  1. Permanent lounge passes have been scarce this year...only Royal Terrace has had a prolonged presence in the gem store, but the others only showed up once earlier this year from what I've seen so far.

It's Anet's way of artificially slowing players down from completing content too fast, getting bored, and then running off to another game...that, coupled with barely having anywhere outside a camp or city that you can even sit still for a minute to peruse the big world map (cuz I swear the mini map keeps shrinking) without getting aggro'd. 😏
  3. Applies to anyone that relies on runes for their effects not just their stats, really...we'll have to wait and see how they manage the transition.
  4. Still bugged...on Soulbeast with greatsword and launched into the water after catching a fish...will try the workaround but this should have been fixed by now!
  5. So you're saying they will give us a relic for each bonus removed from each rune set we own? That's great!
  6. Nerfs are related to balancing issues...they don't remove stats from weapons and turn around to have you grind or buy the removed stats back from them, they are small irreversible adjustments. This is more akin to the neighborhood bully taking half of your sandwich and not giving it back unless you pay him for it.
  7. Yet nothing was taken away first to add new weapons into the mix...new weapons are new content without old content disappearing.

We'll have to see how it plays out, but it could be on par with having Anet remove all your Ascended armor and giving you all Exotics in exchange, then giving you a few Ascended back in return, but not enough to cover all your builds, and you'll have to grind to get the rest of your Exotics upgraded back to Ascended in the stats you need.
  9. Because in typical Anet fashion, lots of kitten has been left unsaid, leaving everyone to guess the outcome based on whether they are a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty personality...

To me it seemed Vallun was basically saying what you said in a different way, that Cele was Anet's design to help newer players, especially those that didn't have time to particularly "git gud" with a particular build and can step into something more forgiving and not have to worry about min-maxing them, so it allows them to jump in and have fun and be a jack of all trades but master of none. Cele also works well for solo roamers that don't have a buddy and have to rely on their own boons and heals. And yes, while the total combined stats can appear problemmatic, Cele should not be singled out as being the only issue behind power crept builds and it isn't used by default in all cases. You're still going to take the Minstrel builds for healing support in a zerg or a fight guild comp, for example, even with the cost of that extra healing not being as efficient as it is with Cele. Don't we see the same diminishing returns with how the 24 and 32 slot bags work versus 18 or 20 slot bags, paying exponentially more gold to eke out a small increase in total capacity such that the efficiency of the gold spent per bag slot goes down the toilet in the higher capacity bags? Diminishing returns applies to gear as well, with the cost of exotic being more bang for your buck stat-wise than ascended, so for newer players, exotic is the way to go until they have a lot more gold and time to splurge on ascended, and then finally on legendary once they have reached full ascended gear, and that particularly expensive step offers no stat increases but only an increase in utility, or in fashion wars. Anet seems to like this concept of diminishing returns, and Cele seems to be the starting point from which certain stats can be improved for those that want to specialize even more in power, condi or healing, though obviously at the cost of stats that may or may not even be useful to them. Honestly, I'd rather see everyone running around in Cele than these one-shot power builds we have now...at least fights would be more determined by movement skills and combo rotations than by stats.
  11. Which would mean no new maps ever again, as the devs implied if we had voted to delete RBL those many years ago. RBL is a roamer's dream given the complexity of the terrain. My vote would be to get rid of all hostile PVE creatures...they can keep you in battle and prevent you from mounting while the zerg chasing you has already mounted up, among other annoyances.
  12. Well they did have to abandon certain projects and lay off people a few years back, so they must not exactly be swimming in cash...there's always room for improvement.
  13. And yet we can go into our character wardrobe and see all the potential outfits, finishers, etc. that are available...they just need to add an option in the wardrobe to buy those items directly even if they aren't "featured" in the gem store.
  14. There have been shield skins in the gem store, and some of them are quite good...I'm partial to such skins as the Mist Stranger and Wolfheart.
  15. And there seems to be a quirk where the mail goes to the first character you log in with and any characters after that cannot see the mail delivery, so always have your first character of the day retrieve the mail.
  16. I assume you didn't mention thief because it is always implied it does well in roaming, and you didn't mention warrior because it is always implied it does poorly...😉

I'm sure the Legendary Armory itself was no small undertaking, one that actually shortens a player's grind for needing multiple legendary armor sets and probably cost Anet sales in Equipment Templates or Bank Storage or Shared Inventory slots as all legendary armor now has its own special storage method. And, how many people actually benefited from the Legendary Armory? The estimates we've seen were pretty low, and I'm betting more people have unlimited gathering tools than legendary armor...I know I had multiple sets before I even started on legendaries.

  23. Due to supply chain issues, spackle is currently unavailable...they're looking for a suitable substitute...duct tape maybe? 😉
