I don't talk anymore. Baddies just laugh at the advice or strategy, so you just have to try to carry them, or (I'm trying this now) not play the game much anymore because this mode receives little to no support. Sure, a map every once in a while that is inaccessible.

Warrior, Engineer and former top Ele. I prefer an in-your-face brawler class, and those fit it for me. I don't like having "pets" so that naturally makes ranger and mesmer a no-go for me. Stealth annoys me (don't really use it on engineer) so there goes thief for the most part, although I mained it for a time when daredevil came out. Rev can be fun, but I don't like all my skills being chosen for me, so I only play it off and on. I do play guardian every so often, but the cooldowns are bleh, and burn guard is just cheese. I still could be a good ele, but I protest the class and Anet's lack of knowledge of how to balance it.

There might be one or two others (I don't wanna say that's an exhaustive list) but why I respond to this is to agree and say: For all other forms of "invuln" have some counter. Whether it's by engineer's shield block & knock, shocking aura, necromancer marks, corruptions, ect.

I want to be clear on the rules. All I need to do when I fight is have only offhand dagger on? You said normal utilities, so no elite, or only no daggerstorm? Only off-hand dagger without help of other weapons, all utilities and elite skills allowed except DrD utilities (including Impact Strike) and DS. EDIT: Can play Daredevil, just can't use its utilities and Impact Strike I am experimenting with voice overs in this video, but I was in a hurry and still want to "set the sound into the scene". And, no that is not how I sound in real life. I just tried a voice and changed the pitch a bit with Audacity to make it sound like an old southern man. And YES he is mumbling to himself in a bar. I decided to not use thieves guild as I felt it would be "cheating". Did it on a FTP so I couldn't use elites. If it doesn't satisfy the requirements, I hope the story is entertaining. I don't care whether it's solo, duo or 5-man, as I rarely play ranked anymore, but you have to admit. The top tier just wants the easiest way to climb. And it's easier to climb right now while in a skillful duo by queue dodging other top-tier players, messaging them on discord "don't queue right now I'm queueing." All the while, you're farming gold-tier players rather than actually competing against people in your skill bracket. Idk the solution, but it's not really fun right now for me at least.

Yikes. If you think this fits the theme of holo... You're proposing multiple builds being able to shut holo down, including the burn guard whose skill floor is super high, burn engi and burn weaver. That should be enough for you to realize that this is just a silly suggestion.

I think it's a perfect balance. I don't like to play games for too long, so when my Switch battery is low, I take a break and charge it. So hear me out: Let's say money is no object, and there are devs with free time to spare. Wouldn't it be awesome if we got something fresh/new to play with on a different platform? The thing I've been dreaming about recently is recapturing my youth by having Guild Wars 1 on the Nintendo Switch. A lot of games that were as complex as GW1 if not more complex are on the Switch, (although GW1 would have some economy things to work out if put on Switch). But I've also always thought it would be neat to have a trading post/inventory management/guild chat app as a companion app for taking bits and pieces of GW2 on the go. I close this post by saying I realize most of this is unlikely, and I don't want to take any focus away from GW2 development, but I like to dream, so feel free to dream with me. What would you like to see

Pretty sure nothing is done unless hard incriminating evidence is provided. The in-game report buttons aren't enough. It must be difficult for Arenanet to distinguish between someone AFKing to answer their door to pay for a pizza, and actual throw AFKs. There is a particular email address we are supposed to send hard evidence to. Can't really remember it off the top of my head. Point being, if you had evidence worthy to send to this address, say a recorded discussion in discord, or a screen recording displaying someone clearly using fly/tele hacks, those players will get busted. The in game report tools don't do much and I don't blame Arenanet for ignoring the majority of it. Can you imagine how many times those in game report tools are clicked a day? I'm sure they see far too much use to ever sort through and realistically investigate. So the current system doesn't work well. Why can't it be changed for the better. Hire mods or player managers to watch/check in on even 5-10 percent of matches, or investigate some percentage of the reports somehow. Flag repeat offender accounts and over time, perma dishonor them. I'm not the expert. I have a few ideas, but I know the current system doesn't work well, and I'd love to see that change for the better.

Love a few of the points mentioned in this thread, including: Rating loss should be tempered in some way -- whether that's through top stats that actually make sense and have been tested/proven to be accurate for real contributors. Top stats, as mentioned above, should just make sense. Current "top stats" are more of an indicator of who played at far all game. They also give newbies fuel to say "well I have more stats than you so you suck! Hmmph!" Removing/punishing idle players would improve things by A LOT. I can't count the number of times I get a player who just decides to jump around in the spawn after losing one engagement, or one player who just runs to far and dies in the same suspicious way all game, effectively making it a 4v5. What does Anet plan to do about real issues that plague the game mode?

You're missing the point. It's possible the toning down of HoT specs is because they're gearing up for a new set of elite specs that will outshine even PoF specs.

It's unfortunate, but we felt it was necessary. We felt it was better to postpone the tournament rather than having something go wrong in during the tournament and compromise it. I appreciate Anet doing what they feel is right. I just wish you and your team had more resources to devote to something a lot of us at least used to love. I feel the mode is bleeding players and playtime, and with just a little bit of love, that wouldn't be the case.Cheers.
