  1. I've kicked around a couple ideas for fractals and here's what I've come up with; First up, The Choya fractal: This one leans on some dark humor a bit. You and your party are turned into choya and must accompany the "Great Hero" on their quest to slay a hydra that is terrorizing the choya village... By looting an Order of Shadows caravan for weapons (yours) and a farm for food (cuz the hero is hungry), killing innocent civilians each time. Then when you fight the hydra, the hero realizes that it is too strong and leads it away from the choya village... By luring it into a human village where it destroys everything before being brought down by humans. Then the "Great Hero" decides they're gonna kill you and your party so they can take all the credit in slaying the hydra (which they did NOT) and now you must defend yourselves. After killing them and returning to the choya village, the village elder concludes that the hero heroically died fighting the hydra and you all avenged them. And then the village breaks out into a dance as Dessa laments at how utterly pointless this fractal was. "Welp, I hope you enjoyed 'No Moral Theater'" Dessa says as she insists that everyone return at once and pretend this never happened Next, The Crystal Sea fractal: This one is more epic then the choya fractal but more bizarre. Your party awakes in front of the 5 human gods who imply that they pulled you directly out of the mists themselves and brought you into the past. They have conscripted you and your group in aiding them in the final assault against Abbadon and his margonite army. After tearing through his forces you will come face to face with the fallen god himself. But not before he pulls his own champion out of the mists for you to fight. The champion you face will be different depending on what tier you're playing this fractal on. After words you'll aid in dealing the final blow against Abbadon and the fractal ends with the gods returning you from whence you came. With everyone involved wondering if it was really just another fractal or if the gods actually did what they claimed. And that's what I've come up with, what fractals would you want?
  2. I actually read on reddit some time ago that the Summer Light (rifle) was a scrapped weapon from early in the game's development IIRC. So it stands to reason that the other two were former scrapped weapons as well
  3. We're expecting to hear more details next month, plus there's the revisiting of past seasons where you can get a voucher for a gen 3 precursor weapon in EoD as well as a legendary amulet
  4. I have 3 different looks for my mesmer based on each spec (vanilla, chrono, mirage) but I want to use one for all 3 which should I use? A. https://imgur.com/VkmsPAU, B. https://imgur.com/BWL24l2, or C. https://imgur.com/6OysZ90?
  5. Personally I would have gone with Spellslinger, but I like where you're going with this
  6. I've posted about this on here numerous times before, but what I want is an asura-themed elite spec centered around the golemancers, Oola and Zinn. The Savant, as I call it, would grant you a classic golem that you would have more control over compared to other AI pets and such through their utility skills and wields a scepter
  7. I would like to see what the firebrand tomes would look like for non-human and non-elonians. For example, My headcanon for my main norn firebrand's tomes would be something like this; Tome of Justice: Recounts the legand of Jora's hunt for the Nornbear Tome of Resolve: Recounts the legend of the Spirits of Wild when they led the norn away from Jormag and Owl's sacrifice Tome of Courage: Recounts the legend Aesgir Dragonrender and how he bravely stood against Jormag
  8. I only want 2 things; 1. To have all utility skill types have their own healing and/or elite skills across all professions 2. For all utility skills to be useful underwater
  9. Guardian -> Avenger: OH sword. DPS melee. Virtues become furies, can only focus on one fury at a time but can release an aoe burst once charged up similar to Tempest. Rage utility skills speed up fury charge time Revenant -> Savant: MH scepter. DPS/condi. Legendary Golemancer Stance channels both Oola and Zinn at the same time and summons classic golem to fight with you. Command utility skills gives you more control over golem than most A.I. summons Ranger -> Warden: Hammer. CC bruiser. Build up energy to turn into a tree monster like the Warden mobs of GW1. Deciding on either rage or punishments as utility skills Engineer -> Apothecary: Mace. Condi. Replaces slot 3 weapon skill with mh/oh combo similar to theif. Gains Chemical utility skills that add boons/conditions to weapon skills similar to thief's venom skills Theif -> Gangleader: MH mace or GS. Dps/support. Gains Minion utility skills that summon thugs that give allies different boons Mesmer -> Psychomancer: Dual Daggers. Replaces illusions/clones with new condi called Hex. Idea came from this post last year and I support it Elementalist -> Spellslinger: Dual pistols. Ranged dps. Replaces attunements with limited use Ammo. All weapon skills channel arcane energy when not attuned to any elements Necromancer -> Seance: Either longbow or shortbow. Ranged condi/support. Gains Charm utility skills that grant boons/inflict conditions. A mix between ranger spirits and warrior banners
  10. Here's what I've come up with; Guardian/Avenger: Off-hand sword Revenant/Savant: Scepter. Gains Legendary Golemancer Stance (Oola + Zinn) Warrior/Monk: Melee staff Engineer/Apothecary: Main-hand Mace Ranger/Juggernaut: Hammer Thief/Gangleader: Greatsword Elementalist/Spellslinger: Dual pistols Mesmer/Psychomancer: Dual daggers Necromancer/Seance: Longbow or Shortbow
  11. Here's hoping that we get holo mordrem mobs other then the Vinetooth
