  1. There are 2 things that come to mind about end-game enjoyment for personal and/or universally felt feelings. Of course coming over from GW1 into enhanced graphics and game play was memorable but so was specific farms and wvw game play. WvW - I miss the days when there were numerous "pugmanders" like Cloud Fly with 24/7 coverage. It was such a joy if I couldn't sleep at 3am there would be squads rolling around. To get an idea of this era of time was the terms: Melee train meta. Such as guardian hammer rings after teleporting and warrior axe spinning on those caught in the rings. The time era was when you had to blast Ele water fields for healing. Now its reduced into only NA prime time whereas the EU, Asian, and Australian majorities are a rarity in various servers now. Methodical Community Farms - Don't judge me for this but I enjoyed the public high pace but methodical farms such as the Queensdale champions, Frostgorge champions, Silverwastes, then Lake Doric leather farm. This one is for personal reason because I met people where we would share music, jive to it and just farm. I miss these kinds of moments for raising capital in end-game. BONUS: Old Lion's Arch before mega server and lounge passes . . . - There are various veteran players that would agree that we missed seeing familiar faces on the bank ledge and around the mystic forge. I gained a lot of friends in this era before LA was destroyed and now people only go to LA if they have to. I feel the artistic aesthetic of LA is gone into Sea World and no one talks much in lounge pass areas. It was enjoyable while it lasted and had fun social circles that spawned therein.
  2. I definitely agree that while power damage has decreased from this patch in regards to meta builds, condition spam can still deal the same damage. It was never the condition duration via expertise stat that killed us in pvp. It is mainly the stack intensity. If I get 5-15 stacks of poison or fire, I can still downstate within 2-5 seconds without cleanse. If I can clear the conditions, those skills that do cleanse are on cooldown while I get condition stacked again. Using a pvp amulet like Power-Vitality-Condition Dmg is still hefty to fight against because of the stack intensity. Viper stat amulet wasn't the solution in removal to lead towards a tone down for condi meta builds.
  3. Did OP forget that doing recommended fractals is all three 5 stack potions for free, per day? If you use them in T4/CM's onto the next day, the infinite potions are irrelevant. You would need to get practice into doing CM fracs for larger relic gains. CM groups complete the 8 fractals with the hour often times. There is a way to fit your needs in your time constraint. Are you willing to get to that level is the question? (58 days from Fractal God title experience)
  4. I only played warrior for 3 years until heart of thorns was rolling. Now I play all builds that guardian can do for 4 years. I dont like to build multiple characters. It's also nice that people in pvp, wvw and fractals recognize me from only seeing that name often. It's a nice perk to main one char.
  5. 2 things I’d like to pitch in here. 1)Game mode friends keep me engaged. Do not rely on content alone. I have friends that either they are asking me or I ask them to play for specific areas of the game. Example: PvP duo que buddies, fractal friends, mingle and raid together wvw crew, achievement hunting peeps, raiding regulars, guildies needing help, I make friends by helping people often or commanding things/trains, etc. The players you play with are half the hook and involvement. Voice chatting is also essential. This isn’t a single player game. Community involvement my friend. 2)the beauty of GW 1&2 is that it’s always there and waiting for you. No subscription has been the number one amazing feature of both GW games. Come back when it feels right. Don’t force it, get bothered by dailies or I must do xyz grind. There are days I’m just discord chatting friends and escorting wvw dolyaks. Other days, I’m doing in one day; all frac dailies+cm, raid, strike missions, node farm, crafting and leading metas. Don’t think that any part of the game is a set task. Roll into it no plans sometimes. It will be around waiting for you when your ready. Chats about expectations not being met isn’t good for anyone nor yourself. It is what it is, come back soon I hope, I’ll be around if you do. See you around sometime hopefully again friend. Ps, GW1 is still dope to play if you were actually into solo play.
  6. What I find to be is that when I bought some gems in bulk, let them sit for a while till next release, I get what I wanted within 10 keys. When exalted shoulders came out I bought keys that day and out of 50 no drop. It did leave statuettes to get them later if I wanted. Later on, still unhappy of those results I bought a large amount of gems and waited. Star born outfit came out: 10th key. Same pool of gems stashed, new backpack came out: 8th key. 2 out of 3 key sets like that so far. I am not saying it be like that, but it looks like that by coincidence. Not sure but just my added observations. I do NOT agree of placing featured items into the chests though.
  7. I would support a mobile GW game if it was Polymock. It would need to have a way to reward a linked GW1/GW2 account for playing it. Then it would sell like hotcakes.
