
  2. Adding to what Linken has already said, it's not automatic with SoTo, but a small way into the story before you can unlock it
  3. As far as I know, it doesn’t give any bonus. However as a combat tonic, it does mean you can fight with all your weapons and skills whilst transformed (prob why you are seeing mobility or speed buffs)

  6. I'm not wholly against it. In fact I'm largely in favour of improvements to the underwater system given it was such an iconic part of the starter game for me However - and I am going to ignore your last line since it's a discussion forum The problem is, Anet abandoned it - presumably due to negative feedback. Maps had water areas drained, competitive maps had their underwater sections were changed or removed entirely and barely a handful of underwater skins have been added since before HoT. Any maps with coasts had little to no mobs or interesting features added with one exception which was more geared towards making skiffs useful The other issue is that a specialisation that only works underwater will prob not be used. There's almost nothing to fight and then it can't be effective on land which is 99% of the game. It would be a different matter if underwater content actually existed, but realistically it doesn't. We'd need an expansion dedicated to it and that's had very mixed responses over the years. It wont refresh underwater content because no content exists to be refreshed except Leviathan and that doesn't need a trait system just for it I think it would be better to synergise the existing traits to work better underwater, improve some of the underwater weapons and perhaps even make land weapons usable underwater too to give more choices. Then add in legendary breathers, better access to ascended ones, sort out the swim infusion system so it's less grindy. I'm not saying they shouldn't do this, but it's probably one of the last steps in a chain to improve underwater content, which starts with actually making underwater content first
  7. An influx of more titles would be good. If lotto can have 20 billion titles just for killing orcs i a given area, I think we deserve some creative ones with each new content too

  9. Right, so what this boils down to is not being the right game for you. This is specifically designed to be a coopertaively driven mmo. They didn't want the solo style of GW1 and designed it this way deliberately. It's not a design flaw, it's a design manifesto. One that has proved extradorinarily successful given the low level nature of the IP. It's not going to be for everyone and it clearly doesn't work for yourself, but the game from this perspective is working extremely well and does not require a change to be more solo orientated
  10. The bigger flaw is how much hand holding the game does nowadays. Games were better in my opinion when you had to figure things out. Players these days have it far, far too easy *waves walking stick around
  11. I've just sent you an amulet in Celestial. No payment required, although if you feel the need - you can send 5 ectos and 125 quartz at your leisure for the crafting. I'm not bothered though. Quite happy to gift it I'll be honest, you might want to look at ascended for those stats. You can get them surprisingly quickly through laurels (which you might have from your early days), guild commendations, fractals, wvw etc. You can also always get some cheap exotic jewellery of a basic stat from somewhere like Orr in exchange for karma whilst you work towards what you want

  15. Ah but the real question is if Kralk is Glint's father who is Glint's mother... Or Perhaps the real question is if Soo-Wan is all the Elder Dragon's mother.. who is the father! In all seriousness though, I suspect asexual reproduction is the answer.

  17. It’s just a very buggy instance. Part of the issue is either it not being reported through the in game reports or if it is, not enough info to reproduce it. The latter being particularly important because the bugs aren’t consistently hitting. If it happens again, it might be worth reporting it there and then, with a timestamp and any extra info like class being used etc in case they can spot an issue their end with the instance

Arcane Blast and Arcane Wave have a bit too much overlap with each other, and we wanted to give Arcane Wave a more unique identity by adding a movement component. We've also reworked and renamed the Elemental Surge trait, giving it some more powerful bonuses to individual skills instead of all of them inflicting bonus conditions.” (March 19 Balance Update Preview) Arcane Wave: This skill now leaps to the targeted area before dealing damage and now dazes enemies that it strikes. Reduced the range from 900 to 600. Reduced the attack radius from 360 to 240. Increased the power coefficient from 0.6 to 1.7 in PvP and WvW. Reduced the ammunition recharge time from 30 seconds to 25 seconds in PvE only

  20. I’m a big fan of leaving most of the core effects alone. I never liked the Moot change and I don’t want to see more flash added to be honest

  22. We’ve been feeding it back relentlessly since September. It has however been acknowledge in the last couple of weeks and been fed back to the team. Fingers crossed by the time the next major patch hits, this tooltip problem is a gonna. It’s not good for my rage..
  23. You can keep your pistol/pistol set up (which is great fun btw, don’t be swayed off course), but remember you have two weapon sets you are meant to switch between. That means you can have pistol/pistol and sword/pistol and switch at a button press. Or whatever combo you like
