  1. Rng is random. Once you understand that you don't go oh did they stealth nerf rng because now my random rng is bad. No one comes here when they beat rng and get 3 outta 6 one day going did they stealth increase drop rates? It's only when you hit the random cold streak and then need to see if others are on a random cold streak to feel better. It does "feel" somewhat adjusted. My friend group and I do glitched chests daily, probably 20 in total, and none of us have gotten a weapon drop in 4 days, whereas the first few days we had over 20 drops collectively. In summation: aliens.
  2. what I realize I've been doing most of my CM's with friends lately but 500-750??? lulzRight? I literally have never seen a CM LFG with more than 150. Assuming you average 6 (2 per encounter, which is extremely generous) ESS per run, that's nearly a month of CMs to get efficient. Most decent players are going to be running them smoothly inside a week or two. At 500 ESS, you're looking at 3 months of CM experience. Who would waste 2 inventory slots? As an aside: every CM LFG group I have joined has never once asked for ESS links in chat, no matter how much the amount was.
  3. 3 out of 32 + the achievement chest. 2 shields and 1 rifle. Took sword from the chest.
  4. You can go your bank and select the "Wardrobe" option to view a nearly complete list of skins broken down by weight class and equipment slot. Should help you find something that suits your taste.
  5. My brother and I used to PUG T4 Fractals all the time. Through doing that, we ran into players on the same schedule as us, and now we have a static of 5, along with a cadre of alternates, I guess you could say, when someone isn't around for work/personal/whatever reasons. So in that regard, PUGing turned out great as we have a group of that meets most nights to run CMs/T4s in Discord while joking, talking about our days and what-not. On the flip side of that, I solo-PUG T4 for a looooong time, and whoa boy, some of the groups/people you would run in to, whether they were generally "toxic" or just plain bad would melt your eyes. I've generally avoided Raids mostly not for a lack of "skill" or interest, but I don't have the ability to commit time to joining a guild or spending hours to not get a completion in a training run or PUG. But that's my own choice. It's really up to what you are personally willing to tolerate. For me, PUGing was okay, but you were stuck with what you had. And in a way it made me better so I could carry the underperforming PUGs to a successful run.
  6. Sooner or later it will appear for 60 black lion statuettes, so by doing some key runs here and there you're guaranteed to get it, if you really want it.Just a little tip to reduce the gambling to a minimum next time, if you weren't already aware of the statuette vendor! I am aware of the Statuettes; thank you, though! Had just hoped to score with a bit of luck this time around to not have to wait.
  7. 22 keys and not even an uncommon #RIP my gold. That's the price you pay, and risk you take, though. Hahah. This is a great skin, and it sucks that's it's only in the BLTC chests. Would've spent real monies to insta-buy this instead of converting gold -> gems. P.S. accepting key donations
  8. On the topic at hand: I've done several hundred Strikes so far and haven't gotten any of the statues, so maybe the rate could use a looking at. I would've thought by now that I would have at least gotten something. It was always assumed that the crystal trading would be more reliable method, albeit much slower.
  9. I feel the opposite. I enjoyed the variety in Grothmar and I feel that repeating strikes daily is an intensely boring grind. I also have zero interest in the runic armor set and it is too expensive to casually try and unlock. I like the collections though. Why are people opposed to a decrease in the mastery requirements? You can still complete all 36 even with the mastery decreased. I've done daily strikes, but repeating them over and over again for the harder achievements is something that is not appealing to me as a casual player. I don't know why this game has chosen to go this way while other past living stories had more variety and less grind with the mastery. I never stated that having to get nearly all the achievements was alright by me. As it stands, I'll most likely not get the final achievement reward so long as Moving Up the Rank is bugged, or working as intended with unclear instructions. And that's fine. I only just recently got the /shiver emote because none of the achievements were ones I wanted to do, but got now that I was doing Strikes more often. It's going to be a looooong time before collecting all the Runic armor pieces. For me, it's not much different than running Fractals daily. In fact, this system is what I was waiting for to really get in to Strikes. The entire lack of an overall, compelling reward system to entice me in to them outside of the pitiful odds of getting the unique Strike-specific item/skin. So for me, this has been a great update, but the complaint about needing to get so many of the available achievements is completely understandable.
  10. Maybe I'm an outlier, but I have the majority of the achievements done without really trying to work at them, besides the Sniper achieve, that much. These feel better, to me, and less tedious than Grothmar's grindy-feeling achievements.
  11. New Fractals are in development, according to several ANet statements.
  12. It was definitely always a bug that they didn't cost any transmutation charges. Good run while it lasted for those who took advantage of it.
  13. In the Path of Fire campaign. I still don't really understand why Canach gave Rytlock the nickname "Cuddles"... but it was thrown out there soon after the commander resurrected with Rytlock standing next to them... Have you ever noticed how soft Rytlock's fur is? But, I'm not sure anyone has ever actually touched it.Not touched it and lived to tell the tale.
  14. First group after patch: miserable, horrible, no-good experience that made me dread the thought of hunting achievements. Every time after that: just swell, and almost got the timed achieve without really trying. First run was only a few hours after patch went live. Other runs have occured from times varying 11a EST - 1a EST.
  15. It seems that it is attempting to stay a certain distance behind the currently-in-movement PC, and when you do an about-face it goes to where it "should". So I guess I'm not really seeing the problem? It doesn't bother me, at any rate.
  16. I think the greatest complaint has been how short of the story for each episode. And they do seem rather short to me, as everything went along at a brisk pace. Suits me fine, though, as I'm less fussy about those kinds of things as I used to be.
  17. My brother and I were certain a small chest was in there the first few days we did the daily run-around, but now it appears it's not. Didn't see any in there the following 2 weeks either, even as the other small chests moved almost daily.
  18. ANet: Forums: Why some you ever tell us what your plans are? We won't get mad! Just talk to us! ANet: Gives an update on things to come. Forums: You are the worst, these ideas are all just wrong, you can't even do anything right, why did you say anything at all? GG game dead time to quit for real
  19. If I recall, it can sometimes glitch and spawn in an inaccessible area behind/in the wall. I've had this same problem in there before.
  20. Depending on character race, T2 Human cultural looks very similar. But that would only work for a human.
  21. Interesting. None of my friends believed me. Saw him at the Grotto, followed him away from the falls (didn't ping any achievement, as OP mentioned?) until he disappeared. Have been looking around, but not spotted him again quite yet.
