  1. I'm bringing a new character through the whole story. Up until now I've had no troubles. I recall reading about someone having a similar issue, so I know this isn't exactly new, but I couldn't find any specific threads about it. I'm on Plan of Attack from Season 2. I just finished the boss fight with Barradin and Rytlock jumps into the mists. Twice in a row I've come out of that stuck with the cut scene marker over my head and then crashed. I have no interest in going through this fight a third time, and if I do and crash again I'm probably not going to bother coming back for an extended period of time.
  2. There isn't a Bovine set. Some of them, didn't exist at release, ANet hasn't put a lot into expanding on Ranger pets, despite adding odd pets in both expansions. There isn't aw bug set, there is a spider set and a devourer set. I thought this would be more along the lines of, whey are Raptors, Skale, and Skelk not Ranger pets, since each of them have multiple different kinds, and they're all non-sentient animals
  3. Ettins definitely eat humans. Charr used to. Krait probably do. It's plausible that both Ogres and Grawl might. I am willing to bet that there is currently and underground human meat market for the Asura.
  4. It's unlikely that we'll see a checkpoint fix for this in the original story, though it's plausible. But they've definitely done that for the most current story steps. I dropped part way through the mission that puts you into the new zone and didn't have to start the whole thing over again, I didn't even lose a lot of progress. So it's at least something they're looking at going forward.
  5. how do you get around that? By not being big on a mount. They're not compatible, there is no way around it. The complication is the need to become normal sized to use mount
  6. I have a full sized Norn that I play with Embiggening. Unfortunately I can't be big and use mounts at the same time, which complicates it a bit.
  7. I have five Sylvari now. The three I can remember the full name of are Viridian Truebloom, Gailen Twighead, and Desiree Gloomblade. Truebloom has the blooming flower back of the head. Twighead has the branch head back. Gloomblade is a Reaper.
  8. I have at least two of everything. I think Mesmer is my least enjoyed, but then I really enjoy my Chronomancer and I don't have a Mirage, so I don't know now meaningful it is to say. I will always main a Ranger, so Ranger is probably my most loved.
  9. That's not the point. I do have guild mates, I can always find someone by LFG as well if I want to. I am saying that story mode should be soloable, because it is 100% part of the campaign's story, not something seperate like fractals or raids, thus should be treated as story missions (hence be soloable). Just chiming in...Honestly that is a weak argument you have here. Dungeon story mode is not part of the story because it doesn’t require to play the dungeons to lvl up and advance your story. It's part of the story because if you just go from "everyone hates each other" in that meeting in LA to "everyone is friends again somehow" in Victory or Death, it doesn't make any sense. Everything between those points plays out in the dungeon story modes. Then they should have made dungeons required to play through and scale its content based on how many players entered the instance. Because, at low lvl, when players have the choice to either play dungeons (with the potential risk of running into toxic players) or casually lvl-up in open world, I think most would choose the path of least resistance (and when you would peruse the LFG back at dungeons hayday, I would also point out that most group requests were LvL 80 only). As for the story aspect, I don't necessarily agree with you. It feels much more like side story to me because the story leads you to kill zhaitan and whatever happens in the dungeons is totally irrevelant to it.The story of killing Zhaitan, though, is the story of Destiny's Edge. It is the culmination of two stories, their story are told through the dungeons and yours in the personal story. Since they're both being told, they should have been experienced, but they won't have been. So they should be made into story missions. They should be fit in as part of the personal story, where they belong, so that when you get to the end it all makes sense.
  10. I am talking about story mode only. And no, I do not find 2 hours acceptable for a "solo challenge". I want the story modes to be soloable just like the story missions, not some advanced hard mode challenge. 2-3 people still does not equal 1.But the story mode dungeons are soloable so I fail to see the point. Its not easy - you're gonna want a raid build if you are good or a cheese build (like say a minion master healer scourge or soulbeast exploiting the immortal pet, etc) and its probably gonna kill you a couple times (or ten) but its not that complicated. Some of the explorable paths are soloable as well.Having a handful of builds with specifically good gear able to solo a thing is not the same thing as it being soloable. Being Soloable means that anyone in any gear in any build has a chance to beat it. The personal story is soloable. The Story Dungeon for Arah is soloable. I would very much like to see the story modes for the dungeons get the same treatment as Arah. I would also like to see them added into the personal story as required episodes. I've made this argument before. The only times you have to see Destiny's Edge during the story is at level 30 when they come together to complain, when you learn about them and their issues in the dream with trahern and at the end. If the story dungeons were part of the personal story then we would be exposed to their in fighting and eventual reconciliation making the scene where they come together in Arah make more sense and be a better story. And honestly it is a good story, but it's a pain to actually try to experience because you need a group and they might not be willing to wait for the story to happen.
