  1. This is exactly why you learn the mechanics and each time you get better at it. Those mechanics are "use a certain gear set that you didn't need until you reached this specific part" and "don't use that trait combo that was fine for everything else up to that point".No one's forcing you to use full glass gear. Even less so if you can't personally complete content with it on.
  2. Define play style because it sounds like you just want to do X while the boss requires you to X, Y, and Z.
  3. A scythe is a farm tool for harvesting grain and not a weapon at all.
  4. For WvW this is pretty much irrelevant. Even on a normal ranger/druid, killing the pet is only a factor in very specific builds that probably would have died to you regardless considering the time it takes to even kill two pets. And much like with other gimmicky builds like condi mirage/thief relying on people being idiots, builds relying on pets becomes worse and worse the more people you fight. Killing the pet stopped being relevant when HoT made the regen dodge tank Ranger build obsolete.
  5. -Sustain-Gimmick Damage Pick one please because you can't spec for both at the same time. I know the meme is that ranger's some kind of brick house nuclear bomb that's paradoxically totally useless in a zerg but please engage with reality.
  6. Instead of blaming the profession (not the more skilled player) that beat you in wvw, that you find so super easy to kill in spvp, I’d suggest humbling yourself and working on your build. You keep adding up excuses for losses and that’s a personal problem with you, not the other player.... We can play the “nerf this op” thing all day if you want... - lol and people complain about the slow as hell Worldly Impact and Maul.
  7. Sadly, I just don't see it really mattering all that much. No matter what we get, it won't hit as hard as Soulbeast and probably won't give us the team support/sustain of Druid. I just voted shield because I like the Link "guy with a sword and board in light armor" look.
  8. This isn't the place to complain about Spellbreakers
  9. The game doesn't need it nor am I convinced Anet has the money or talent to build a brand new, better engine to make a 3rd game justifiable. Pushing out a new game just to jam more generic "muh graphical fidelity" graphics down peoples' throats is a huge mistake. Ypu'd make more money with less cost putting out a Fortnite visual style game than one that requires it's massive user base to buy $1500 PCs to run at reasonable settings.
  10. Flavor text to get around the character limit.
  11. She's actually slowly becoming not totally unbearable. I say let her stick around. After another 2-3 chapters, she might finally evolve into a real character.
  12. @Egorum.9506 coding and creating content is not cheap or easy even with many people working on it. coding and creating games takes a very very long time and a lot of people doing their part, there will always be bugs at the start and CGI animation isn't that simple or easy either there are always glitches stretching the frames and stuff happening when making a 3d model move, so the fact we are not being charged extra for the gameplay you should be happy we get such an amazing game that isn't paid to play or subscription like WoW and many other games It's not free. You have to buy PoF to access it. Yes, this stuff isn't easy which is why we pay $30 for mount skins so they can, presumably, pay people who know what they are doing.
  13. It is literally impossible to fix this without imposing some sort of mechanic limitation like "y'all die if you get too close" or something. People will do whatever is most effective, and big groups win easier than small groups. They could spend the time and resources to code a system that has a dynamic player limit that's based on the total player pop of your enemies. IE, you can't have more than 10 people per map over the lowest server. If server A has 20 people on a map, servers B and C can't get in more than 30. Anyone joining over the limit is put in queue like normal. Make it adjust automatically as server A gets in more. Obviously kicking wouldn't happen. Just don't try and swap toons etc. It's not a perfect system but it would help counter full squads K training on servers that can barely scrape together 12 pugs following a no-coms commander. Its definetly not a perfect system as you set the bar on the lowest activity. The problem here become very simple and to make a common example - what if server A only has 5 people because its a Spanish server (1h+ later primetime than the rest) but server B has 80 people wanting to play and server C also have 80 players wanting to get in and they both want to fight each other with a vengance? You're gonna say no sorry only 10 is the max, 70 gets dumped into queue? That is a bad method of "balancing". It becomes very bad when you consider how WvW is played in practice. A zerg moving border would become impossible, as would moving a zerg there to respond to the enemy zerg. WvW would grind to a halt as people would get bored being stuck in the same place all the time. Zergs wouldnt start to form, gameplay would fall apart.I really don't care about EU problems. Expecting a match making system to work across half a dozen languages and timezones was a mistake from the start. NA tier 1 is already enough of a cluster fuck because of JQ's massive EU pop playing on an NA server.

  15. No where. Anet doesn't really care. This is just some Hail Mary to try and keep the server lag guilds around.
  16. So the fix is in. -Obliterate all current server communities (Press F for the guys who keep the BG TS running).-Doom all medium armor classes to unorganized pug world purgatory because no serious guild wants them.-Create a near impossible barrier to entry for new players as organized alliance guilds will require experience that can only be gotten in their worlds Are we witnessing the genesis of the greatest self own in Anet's history?
  17. ~3186g to ENSURE you get what you want. Totally the same thing. Hey, please quote the right person! I never said that, that was Deihnyx! o_o Whoops, sorry about that. Still stuck in the habit of trying to par down quote pyramids and messed up a ">" somewhere
  18. While the only reason for these is to milk people, iot must have been planned long before pof release It was. It's pretty obvious that they withheld mount skins till now so people would spend those special edition gems first. People cashed in so many unused gems that the conversion when down into the 80s at one point and is now back up to 130+. Worked out pretty well for them I'd say.
  19. Getting tricked into spending money on stuff you don't want is the antithesis of "fair".
  20. I don't want split hairs, even though t is extremely annoying that hyenas are canines. They effectively behave like canines and fill the same niche as wolves do on other continents so it's not really that big of a deal. Calling the Smokescale a "saurian" is much more rustling. Also the "Raptor" mount being an Allosaurus with a dragon head...
  21. And then people bitch because they can;t just fly over obstacles and their flying mount they spent so much time on is "useless". Anet's forcing themselves to pull a WoW "you have to relearn how to use flying mounts in all new content so as to not invalidate said content". Also, is anyone going to seriously care about future mounts that can't also fly? No one does in other games and they won't here either.
  22. Was the bristleback right next to the golem? If so, I have a feeling that's why it's at the top when it's ranged nature usually means it's spike burst aoe skill doesn't hit a target more than once.
