  1. Maybe you would talk differently if you would be stuck for hours in pvp map after it bugs out. Or if it would bugged out during finals, not giving away any rewards. Yeah, this happened to me twice. I'm not talking differently.
  2. Seriously? PvP doesn't work, so we're going to cancel the one thing pro players (not saying I'm included in this, as I'm like an emergency emergency emergency backup to players who win this thing) look forward to.
  3. Spellbreaker rampage was JUST nerfed. It's a strong elite, and I don't think it needs more nerfs right now, otherwise you boot warriors from the meta all together. I'd rather have more diversity and less CI mirage than less diversity and more CI mirage. I think I speak for most veterans when I say, the game has had the capacity to be fast paced since it was released. D/D ele, S/D (or S/P was more common at the time) thief, warrior hasn't changed much, ect. The playerbase has learned how to min-max for speed and efficiency, and if you take away our ability to play fast and make this a game for toddlers, it's when it's really going to collapse. You'll lose all your veterans and you won't have any guidance for new players. Granted what I'm saying is an extreme. I know you're looking for toning down of instant cast skills, but they've always been there. Here's the thing... Holo melts like butter on a stove if you deny them stability. Watch their corona burst, watch their one block, they melt.
  4. Eternity draw effects or to not trigger FC/Confusion/Ect.
  5. GW1 had this. How did GW2 PvP take such a massive step backwards compared to a game from more than a decade ago.
  6. Lol. Rev is still good. Still has some of the highest DPS in the game. Has unblockables. Has ports. Don't get mad cUz NerFS OuT SkILlED YOU
  7. LOL. Bravo on bringing back this guy's completely bizarre posts in a funny way.
  8. Those top 50 people include some real toxic trolly a-wholes so no thanks. There's no credential that guarantees a good balance opinion. The credential is the people who routinely win the monthly. They're players who have mastered multiple roles and almost (if not completely) all the classes. Players like Reckless, Naru, Kronos, Helio, and the like on NA should be able to weigh in on balance. Not make balance decisions mind you, just weigh in and have their opinions considered.
  9. It's a PvE nerf, in PvP, don't overheat is always the proper response. It is very bad for PvE Holosmiths, not the kind of 'drawback' the spec needs, especially if mechanically strong players can mitigate it by not overheating often, like they currently do Exactly. I hope that holo nerf wasn't targeted at PvP holo because good players (hell, even moderately competent players) never overheat. Unless you're running PBM (which no one does in PvP), this should affect approximately no one. Holo damage also was heavi nerfed... Too many cons for few rewards... Time to scraper or Juggernaut. Less headache.Holo damage is nerfed how? Scrapper is the one that's suffering right now, I hear. Although my hope was that they wouldn't.
  10. Chaith, please make a thread about this. I'd like Anet to make scrapper not just a brainless 1v4 tank, but something that has skillful combos and can do a lot of gruntwork on the sides. You've got great perspective on this, and I was waiting to see what you'd say after testing it.
  11. 8/10 troll. Would love an "old school" version of PvP. (Serious)
  12. It won't negatively impact many people, and maybe it will keep around some of a dying population. Seems worth it to me. It's not more work than I've estimated unless Ben comes in and says: Nex, you're wrong. I estimated it would take a sprint (2 weeks) for a targeted fix. No way it takes longer.
  13. Put it another way: how many people do you think would start (or restart) PvPing if this change were made? 1- In the scheme of things, it's actually very small. It's not a switch you flip, but it's code that's already implemented into the game. It has to be massaged and tested and then rolled out, but it's nothing compared to adding a new map -- let's be real here.2- That's subjective. What other changes are in play? More than a story/espisode/festival being released, yeah more people will play that. But if as a side project this gets rolled out, then you'll have more cross platform participation IN those rollouts.3- For the most part, people won't react to this change. People who have infusions will continue to use them and enjoy them. People who don't have them and don't like them will continue to use standard models (if you weren't already using them for the asurans, you're not in competitive play). People who always wanted them but never had them before will begin to go for them. Per the rules of every change, you'll get one or two debbie downers who take to the forum to complain, and then forget about it in a week or two. Standard models exist for a reason.
  14. I'm glad scrappers can't 1v4 anymore, and I play a bit of scrapper myself. You won't find sympathy on the forums. I don't think its viability was completely killed, but time will tell. Chaith did a really good analysis in another thread, but I'd be interested in peoples' opinions once the patch plays out more fully.
  15. Not every good idea is going to get the dev time it deserves. My point is the small change will boost cross-gamemode play, which benefits the company a great deal. For myself, I don't really care anymore. I used to have ember infusions, Aurilliums, Pospholums, ect. I sold them all because I stopped WvW almost entirely. That's my favorite part about infusions, you can sell them when you're done with them. The only thing I still have is a full set of ghostlies. I'll buy them all back, and possibly even some gems to gold, if they implement in PvP, which I view as my main game mode. Might even make my guild do more events together, too, for the PvE boxes.
