  5. are you high? I wish. It's been like 4 1/2 months since late february. But you're right that it's been a bit slow. Melee being obsolete sounds like some zerg stuff idc about tbh. I play melee and didnt back when scourge had old shades, not really a problem. Scourge does no dmg anyway. Do you mean power or condi herald dmg? I assume Power because you mentioned Jalis. Also Jalis didn't exactly get buffed, it got some very annoying bugs fixed, the mid-air stuff that is. Then it also got the f2 fixed to work with the trait, I guess, but that's fairly minor stuff. Lack of immob nerf for ranger is awful, correct. The buff to druid condi immob feels strange as well. Mostly I am happy about. Revenant mid-air fix. Renegade Shortbow getting another skill. Scourge getting it's shade back. Even if it still does 0 dmg. Chrono getting to have real shatters again. The small supportbrand nerf (not enough and in the wrong place but it's something) But overall I like the current state of the game even if it has it's issues (like ranger and supportbrand). So I am mostly happy the game isn't reverting to the awful state that it was pre-february. Meaning minor improvements is more than good enough for me. sorry for the exaggeration, 4.5 months not 6. You didn't play melee back when scourges had their personal shade because almost no one played melee then. This is how strong of an effect self based shades were, they nullified an entire game mechanic. Bringing them back reverts the wvw meta back to what it was pre-february, a pirate ship where you can't melee push until a group is almost wiped. Both condi and power herald use jalis, it's only oppressive on power. There's no reason a 900 unit long pulsing stability field should have a 1.5 power coefficient- that's the same amount of damage rev hammer 2 does. and idk what you're talking about with scourges, they still do great damage. I'm not even running a power setup or well of suffering still freaking OP. all i see is that you're one of top DPS, boonstrip, condi cleanse and surely barrier also. Scourge needs now healing for ally

ROFL, completely invalid and false argument.The first 6 years of playing GW2 WvW were perfectly lag-free, with only very rare exceptions of insanely big 3-way massacres around SMC (probably caused because game engine is not developed to take care of 200+ ppl in one small place). Now its laggy as hell even in 20 v 20 fights. Before: 70 v 70 - no lags at all for 6 yearsAfter: 20 v 20 - laggy as hell Oh sure, technical limitations .... blatantly lying argument. (Or maybe trolling depreciating attempt, doesnt matter anyway) //edit: noticed the kappa, but Im still not sure how you meant your post :D totally agree with you.My PoV is that condi spamming with Hot and PoF has been dramasticly increase. this increase imply more calculation from server's CPU than direct DPS => increase server lag. if you got both Condi/DPS/boon and healing spamming then everything will lag LUL the WvW structure code has not been design to handle that much spamming from boon, healing and condi/dps spamming. Not to forget the big Condi balance patch where they even increased the amount of condis you can vomit + the time how long they last. Extremely counterproductive who would have thought that.they totally broke their game and it still hasnt a real GvG system. (even Guild hall now arent very used ). Sad story for an MMO that has one of the best gameplay design (so smooth compared to many others mmo). It is unacceptable that they bury their heads in the sand and pretend that all is well.
  7. That sounds like a local problem. I'm doing metas in SW, HoT and personal story with a new character. I hang out in populated places as well as empty ones and usually in PvE unless there are massive numbers of players on a limited area in a map, I don't experience lag. Neither skill lag, nor network lag.In WvW the problem regularly occurs, usually when two big zergs are nearby; three way fights between big groups are basically always problematic. Sometimes (depending on zerg composition, tactical decisions and regarding actions) even 2-way fights are problematic. If you can't address the problem as it currently is .... why don't we at least to solve the problem by:lowering the number of players per map to two-thirds of currently allowed players per mapcloning desert and alpine map once more to compensate, thus offering: EB, 2x desert, 3x alpine, thus offering 1/3rd more maps than currently. With what you said, i think you're a casual WvW(im not insulting) or you started WvW very recently. Because splitting pple across maps by adding more maps will create only PvE and less pvp interaction.Moreover actually there is half of serves which are linked together and most of them during daytime there is not that many fights (not as before) so splitting pple and create more maps is one of the worst idea.As start pple comes in WvW for the core gameplay fight and fun with community not for caping tower and getting pips/loots.Your idea is just creating maps like the new one they add in PvE with LS. As i said i think the issue is that Server cannot handle that ammount of calculation request from spamming boon/heal/dmg (condi and direct) because before we got much more player in WvW and it doesnt lag that much as now. Fix bad gameplay design less spamming boon, heal and damage (condi/direct) will help a lot.

