  1. too bad. only weavers get nice things I laughed the first time I saw the two traits of weaver about vitality. Like they knew this issue with elem, but they only tried to balance Weaver to stay discreet. Or maybe because sword weaver need it more than others?
  2. I read that, but it makes no difference, other invuln skills behave like that in pve aswell. Rly... you want those invuln frames for world bosses? Oof. Guess you have to choose now, survive that pve mechanic with an invuln, or survive it by other means, or deal all the deeps while tanking it. Just popping invuln and keep dpsing sounds lazy to me. Btw, there are mobs that have to be stomped, even in pve :) What about Endure Pain then? Yeah, you can still be damaged by conditions but let's be honnest, it's almost like invincibility in pve.
  3. Exactly, ele signets are almost terrible except 2 of them: healing and fire.If I pick written in stone, it is only for those 2...
  4. I agree with you, fire is a lot better for condi. Earth is just adding some minor condi damage. I don't even understand how ANet has been missing that point. Earth is so outdated. Strenght of Stone ICD is stupid as immobilize is already a rare condition. Plus 3 bleeding on a single target is far from OP...Rock Solid, does anyone has ever used it ? 1 stack of stability is already weak, but on top of that, it's only 2 seconds !!Earthen Blessing has a nice concept, but it should decrease duration up to 50-75% to be worth considering. Reaper's one reduce is 66% in Reaper form. Earth should be stronger, I mean, look at all those earth monsters immune to soft or hard CC.Diamond Skin is only good on a tanky build and Earth line doesn't really help with this. Especially because Stone Heart is one of the best trait to be tankier, but it only works on earth, which makes it less desirable.
  5. Like I said, if you use mace. For any dps warrior, you will be force to take Power Attack if you pick defense. IMO, defense will loose its value for any offensive build. I agree, especially if healing nerf is on par with all those damage nerfs. Still, we regularly see revamp skills and traits. Look at revenant revamps next patch.I would rather wait one more months and have new traits to replace passive ones. How many months we will wait for them? We can assume it will 3 at least and it could easily be 6.3 months with unusable traits for every professions, for 2 game modes over 3. I agree with spellbreaker but berserker is not going to kill anyone with damage nerf, at least not with double arc divider. They have nerfed cooldowns on all defensive skills (endure pain, dolyak, balance, shake it off). Beeing disabled in a zerg is a death sentence if you run berserker stats. Stunbreak have been shut down, outrage from 10 to 25s!We will see how it changes battles, but I fear the worst. However, it should be better in small scale battles and roaming.
  6. It's not like you have much choice in defense anyways. Defy pain is most likely better than other master choices. Power attack is not great and the last one requires using a mace. Last stand is nice for its active effects. I especially like it with frenzy stance. Cleansing ire is only good if you have cleanse issues. And Rousing is currently great, but not sure after nerf. What strikes me is they always delay changes. Nobody is gonna use those 300s cooldowns. We might stick with them for months. Less build diversity. I am not happy with their choice of nerfing sustain skills or traits. When you are playing melee, you definitly need more sustain than the backline. If those changes encourage melee to get toughness or vitality, it will lower their offensive power, something that defensive skills did not.
  7. Parenthood worths more than in game time ?Sometimes, I am thinking about that good old time playing with no family around. Now, when kids are away and I can play as much as I want, I miss them and get bored after a couple of hours.Well, I'm getting old too.
  8. Excellent ideas. I like the protection and resistance idea tbh. I think it would be cool too, and tbh pretty balanced. Then you would be comparing 5s of protection against 5s of superspeed and a stun break on a 5s longer cooldown. I feel like this is pretty in-line in terms of power level. Also, another thing to consider is that Anet can't add too much to the skill because Last Stand still exists and would probably lead to it being really overloaded if you took the trait. Once Last Stand is reworked then they will be more free to play with the skill. Until then, just don't use it.Last Stand is as good as dead with 300s cooldown.Protection wouldn't fit the stance's name. It should have an offensive part. Adrenaline gain is sometimes useless, but there are still times I struggle to fill my 3 bars. It all depends on your build. Overall, this stance is not that bad, just we have better utilities.