  16. Ben, given that many folks work hundreds of hours to acquire infusions, and that infusions are a main driver for event participation (top lootbox drops), don't you feel it would encourage cross-mode gameplay? Something that healthy for PvP seems like a worthwhile investment. While I understand and acknowledge it's not as easy as toggling a button, I work close to this realm, and I don't think it would take more than two weeks for a capable team to implement. Albeit it know it's not a top priority, but — bear with me — if it's something that benefits multiple game modes, why not knock it out?
  17. WvW is the answer to this. I don't believe that's how it works. I think standard models wipe infusions.
  18. Was scrapper gutted??? I don't see anything other than a slight shave in healing (not a shave in barrier creation) that leads me to believe that it was gutted. I think it might be STRONGER in a team setting after the patch. all of its heals over time were removed. new function gyro will not hold this class up. I'm still not convinced.... Scrapper can find a lot of means to generate heals. It has more blocks/reflects than Holosmith and has access to all the same healing if you equate exhaust healing to the barrier Scrapper generates.
  19. This post and the way it's written sums up the forums in a nutshell. Agree about un-nerfing portal 100%. I miss the good/sneaky mesmer moves and being tethered to home (lol warrior reference) because of a solid portal.
  20. Was scrapper gutted??? I don't see anything other than a slight shave in healing (not a shave in barrier creation) that leads me to believe that it was gutted. I think it might be STRONGER in a team setting after the patch.
  21. Anet can do whatever they want to Rampage -- It's a broken skill. But if they remove evade on Bulls, it will be removed from the Meta. Anybody with an eye for interrupts (everybody P2+ who isn't carried by class) will shut Warrior down. I even argue that with no rampage, warrior will STILL fall from the meta. It's quite literally boosted by that one skill. Even without rampage you'll still have 10k Arcing Slices and Whirlwind Blades. Defense Spellbreaker was never bad either. It just got power crept over with the buffs to strength and physicals. It's easier to 2 shot someone than to wear them down with modest but consistent 4k crits (Full Counter Damage Nerf did not help and was the wrong direction to take spellbreaker). Plus with double Balanced Stance and the ability to chain 28 seconds of resistance you're a good match for the new Chaotic Interruption Mirages running around. Spellbreaker was meta long before they were running Rampage or Bull's Rush and they did fine. When SPB was meta before using Rampage & Rush, they hadn't had multiple heavyhanded nerfs. Defense spellbreaker is fine. I'm good at it, and have several videos wrecking people with it. But discipline is more skillful. Discipline is what dies with a bulls rush nerf. " Spellbreaker was meta long before they were running Rampage or Bull's Rush and they did fine. " It had noticeable busted things though that carried it and were nerfed over time outside of needing bull's charge and rampage though... Core was it's duel counter in this time lol Had different amulets, different meta classes, balance has happened since, and spellbreaker itself received noticeable nerfs in full counter (pretty much what carried it before nerfs). The only thing about Spellbreaker that has changes were either buffs to other warrior things and Full Counter getting it's damage nerfed. That's it. Yes, you repeated what I said. But you left out the other things I mentioned. When you balance, it isn't just Nerf X or Y from a class and then start clapping. There's outside variables to take into consideration too most importantly that metas shift outside of Spellbreaker because other things are being balanced around SB too. Spellbreaker may have never even seen a nerf at all, but might have it's stance changed just because a lot of outside variables have changed too. But to confirm the point, "that's it" is making it out like Full Counter wasn't the reason Spellbreaker didn't need Rampage and Bull's Charge before, when it performed over the top because of Full Counter (and everybody's newness to it has an impact as well). FC Nerfs: December 11, 2018 The damage applied by this skill in competitive modes has been reduced from 75% of PvE to 25% of PvE. Its daze duration in competitive game modes has been increased to 1.5 seconds. March 27, 2018 Reduced damage by 14% in PvP and WvW. November 07, 2017 Increased recharge from 8 seconds to 12 seconds in PvP and WvW only. October 17, 2017 Fixed a bug in which this ability gained the damage bonus from Revenge Counter twice. The base damage of this ability has been reduced by 12.5% in PvP and WvW only. -- Also: forceful greatsword was nerfed 10% dmg -> 120 power .Megabane tether was nerfedFeatherfoot grace CD increased by 10 sec(s)Aura Slicer increased cooldown 6 -> 8Break enchantment reduction of damage by 50%Stun reduction in disrupting stabdagger auto attack 15% dmg reduction I mean, the list can go actually go on.. This is just from 2 patches, yet you claim only FC was nerfed.2-7 were the same patch Rampage got buffed... Will SB get those back after Rampage is nerfed? People only see one side of the picture in balance. Nerf this, be done with it when you don't even follow the class and understand what actually has been nerfed to compensate for a Rampage change to begin with. What would SB get in compensation for a Bull's Charge nerf or Rampage nerf? From this it might look like I'm defending Rampage... I'm not, it's overtuned and needs some nerfs but what will they get back that was lost in return for having that elite be in a functional state, regardless if it's overtuned or not?Not sure what you were saying to me in your first quote, but I agree with your reply to the Mirage.
