The game needs new players far more than returning players or existing players as new players actually buy the game with real money.Expansions and LS only benefit existing players.

Stables for mounts are not possible as the mounts dont exist in the game as separate entities from the player.In effect you are your mount.

The other interesting way of looking at the problem is that in an MMO, you dont own anything.All of the IP , the characters and the games content are owned by the game company, not you , so this would also apply to loot boxes.Nothing you get from a lootbox is yours.

The options for improvements are running out while the level cap remains and no significant upgrades are made to the game engine.About the only improvements could be cosmetic ones.Any major improvement needs to be something that most players would have some use for and none of the options in the poll come close.I suspect that Anet have shot themselves in the foot with the introduction of the mounts, because it leaves very little left to attract players.Better mounts would just make the existing ones redundant and then no players would want them.

Theres far more needed than a new mount .The game movement code would have to redesigned to allow one player to control another players movements so that the player controlling the mount also controls the movement of the other player riding on it.Its essentially an implementation of the follow command which this game doesnt have.

If a game company charges a monthly sub to play their game , are they exploiting their players?

If lootboxes are removed, Anet will have to make up the lost revenue somehow.How would you suggest they do that?

I just want more free stuff added to the game .I dont care what it is , but more free stuff just has to be good for the game.

Most people in RL who play lotteries keep doing it on a regular basis even though most never win anything, and most dont even know or care what the astronomical odds are of winning the first prize .Part of the reason is the thrill of possibly winning, ie you have to be in it to win.The BLC is the same , its all about the possibility of getting one of the super rare items , but in this game because everyone wants rewards for doing anything, Anet has to give everyone who opens a BLC something, even if its junk.Would people be happier if it was possible to simply buy the super rare items from a vendor at a far higher price than for example buying several hundred BLC keys?

Even if its not possible to allow players to be bad guys, at least even up the battles so that the existing bad guys can rez other dead bad guys.

Only 2800 hours and 3 ascended loot boxes and 2 precursors all from the AB meta, nothing from anywhere else.

And the above is the issue.The question should be changed to Do you enjoy Map completion for the reward you get?ie would you do map completion if you didnt get a GOE?

Where are people getting the information from regarding the numbers of inactive accounts and the number of inactive names.?Only ANet would know this, so please provide links which provide this information, otherwise its just wild guesswork.

It would if you could make compelling content at the same rate as players go thru the content and get bored with it , but you cant .All MMOs need some mechanism to get players to go thru old content over and over to keep them in the game and this is usually done by providing some rare commodity that can only be obtained by doing the now boring content.

Theres no reason in the game for names to be pronouncible, because no one in the game actually talks, except the NPCs, and they dont refer to you by your characters name.So names like xxyyzzqa are just as good as John Smith.People seem obsessed with having real world names in a fantasy world.

Does your MB have onboard graphics , if so remove your pcie graphics card, and run the game on the onboard graphics card.Performance will be poor , but if the game is OK and doesnt crash , then the problem is most likley the driver for the pcie graphics card, or the card itself, although this is rare.

19 chars is plenty.How many possible names do you think can be made from 19 characters where any character can be any letter from a - z with spaces included?

WOW is a sub based game .Its not unreasonable that if people arnt paying to play the game then they can lose some of their characters attributes like the name.GW2 is NOT sub based game and Anet have NEVER indicated that lack of play will lose you your characters names.

The policy would seem to imply that gaining an advantage by not using a 3rd party program would be OK , ie using hardware to obtain the advantage.

If you think about it there is a lot of 3rd party software that will enhance the games playability but is completely allowed.eg I buy myself a much higher end video card for my computer, load some 3rd party software, in this the driver for my new card and I get double the FPS in the game.I now have much better playability AND I now have a greater advantage that a person playing the game on an old clapped out laptop.

No MMos do this and the reason is the same .They hope that players who have left the game will eventually come back, and think of the outrage when you do and your name is gone.Also, such a policy would have to be declared when the game was released so people would be assured that they wont be penalised for taking a break.

What does it matter?Are you going to stop playing the game NOW, because it might die at some future undefined date ?