  9. If World restructuring is coming with the new exp as WvW Content, It'll be a shame from Anet. it means only restructuring as content and nothing more for 1 more decade.
  10. As you can clairly see, GW2 run mainly on 1 CPU core (Dx9). so to get easily more FPS, you have to Overclock your CPU (it's gonna raise its temperature)
  11. i think that gonna fix wvw population issues because regular pple are still leaving GW2 so only will remain few regular player and most of them will be ultracasual pple that come for wvw skins, loot and not for the wvw itself. if there is no ppl complaing about WvW issues, there is no WvW issues. I can not see how it's going to stop the bandwagon mentality and if anything make stacking servers worse... Which is currently one of the biggest issues and making the regular people leave... There was a discord where you could mention issues like this but if you raised them you were kicked.Since it's been so long since the update personally think the community has put alliances up on a pedestal and is going to be the golden fix, but will be disappointed when it's released.It will fix the issue because they use that do tell us that they're doing something on WvW but nothing happens, even the major issue is known. They dont consider other alternatives to revitalize the WvW. They still focus on Population issue but , it will always be there as we got national and eu server, moreover by nature pple will stack to have easy win. No direct support of GvGNo more server identityNo more WvW tourneyBad and Unfun meta. Too much boon , cc , condi and heal. So most of regular WvW players will get bored and may have left the game at the time something will happens in WvW . There is no issues , if there is no pple complaing about it.

  14. As nothing has changed in the past during the golden age of the WvW, it's not now, when the WvW is almost dead, that it will change. Play if you like it but for many vet from this past age, your feeling is that the gamemode has been turn to dust.
  15. Back in the day, Anet decided to focus on casual player since they cannot regular/hardcore gamer in WvW by putting OP stuff without even trying to communicate with HC/regular WvW community. Instead they wanted that casual player could enjoy WvW as WvW regular member did without joining the community (so no audio/no interest in build and how to play WvW as we did etc..). But with this tunnel vision on Casualplayer and reward stuff they missed that is this community (HC/regular player) who makes WvW alive by promoting video on YT making epic fight and having fun. As now the gamemode has been completly left aside only a small bunch of player of this community remain. I remember that i really started to play in WvW because of HC guild as RG but now i cant even play WvW anymore. balance patch is only a part of the major issue of WvW. Actually even with the best balance patch other things will remain completly broken (mount, watchtower banner etc..) and there is no reason to play WvW as servers are mixed every 2months without tournament. the only reason you can play WvW is to get legendary/shiny stuff (as PvE). Sorry for my bad english

The game is running on Dx9 so mainly ur framerate will depend on your CPU clock Animation isnt the issue of lag in WvW ( there is more people doing tequalt than people doing trifaction on SMC) the issue of WvW Lag comes from server bottleneck. The issue is that there is too many request in fight (condi/dmg/boon/healing/evade etc...) that the server cannot compute every action at the same time then comes the lag we see. The issue is that condi/boon and healing as been much more spammable and stackable than everbefore and WvW at start was not design to handle that much request. there is 3 option:1 Recode everything to reduce latency and lag.2 decrease number of people on each map3 rework/balance condi/boon/healing spam and stack. Srry for my poor english
  17. Lags is insanely high. In many years i've never see so much server lag. Condi need to be nerf, cleanse and healing too. First because it's completly OP since power has been balanced.Condi spamming by many people lag and lags dont allow us to counter (cleanses) because of lags. Condi should be pressure not burst as its played now.
  18. Actually the lag is from the condi spamming from blob. for each condi and each people damage must be calculated by an server (CPU RAM...) so when there is too many action to be calculated (condi spamming by blob) server lag due to lack of calculating power. SRY for my poor english btw
  19. I would love to have a meta which is more rewardful for people looking at team play and synchronization. (like before) Less spamming aoe and condi. More focus on bombing/impact to down peopleMain source of heal => Waterfield blast and repack. I know it wont before exactly as before because of content added from Hot, Pof and LS but having the same kind of philosophy would be nice I have many talks with old friend from this game and they would like to have this kind of gameplay to get back in WvW. More like that.
  20. Change from CC, power damage and healing is nice. But remain issues that need to be fixed: Condi become too powerful (literally everyone is playing it)Healing still a little too strong. If condi would be nerfed (it should) also healing need to be nerf however meta would go to monoball without interest. As an ex-raid leader and regular player, all i want is to bring back teamplay through combo field and fight without only one pushing and making circles.Combo field has a great potential to make teamplay and counterplay.
  21. I've stop playing GW2 for a while because of the current meta.All theses changes are on a good direction , to try to bring back teamplay and counterplay with skillfull gameplay and reward. Just stop whine about "why you nerfed this ..." Cal and System team is trying to fix the issue of the current meta in WvW and this is the first step.I was very scepticale about all previous changes but @Cal Cohen.2358 and your team makes me feeling you're on the way to do great change. You have my trust.
  22. I was pessimist when they add glider but it was fine overall but with mount , WvW lost his fun (fight with zerg , raid , roaming etc). We lost the epicness of fight (because mount give us 3 dodges more , allow us to move so fast and beeing immune to cc My opinion is to remove it or rework maps.
