  1. I appreciate the thought of the gift of these armor sets.
  2. It's a matter of relativity. Relative to most games, GW2 is full of nice people.Arena is FAR to over-protective and censors everything we say on the forums so if you judge the community by what is posted here you'll think we are all a boring bunch of kittens. Get off these forums, go to a guild wars forum without storm-trooper thought-police censoring every post and you'll see a much more human side of the player base. Weird, I see uncensored posts all of the time. I personally dont see it as thought policing to allow people to post opinions, negative as well as positive, so long as they maintain some semblance of civility in the process.
  3. I would say that as long as game systems encourage good behavior the community is pretty good. When game implementation brings the sort of player conflict found in other games, then less so.
  4. Have to admit that seeing a sand eel agro and leap from the better part of a mile away is a bit off IMO.
  5. Honestly not true. Most fights have some mechanic you should at least pay attention to. Be it the one shot of the Deadeye dude or that you might have trouble damaging through the heal of the ooze if you miss the DPS check. The fact the enemies can be easily stunlocked makes them easy though. Subject 7 dies so fast he doesn't even have the chance to heal at all. He litereally dies in 2 sec if you use power dps, just walk up to the boss and he just dies. Same for all the other bosses, just walk up to the boss, unload your dps and it's dead in 2 sec. This matches my experience (Sic Em + Whirling Defense) as well, but not all builds do as much burst as you describe. Perhaps the op can post their profession so that some advice can be provided. A lot of people seem to lose track of the fact that changing builds to meet the needs of a given encounter is a core mechanic here.
  6. not to pull your leg on this but if you are 30KG you're ether reeaally small or really underweight......or it's a typo. He is 30kg overweight, meaning that his actual weight is 30kg greater than ideal. there is no ideal weight, just the ideal "fashion" weight. Keep telling yourself that.

  8. I would have preferred less tech in gw2, but I dont think that player controlled motorcycles would be immersion breaking in a game that already includes tanks, helicopters, armored personnel vehicles, motorcycles, and submarines.
  9. And many years to develop. It takes a huge amount of time to build s brand new mmo. Obviously. But if i had a choice, GW3 would be it and it wouldn't even be a contest. New engine alone would make a much much better experience.Cannot disagree. I would love for an overhaul of the engine, and other elements that devs have said are not likely to happen (dyeable weapons for example) because of decisions (some regretted now) made early on in the coding process. But the time and cost seem prohibitive.
  10. Also, don't other races have something to contribute to the story? Besides impromptu fodder as soldiers? Yeah, it is dreadfully boring and humancentric. Always been since we set foot in Elonia (i.e PoF and onwards). I'm really, really hoping for the plot to focus on Jormag so that the Norns get their turn in the spotlight... Weird, I would have thought the opposite. All of the important characters are non human (not counting a human commander). Asuran, Norn, Charr, and Sylvari NPCs drive the story. Irrelevant when they're "driving" an extremely human-centric story. A point was made asking if the non human races had something to contribute to the story. Non humans are the primary contributors to the story. Which again is irrelevant to the point I was making - and you quoted me as if responding to me directly. As you were specifically quoting a post about whether or not human races had something to contribute to the story it seemed on point.

  13. Isnt there another GW3 thread just touch further down on this same page?
  14. Yeah, I remember giving them away way back when...
  15. Taimi's death wouldnt solve anything. She would quickly be replaced by another asuran technobabble expert. What should die, IMO, is the over reliance on this one approach to solving almost every problem.
  16. So you are salty because you/your PC is not the most important special snowflake in GW2. Not even close to what he posted.
  17. We taste terrible, and carry many diseases, but hey, go for it.
  18. In my opinion she has been the character with the single greatest impact on the story, so far. The story may not be just about one person, but Taimi has been over used, the driving force in much of the story.
  19. Agreed Unfortunately Taimi is that well...visited time and again.
  20. Haven't seen anyone request that a child die in this thread. Some requests, with which I disagree, for a piece of fiction to be killed off though.
  21. To me this is the issue. I dont want the character killed off, I just dont care for the excessive, IMO, use as a plot device.
