  1. If you read even some of the replies above, you would have noted that the armor pieces don't align along the same "seams" per each weight class, and saying "they don't want to do it" is discounting the amount of work. You can't "copy and paste", as devs have explained: each item is unique and would need to be remade to fit either a.) A completely new mesh/rig and seam lines, or .b) remade to fit on one of the current mesh/rigs. Regardless of the option chosen, some skins would need to be extended or have portions cut. That's going to take the art/skin team off of new projects and push them into refurbing old skins instead. The cost/benefit of doing that has never favored making it a reality. It was a decision made in early production (among others) that some ANet devs have said wish could've/would've been done differently. Unfortunately now ANet is stuck with the current system until (and gets more unlikely as time goes on) that the system underlying all skins can be changed. We were told dyable back items would never be a reality, but now we have them. So never say never, it's just extremely unlikely. Also, I remember previewing different armor class skins together. Some looked "okay", but others were pretty bad and created weird artifacts. I would definitely love to have the flexibility, but right now it's not in the cards. Making whiny, accusatory statements certainly isn't going to help your case.
  2. In Thunderhead there is a rabbit where if you follow it down th sheer cliff face and in to some shrubs, will spawn a rabbit that will knock your socks off.
  3. Then buy them now and don't complain when they go on sale? This comment makes very little sense to me. "I don't like anniversary sales because they don't happen when I want the item at a discount."
  4. We can disagree on this. If I spend 95% over land, it is not universally useful. Even doing map completion in core Tyria (arguably the most expansive "water content" zones) most maps don't seem to have more more than 25% or so UW area to explore. Something universal would be, say, a shield that absorbs damage for stamina. Or a "throw spear" skill that cripples enemies and does small damage. Something that can be used anywhere, and not only in a fraction of a map, in a fraction of the entire world.
  5. The way the announcement is worded, it seems to new skill is tied to character birthdays. So would you need an 8 year old character to get access to this new skill? If that is the case, I don't foresee this going over too well. Needing to play for 8 years to use a new ability? As for what it actually could be, I hope it's not diving. Would rather it be something more universally useful.
  6. I needed to remove Arc for the client to boot past the white load screen.
  7. Congrats! I've had two precursors: one from a Rare Unid, and one from a Strike soon after Eye of the North. Zap and Frostfang.
  8. Most players' issues seem to be resolved with the patch that was released not too long ago If you are continuing to have problems with Auto-Target ensure that you have the box checked for the relevant settings. If your settings are correct, please leave the symptoms of your issue, with descriptions of how the system is not working for you.
  9. 5g per mission? Hardly. Maybe 5g if you run the full set, which includes Forging Steel. Not bad if you are grinding out crystals for Runic armor, but definitely not the best use of time if you are trying to make gold.
  10. Possible. I did Strikes every day for 6-8 weeks for Runic armor and can't recall every seeing an LI requirement on a LFG posting.
  11. It can be done with any combination of classes; it's vitally important to dodge the finger attack however. Also helpful is shields for Wisps projectile destruction/reflection, if you're not lighting torches.
  12. Yes, my PUG strike group got it a few weeks ago.
  13. After playing CMs/T4s, as well as some overworld PvE, the patch had a drastic effect on targeting. My thoughts: -Tab targeting seemed a bit wonky still, but unsure if that's just me at this point. -Can once again use skill 1 to re-target like the true baddie I am. -Daredevil Staff 2 no longer targets the furthest valid target away from you, similar to that, Guard Greatsword leap doesn't carry you to your death off nearby ledges. -Didn't target an ally I didn't try to select. That's all I can think of right now. Definitely a solid improvement.
  14. Report back after testing to see if some or all of the issues have been corrected. I personally won't be able to check for several more hours.
  15. I would definitely use it, but not enough to really try for it. Spent way too much gold trying to get the Vermillion Torch (80 boxes later lol). The asymmetry doesn't really bother me, and seems to fit in the overall theme of the skin.
  16. That seems more or less the case, although even when lined up in such a way, if your character isn't facing the proposed target it seems unlikely to function as previously known. Something clearly has been changed, either intentionally or not, but it would've great if that could be taken care of. Daredevil Staff 2 is, uh, interesting. When doing a few Strikes, even within auto-attack range, sometime Staff 2 would still dive away from the boss target and go after an add-on.
  17. I didn't think it was that bad as far as aiming, since you just lead the target. Agree that the pointer isn't really visible enough. A lot of the problems would have been reduced if the event scaled better (more "kills" to fill the bar), single shot kills (instead of 2 hits per balloon), and if the balloons worked like Grothmar (not competing with every other player). It seems to be that credit was shared per, so if you hit it once, you were given credit. After trying to kill each balloon myself, I gave up and started to hit as many as possible. Doing that I went from 3-4 to 7-10 per event. This event was one of my favorites, even with all the issues.
  18. Agreed on encounters. A step up from HoT instagib attacks, and PoFs condition spamming Awakened. Definitely need to think before rushing a group of enemies and I love it.
  19. I would encourage anyone who has not done so to file an in game bug report as that would bring more attention than my forum post.
  20. I can see how from a lingerers perspective it could be annoying, but from a design choice it makes sense that the dialogue would be a quick loop. As that is a way for more players to hear it. This would make the city/camp seem more "alive."
  21. For me, I will lose autotarget in the middle of a fight, or during split phases it won't recommit to the primary creature, such as in split phases for CMs. More broadly, in overworld PvE, I can't count on a skill behaving as it has using the same game settings for the past entire duration of my playtime. Now sometimes I can't select the target I want as easily or even at all in crowded situations, and certainly can't count on a leap skill actually leaping towards my target if I deselect it for some reason. The game won't re-aquire that target for me, and it seems, many others.
  22. I feel like it's already at a glance before you would even make it to the console. Not denying it wouldn't be neat.
  23. Also note: when using "Snap Ground-cast to target location" last night, about half way through MAMA it would no longer target the selected enemy, and only would target at self location.
  24. My two main classes are straight up cDPS Firebrand and Alacregade, both for CMs/Strikes. It's definitely easier for me to find a group looking for a Alac Revenant than for DPS roles. If you really want to branch out, your best bet is probably Healbrand/Quickbrand, as those two roles are always desired. You could also learn/gear both roles eventually to have the flexibility. (I have 4 "roles" I'm comfortable with for doing Strikes/CMs, HB/QB not being one hahah).