  12. We've seen Kralk as a storm in PoF so Primordus turning into magma wouldn't be that out of the ordinary
  13. I picked a norn guardian cuz I wanted to be like a giant tank that supports the other players, now years later, I'm a HB+QB so I can do that and more!. Plus, I love the knockback on the hammer. That's right! I'm a hammer guard and don't care what anyone thinks! His name is Sven Delacroix BTW https://imgur.com/0x2EftI https://imgur.com/so0yftr
  14. So, I can probably guess how ppl might feel about this, but I wanted to know how ppl feel about rping as the Commander from the living world story? I ask cuz I have a main that runs the story content but also has his own backstory that sorta ties him to my main from GW1
  15. Oh, I thought you meant the pfps. I see it now
  16. Do you have a link to this? I can't seem to find it
  17. If I could, I'd add an entirely new race of reptilian ppl. I don't have a name for them but they'd be an evolutionary offshoot of the Forgotten except they'd have 2 arms and 2 legs, stand upright, and almost as tall as the shortest norn. They'd also have tails but theirs would be half the length of the charr tails
  18. I feel it might be simpler to just add them in a patch. But I agree that all professions need elite skills for each type of utility skill they have
  19. I don't have much really. But I do have an idea (or the beginnings of one anyway) for one called a Seance, where they would have either a longbow or shortbow and their shroud skills would have access to distortion. Thematically, it's centered around communing with the dead and traversing the afterlife (which is what the distortion is used for)
  20. So with EoD on the way, What do you guys think we'll learn regarding fates of the Kurzicks and Luxons in Cantha? Do you guys think they're still around in one way or another? My own guess is that many were forcibly assimilated into Canthan culture while others were either killed or forced to flee either out to sea or go underground to escape persecution. And if either of those groups of people are in hiding, they might have put aside old grudges to form a resistance against the current regime and the Ministry of Purity
  21. I personally would rather have the e-specs light on lore if at all possible so it won't feel out of place when, for example, a norn firebrand is channeling power from Elonian history. I know it sounds ridiculous saying it out loud, but it just kinda bugs me a little. That said, I do have an idea for a hammer ranger e-spec whose lore is based around the Echovald Forests that could turn into tree monsters. I originally called them Wardens after the GW1 mobs of the same name (https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warden), but now I'm thinking they should be called Juggernauts instead and have the lore center around the Kurzicks (https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Kurzick_Juggernaut) (On the subject of norn firebrand, my personal headcanon is that they're channeling their own history instead)
  22. The next e-spec should be Condi/dps. Here's hat I'm thinking; It's called an Apothecary. They gain either a mace, torch, or a staff (I think either one could work). Their utility skills are called "Chemicals" that add conditions and other effects to weapon skills, similar to the thief's venom skills
  23. Sounds okay in theory, but I fear the confusion thing might make some folks queasy
  24. Staff Warrior is fine, although I'd call it a Monk IMO. Other than that, here's what I'd go with; Guardian -> Avenger (OH sword. DPS melee. Virtues become furies, can only focus on one fury at a time but can release an aoe burst once charged up similar to Tempest. Rage utility skills speed up fury charge time) Revenant -> Savant (MH scepter. DPS/condi. Legendary Golemancer Stance channels both Oola and Zinn at the same time and summons classic golem to fight with you. Command utility skills gives you more control over golem than most A.I. summons) Ranger -> Warden (Hammer. CC bruiser. Build up energy to turn into a tree monster like the Warden mobs of GW1. Deciding on either rage or punishments as utility skills) Engineer -> Apothecary (Staff. Condi. Replaces slot 3 weapon skill with mh/oh combo similar to theif. Gains Chemical utility skills that add boons/conditions to weapon skills similar to thief's venom skills) Theif -> Gangleader (MH mace or GS. Dps/support. Gains Minion utility skills that summon thugs that give allies different boons) Mesmer -> Psychomancer (Dual Daggers. Replaces illusions/clones with new condi called Hex. Idea came from this post last year and I support it) Elementalist -> Spellslinger (Dual pistols. Ranged dps. Replaces attunements with limited use Ammo. All weapon skills channel arcane energy when not attuned to any elements) Necromancer -> Seance (Either longbow or shortbow. Ranged condi/support. Gains Charm utility skills that grant boons/inflict conditions. A mix between ranger spirits and warrior banners)
  25. This might be a long shot, but if any devs are seeing this, I wanted to ask what we can expect in next month's Dragon Bash. First off, not counting the boss in the arena match, will we see the absent holo-mordrem mobs this year or no? Speaking of holograms, will hologram versions of Jormag and Primordus be in the sky this year or will it be Kralk yet again? And lastly, and this one's a little off topic, but if there was any chance of the ceremonial wolf and snow leopard armor to be available, would we see them during the bash? I'd understand if you are not able to answer at this time or if you are able to add them in game right now, I would just like to know if anything's different this year Any answer you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
