Playing T4 Fractals with my brother and our friend we met in T4s: when Flux Bomb is the Instability, we always try to bomb each other, no matter the circumstances. Maybe it's impolite to the other 2 PUGs, but we laugh heartily on Discord. Definitely the cause of a few unnecessary wipes. My apologies to anyone who's been caught in the blast, but we laughed when you downed because of our antics, and laughed more when you called us noobs.

26 keys got me both the mount and the outfit. So far it's taken me about 20 - 25 keys to get the "desired" item in the chests. All keys farmed or bought with in-game gold.

Suggestion [Palawa Joko Alarm Clock]
Memoranda.9386 replied to Shikoba.6378's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
ANet needs to do this ASAP. I need more Joko in my life. -
Are people actually going to use build templates?
Memoranda.9386 replied to Erasculio.2914's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
It would make switching between straight DPS and Support builds much more convenient for me, so yes, I would love it. -
Should the Skyscale map currency be reduced?
Memoranda.9386 replied to TheGrill.4896's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I want everyone to bookmark all these threads for when they complain the "new maps are always dead, game is dying" andthe "all this content only took me an hour" threads start popping off. -
I use the Skyscale for it's utility. Previously, that was the Griffin. Arguably, the Skyscale is too good at verticality, as I have used my Springer only a handful of times since acquiring it. Still using my Griffon frequently, just not as much. But that's just my thought on it.

To be your first point: the drop rates on the special nodes were originally very atrocious. Understandably, if you're coming in for the Skyscale having not played the previous episodes, you are in for a slog. For most moderately active players the "farm", so to speak, isn't so terrible. For more active players, such as myself, I didn't need to do any farming at all. Wayfarer's Henge had a similar design to it when released: a long, drawn out commitment. I see this as par for the course. Whether or not that was the correct approach is entirely different discussion.

Loved doing the skyscale challenge
Memoranda.9386 replied to wefal.8426's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I'm not enjoying the title achievement has been removed. Otherwise, I didn't mind doing the collection so much. Didn't try to rush through it, and was much happier for it. -
Thank you for new Skyscale skin!
Memoranda.9386 replied to Blur.3465's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I instapurchased it. Very lovely and just what I was hoping for. Also: the skin has a unique mount/unmount animation, and the engage ability is also different from standard model. -
Anets next intellectual property
Memoranda.9386 replied to Tinker.6924's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
What proof of this do you have? -
After the WBRush, seeing how the boxes were, I bailed immediately after getting about 15 boxes of random mats, knowing that I would not be getting anything interesting. With the updated boxes, even knowing I'm still not likely to get anything interesting, the updated mats make this at least interesting, along with gathering AmalStones.

Nationwide, rolling internet outage. Mine crashed just before Casino in Amnoon, and came back within the past 15 minutes. A lot of big companies and their services have been effected from reports going around.

Skyscales hovering overhead is kind of annoying
Memoranda.9386 replied to slpr.2647's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
That guy was literally making a joke. I was in a full bounty train yesterday, and the Skyscales weren't that big of an issue. About half the squad was idling in the air. -
[Merged] Legendary trinket?!
Memoranda.9386 replied to LucianDK.8615's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
6 isn't that many. I've created 4 to get at the Stellar skins, so... Hahah. -
Thank you for improving PoF!
Memoranda.9386 replied to Belisaria.8136's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I feel like this is indeed a long overdue change. But perhaps far too late for me. Personally, I am unlikely to go back to aquire the rare drops that were formerly so rare after having spent a year trying to collect it. Great for new players or others without my level of burnout frustration, however. -
Is Nevermore Legendary a Never...more item
Memoranda.9386 replied to Varonos.9128's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I don't think Vinetooth was ever over-tuned: there was a specific mechanic -- in this case CC -- that was/is needed to complete the encounter that the vast majority of the playerbase continues to struggle with. -
Is Nevermore Legendary a Never...more item
Memoranda.9386 replied to Varonos.9128's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The last time I did Prime, the 20 - 25 people couldn't manage to CC, but still killed it with 3 minutes to spare. LFG when East first starts, make announcements in map chat. You'll have enough people in no time. -
Since the original thread is closed and I don't want to create another one, I'll update this one: When the Dragonfall map was introduced, I completed it the same day and got a BLC key as reward. Then they removed keys from the reward table temporarily. After the patch that brought them back for L80 characters, I completed the new map 11 times with maxed characters and got one key. I conclude that BLC key(s) have been successfully added to the reward table again. However, has anyone else noticed a decline in drop rate? 11 rolls are not sufficient to make a general statement, but it's not what I experienced in many zone completions before. I usually had a drop rate of at least 33%. If the current drop rate is "normal", then I really don't see much potential for an exploit. If you put a 10 hours work day in it with the rechargable porting device, you get 1 key. That's hardly worth the effort. I believe the devs changed the drop rate before adding them to the table again, but I only have my 11 rolls. I assume many other players do the same with their characters, what's your experience after the change? It's luck of the roll. 9 map completes on Sandswept Isles: 5 keys. 9 map completes on Thunderhead Peaks: 1 key. I usually average 2 - 3 keys per LW release.

A large enough mass falling into the sea would act as you describe. Im not sure that physics has much to do with a bear or rat being able to speak. Physics of giant chunk of rock falling from mist and thus creating a tsunami not animals talking.Consider what we've seen in Jahai Bluffs. When the locations pulled from the mists appear, they do not "fall" from above. They simply replace parts of Tyria. So, in this case, there was no impact. There was no huge landmass falling. There was simply a fraction of a second, and then in the place where ocean was before, suddenly was an island consisting of several merged exotic realms. So, no Tsunami whatsoever. At least in Tyria (there might have been some flooding in the places in the Mists where the water that got displaced appeared, though). In the cinematic it's clearly shown that Kralk and chunks of the god's realms are falling. There's nothing to suggest that these islands were placed there. In fact, it's the opposite: They fell.

Requiem: Caithe
Memoranda.9386 replied to Stephane Lo Presti.7258's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Caithe's story was the best of the three, in my opinion. Well written and expressed her heartbreak excellent. -
The only problem I see is that there are too few apples there.