  8. Having played fractals since they came out, I have observed that tier 2 and 3 was harder to deal with because of player performance compared to tier 4. Hear me out on why; Tier 4 people are mainly end game players. They have theoretically, by that time, played their characters well and most often build parties with; dps/boons/heals. When you have good personal performance from each player, a good team comp, and exp fractal runners it is a breeze. You will find it to become a lot easier now that you are meshing with decent/good players compared to prior tiers. It may sound like I was silently judging those that play tier 2 and 3. That answer is yes. Those tiers don't have a larger pool of players to play roles of a balanced comp. The difficulty of handling hard instabilities becomes a lot harder. Make sure when you get into tier 4, try to build a party of 3 dps, 2 support: (druid/chrono)(healbrand/alac-renegade). When you do like that, all tier 4's are a comfortable fun experience. I do not suggest running any tier 4 without at least a healer. Boons are your friend, the faster stuff dies, the less damage you receive that could have been lethal. Put all that in a pot and you will be cooking tier 4's on the daily.
  9. When the game launched, the person who started the group was the leader; they had the power to kick anyone/everyone. Here's a few of the things that happened:Leader would take on 4 PUGs. Get to the final boss. Kick all four, invite friends.Group would get to final boss, dislike something that one of the people did, kick them before the fight.Leader would DC; group would get kicked from instance (since the two mechanics are intertwined).Leader would be the toxic one, Leeroying this way and that, messing up mechanics, etc. The other four could do nothing.Leader would go AFK. And not return. The other four could do nothing: leader would get rewards, even if the rest four-personed the instance. People begged and screamed for something better. (And to be fair: calmer voices also offered suggestions.) Over time, the system evolved to the current mechanic: majority rules. Two people can't kick anyone in a full party; it takes three votes. tl;dr current system isn't perfect. It might not even be "good". It's just less worse than any of the alternatives. ^ This is the best answer to this topic, most times if I am in your situation, I just leave and recreate a more specific LFG message.
  10. This topic usually comes up once per quarter since 2012. There has been zero official response since so, while there is lots of people willing to spend cash for it, its a high chance no on that development front. If you are interested in things like that, Tera has many annual swimsuits. The celestial bikini outfit in GW2 is the closest thing we will get to it.
  11. Its a matter of how you do it. It requires people cooperating together to get though the ooze fire path. I found it super easy by using 2 rev players using bubble centaur tome skill on top and following the ooze while the other 3 range snipe the elemental wurms. That is the only real challenge of it. The rest is stack spots to pull foes from out of; line of sight pull spots. If people's dps isn't good you will struggle on the first boss in the courtyard, and not knowing to dodge after the cinematic kills people. Lastly you have to have a hologram die on the boss if stacks get up to high. Often times, regular players with open world builds cannot handle the intensity of that path. It was made to be a hefty challenge. Not knowing how to do it, and if there isn't dps/boons/heals, that path isn't for the faint at heart. I loved the effort that was put into that dungeon path. Enjoy what it is and was because they said it was a massive endeavor to make. They are not able to make those types of instances thereafter. Find someone who can guide you through or watch a video on it.

Majority of my gold has went into the following: Legendary items: PvP rank 100 Mistforged Glorious Hero Armor set, The Ascension, Ad Infinitum, Aurora, Vision, Sunrise, The Predator, The Moot Special skins: Foefire's Essence, Foefire's Power, The Anomaly, Touch of MadnessSpecial items: Mystic Forge Conduit, Tigris pre collection to get the tiger cub gizmo book, The Collosus pre collection to get the ooze tonic gizmoUpgrading [mist] guild hall, building decorations for various other guild hallsBought raid wing 5,6,7 boss kills to get Coalescence collection completion (will obtain final ring around Jan 2020), bought Xera kill to get the portal device. No I am not buying devinations/insights, I am raiding now that PvP items have been obtained. Minority of my gold went into the following: Buying or crafting foodFractal box keysGuild and superior siege blueprints for wvwHelping new players obtain inventory bags and basic gearFuture gold will go towards More guild decorationsWish list on future legendary items, such as, another ring?, amulet?, water breather?, Kraitkin and Kamohoali'i Kotaki.Very slow and careless progress towards legendary sigils and runes
  13. To respond to this, people that go after full versions of legendary items are after the skins as well. One does not go after wvw/pvp legendary armor and only to have crafted tier 2 of it. Let us not deny we do it for milestone recognition. Many I know that have raid legendary armor dont transmute over it. Its recognized immediately as achievement and legendary. As such, to pull an equivalent stature, for pvp/wvw sets, end up after tier 3 skins as well. No one sits on tier 3 armor precursors for long without forging them into legendary items. My point is for how it relates to the ring; most likely what's happening to non-raiders (pve'ers with Aurora and vision that are after legendary skins), getting into only wings 5,6,7 as a new raider is not directly welcomed as such. You end up in training groups for weeks or months doing wing 1-4 bosses. Sure I get it gets people to become raiders. I was not under the impression that people feel that wings 1-4 are prerequisites before being worthy of wing 5-7 groups. I can't find in the wiki, the official status ofwho is elidgeable to trade Li for LD's. I still have it because I dabbled with wing 5 before whatever thing occurred. I guess this is posting for the struggles that the community only wants moderate or better w1-4 veteran players to just gain a couple LD a week with later wing training runs. Many of us have to leave guilds and connect with 4 raid guilds just to increase the exposure of w5-7 bosses. Can't solely rely on only one like RA which is a great community but you got to diversify if you want to even come close to 10 LD a week (as an entry level but competent player). Sure, you can tell me, are person that would match how I'm describing can lfg their own squad. It appears and seems like if you are starting the lfg, sure you may get players in roles but doesnt seem easy to find squad leaders to take over for you if you cannot lead the raid yet. ------‐-----------------------------[Off topic response]In response to someone else that said I should have commanded if lack of them in wvw. SoR-IoJ regulars only followed people they knew and trust. Many tried to roll tag but would only get 5-10 even in peak times. Sure you can havok roam with that but then the same pugs who didnt want to ppt/fight with you, now crying to come help defend keep. What do we find at the keep? 30+ out of squad who didnt care you been trying to lead for hours throughout the week to make a name for yourself that STILL dont listen to you when you take command of valuable objective defense. Then how would you feel that you try 10-25 hours a week to pugmand to never gain any grounds as a worthy wvw tag to roll with. If you didn't show up as a guild group nor was a popular regular, no one cares about following. Mainly a couple bored regulars to keep their pips up and gift of battle farmers. 20-30 others roaming around smc to scrap around. Essentially, good luck commanding in wvw if no friends, no wvw guildmates nor having any reputation on that server.