  9. I don't see a problem with aggro in open world. It doesn't matter if you are solo and if you are not, encounter should be easy (if players are smart enough to revive downed). Toughness allows you to solo champions. Something that dodges only will never btw. I am talking about strong ones like in HoT or Orr zones. Without toughness and some stunbreak, you are going down on first hard cc. I like to carry half knight stats for this matter. It is effectively wasted for anything else that is easier. But to me, fun comes from strong champions.
  10. Sigil of Draining should help with damage part. It could become the only way to deal damage with CC (alongside with Lightning Rod ele).
  11. I have used riffle in some meta events with a lot of mobs.My main concern was to be able to tag as fast as possible.Needless to say that you can't rely on auto for anything. However, volley was good as it is fast and pierces. It was my only but strong tagging skill. Finally, burst is obviously strong, but everything was actually dead before I could fire it!
  12. Even if you play melee, Tornado leaves you vulnerable to any attack.Tornado is only effective on a full glass cannon with Lightning Rod. Then, you are very fragile and I was downed several times because I was hesitant to leave form.
  13. Many HoT mobs are hard.Pocket raptors for example. You can attack them with auto only and survive? Okay, now PoF, can you auto those djinns that easily? Or even in lake doric, can you still handle those centaur snipers with auto only? When some say it's hard, it's really for a minor part overall.
  14. Shiro, without any doubt. I love shiro's story in GW1, and I trembled each time I had to face him (mainly due to legendary survivor title). It's the only legend where I use all utilities and elite regularly. I also like the elite shout he occasionally does. Its backflip stunbreak is something I miss with other legends.
  15. Kite and bait blocks. If it's a symbol core guard running GS and Sw/Shield they only have two gap closers, Sword2 and JI. Their burst looks like GS5 > JI > Smite Condition > F1> GS5 > GS4 > GS2. If you dodge/evade that burst combo you''ll avoid a lot of their damage potential. After that you just need to not stand in the symbols and bait their blocks before using your own burst. Thanks for the pointers. I dont run meta, thus dont normally use standard rotations, however they seemed to be 1 step ahead of me. WHat do you folks have that keeps healing you like every second (and it wasnt the regen boon)Virtue of resolve (which can be buffed with trait)And elite signet (less likely to be used though).
  16. You forgot to link your current build? It helps to understand, doesn't it? ?
  17. You can't blame DH or Scourge's gameplay just because it is OP in some context. Look at their abilities in www roaming, it's almost the opposite (for traps and shades) .IMO, it's just GW2 very basic pvp mode, compared to their GW1 masterpiece.Different pvp mode was a solid base of enjoyment and success. One reason I love GW1 pvp and hate GW2 one.Capturing points is boring. Team annihilation was something I loved to play.
  18. Just so you know, that is a hybrid, not a power build. As a hybrid, that's is a good build. Yeah, unlock DE ASAP, Binding Shadow alone is worth it for your build, not to mention Malicious stealth attacks. Yeah I know, I feel that hybrid would be more efficient for shortbow than power only, regarding core spec. Deadeye might change this.
  19. It will take me time to unlock elite, so I was thinking something like this:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PaxAUhjlZwoYYsLGJO2KbrXA-zRJYsRN/pkjIoYhQ4SgWWAOdaQxpF-e Utilities can change, depending on situation.Global idea is short bow choking gas spam, with auto as filler. Daggers when needed (vs champion, reflect).
  20. Thank you, I will look at all this :)
  21. Is power shortbow actually decent in OW? I used it because my leveling thief just got a rare one and I found out that boucing attack was great against multiple foes, even better than PP unload. With good damage, I can killed several foes around me in seconds, thanks to the homing boucing attack. On drawback, its damage is very low vs one opponent and I can't find good reason to use initiative beyond the poison thing (to get 25% more damage).I was wondering if grieving stats could provide better results? Or just sticking to berserker. Considering I still have to switch to melee or PP for single target veteran or champion.Traitlines would be deadly arts, critical strikes, X (depending on situation)
  22. Which trait are you referring to? One traitline you meant? If you take defense, strength, berserk, you have all sustain you need. Tactics could provide more for core, but most would pick discipline anyway. You can still take discipline instead of defense if you confortable enough.
  23. How do you manage your initiative? And it's still in melee range, any smart opponent would stay out of range.
