As much as I hate power creep and only buffing, this is kind of a big issue. My friend took a break during PoF, came back 2-3 years later, and the best build to play was still DH for guardian and guardian was still basically the best class to play. He returned to doing the EXACT same rotation and thing he was doing 2-3 years ago(At least now they made sword > scepter but it wasn't like that back when he returned). There's a lot of replay value is just ADDING new ways to play or CREAITNG new builds instead of only NERFING every single build players find that works well. An expansion launch is a great time to completely mix things up, go wild, and try buffing random stuff. What if scepter weaver is now optimal for DPS instead of sword? That'd be a cool new interesting playstyle to come back to! There's tons of examples, but you should get the point. They simply don't create things to look forward to, patches AND expansions should be "Whoa i can't try out all these new changes!", while with Anet it's "oh god what builds did they delete now?" That's bad. Your player base should be excited for patches, not dread them. inb4 this post gets deleted because I gave constructive criticism regarding the devs decisions in this game.

Considering the people who make the top benchmarks disagree with their decisions, you'd be wrong.

Fishing gold/hour is pretty meh and titles aren't that amazing. Fishing needed more goals but instead you put it into the gem store..

Not all the same, 3 of the chests are not worth your time and DE's also isn't going to be worth your time for very long. These metas are STILL worse than Drizzlewood / Dragonsfall / Dragonstorm / Silverwastes for gold/hour while also not even providing unique cosmetics/infusions. Why?

Firebrand does 33.2k while giving 100% uptime on quickness.

Yes there is, 1 shot mechanics are blocked by aegis. That restricts content design and makes certain specs/classes much better than others.

There won't be any strikes after these new 4, I guarantee it. The people who want 20 minute long square room bosses went to FFXIV years ago.

The benchmark guilds take nearly 10 minutes to do these fights:

Numerous issues with the new strikes. They go on for far too long(Nerf everythings HP by at least 1/3) They aren't rewarding at all Aegis blocks 1 shot mechanics still(why?) Stability blocks knock downs still(why?) Visual clarity is a disaster. You can't see mechanics properly. The fights are too easy while also requiring full attention or you die. Decide if you want hard fights or easy fights, this in between just feels terrible. I don't want to repeat these fights at all. They're one and done.

How is it? Roaming - > fight thieves you can't interact with(perma stealth) or bunkers you can't interact with, and every class has insane mobility so they can just run to a tower/keep anytime they want. Zergs - > fight invincible boonballs you can't interact with. Make your own boonball, then the outcome is decided PURELY on numbers. Wow fun gameplay. WvW is being unable to interact with players in PvP. It's the worst PvP in the entire genre. Crappy free to play pay to win KMMOs have better pvp.

WvW is the worst mode in the entire game. The wintersday snowball PvP is better PvP than WvW.

Compare it to every other buffer in the game is why. Also harbringer shroud is pulsing quickness as I move and the mech follows you, so zero reason for jade sphere being immobile.