  14. Not easy to understand and I’ve understood everything of GW since 2007. Hold the gear is nice but the monetizing via limitation hurts. I’m not the kind of player that uses gold to gems for these things, $$ cash I use for gem cards. Now I see getting character slot is better. I swapped my legendary items in a faster manner. I imagined it to be like GW1 templates but that was not delivered. Such a long development time and waiting only to experience this. A for effort, D for final product experience

  16. I was 100% in the same issue. I was at WvW rank 750 or so when I decided that wvw would be my path to legendary armor (tier 3 skin with tentacles and auras on it). I had to do wvw full time gameplay to rack maybe 150 to almost 250 ranks a month. This was ONLY possible at this steady rate when I was in TPA with cloudfly, following him as pug or as it eventually came I joined an active wvw guild fight alliance server. When SoR+IoJ was at its peak was when the most rank gains at a time. Everyone moved to different places. I dont even know where cloud fly is, or if TPA has fully withdrawn from pugmanding. Point is now its 50 to 100 ranks a month. My point you ask? PvP rank 100 armor I got within months then built out 6 heavy legendary armor pieces in 3 ranked seasons. I ended my wvw escapades as rank 1350. Getting to rank 2000 without groups, pugs or pugmanders you depend on makes it the harder skin to obtain. TBH the tier 3 pvp heavy chest piece looks a tad nicer anyways. People always ask about it because not many go after it.
  17. I hate to say exclusivity, but getting mini mr sparkles was a surprise reward for those of us that were buying gems (with $$ and not gold to gems). Unofficially, they stopped doing those surprise mailed rewards because people complained that non-gem buyers were denied access to, or not rewarded the same way as gem buyers were.

Squad vs squad gameplay involves peppering the other group with attacks. Aegis is very essential such that groups without support firebrands severly suffer or do not live long.PvP I may be ok if these changes occur. Firebrand support isnt required in matches unless you are babysitting midpoint. 5 dps teams seem to have a higher chance of winning anyways.Fractals,Dungeons,PvE it seems like in order to implement these proposed changes would end up into PvE real. As someone who has been playing Harrier heal support firebrand for halfway to fractal god, this massively stunts essential attacks to help the party mitigate. I only play firebrand and this would be a giant blow to what I play for 3 to 6 hours daily as. I've invested a couple thousands of hours and 4 years into guardian but fell in love with how I'm always needed for people. My firebrand is 4 out of 6 for pvp and wvw legendary armor because I have 100% gameplay utility for all game modes with this spec. What are your concerns with this set of changes?see above listed reasons, it directly shrinks my pride and joy class if the game. I have 8 chars but I'm not good at anything else. I feel I'm at a good status with my support firebrand gameplay What consequences do you expect would come from these changes? players like me that can only dedicate to one character will lose interest in playing the game. Core guardian and dragon hunter are not alternatives I can simply take up after firebrand gets pushed away via these proposed changes.
  19. I've posted before about itemized moments I've cherished. The real meat and potatoes is the social experience. Gw1 and Gw2 has been wonderful to me, such that, to virtually exist as a female. It has saved my life 3 times. It is straightforward as that. I am loyal and dedicated to GW that has given me a last hope to live, amazing new friends along the way and lots of laughter and voice chat for hermits or introverts like me. It was never about the direct experience of the game, but the experience it directly gave to my life. Thanks Anet for saving me. ♥️Thanks to all my close GW frens, they know who the are. ?
  20. It came down to being proud and fulfilled for achieving your personal goals, objectives and/or item acquisitions you always dearly wanted. It can also be wonderful exciting moments that are cherished. I have learned to stord those memories as additional mementos in parallel to achievements.   24. I understand its tricky to debug and find out how to fix. Not sure if the problem can be replicated due to it seems maybe 15 to 50 of us are affected by this. Could be more and no one added to the inquiry more.