  11. I want a full set of race themed mounts for all the races. Fern Hound based Sylvari mounts, Golem based Asura Mounts, Spirit based Norn mounts, Steam Engine based Charr mounts, and Watchwork based Human mounts.
  12. Just think how much faster it would have been if he hadn't even tried, I suppose
  13. Outdamaging his heal is a viable option (or at least was originally) It's also a silly option when it's so very much simpler to just break his bar and not let him heal at all.
  14. Asura are always the most aesthetically pleasing, cause they're tiny with big heads, like children. But when you put armor on them, they turn from cute to awesome.
  15. Sorry, but Air attunement 5 is all you need. It's an instant pushback which would stop him cold before he could use the power, and that is literally all you need to do, stop him from using the power. The condescension is coming from these claims that it's somehow impossible even though you have more than enough within your power to accomplish it. If you still can't, unless you live in a state of unreasonable lag, it's fully on you and only you. Also, if you don't know how to swap your weapon by the time you're doing PoF story, you're doing something very wrong.
  16. As long as it comes back each year I'm happy, but I want them to release the other worlds. If they were willing to monetize if permanently I would pay. Or I may have already paid since I have the ICC
  17. I'm waiting for the Wreath of Cooperation to return for my Norn Spellbreaker
  18. There are only a handful of bad Jumping Puzzles and LA is not even grazing the top of that list. As was mentioned, it's called a Puzzle. First off, if you're dying at the beginning, you're doing it wrong. There are a series of platforms down the shoot that can be used to "jump" down and there is plenty of wiggle room to catch them. The entire point of the maze is to clue you in with the different colors while the ghost tries to trick you into wandering around aimlessly. It is a puzzle, and if you can't figure it out, well there are guides that could help. There are very few instances in any JP that actually requires pin point anything. If you're especially bad you might be able to improve, if you can't improve, well sorry, but maybe not every piece of content is for everyone.
  19. I'm not sure this is the right place, but I don't want to open a new thread and I don't see anotherI would like to see a return of the Wreath of Cooperation.
  20. Tell me which black works? Ok, so after experimenting a bit, yeah. Shadow Abyss is the blackest black and on every mount there is a red tinge that is still visible. I'd never tried to make a pure black mount. Every other color is doable, but black less so.
  21. We seem to be playing very different games. I haven't had any issues soloing anything except specifically defined group content
  22. He sucks you in too you cant just keep walking backwards if you not doing enough damage it will just be a stalemate forever. That was before any nerfs. That means you're not breaking his break bar. Obviously if you're not breaking his break bar you're not going to get anywhere, but it also means you're entirely failing this fight since his break bar is insanely easy to break. Yah like I said I did it once before any nerfs. Without changing my equipment or redoing story but by bugging him on my ultra survival ranger. If I didnt bug him I would have been in a stalemate with him forever as I wasnt doing enough dps. I only came into this thread in response to the guy that was baiting earlier. Ultra survival ranger. That sounds like my build. Cleric gear and signets with longbow. And I beat him by walking backwards and auto-attacking. So... Ok you go with that story but mine is authentic. Facts, guy. This was a cake walk before they nerfed it. Just break his break bar and he can't use his special attack. He doesn't pull you in, he doesn't heal up, he just follows you dumbly unable to do anything. I had to do this stupid thing twice because the first time it crashed while I was talking to Joko after the fight. It worked both times, it was pathetically easy, and this was in the first week on PoF. If you had issues, and you're not looking at serious lag problems, then the only possible issue is severely lacking skill. It isn't even git gud, it's get mediocre and you can beat this boss every time. Ok you just trolling me. Careful who you troll in the afterlife can be brutal for you.Not if the soul eater is the biggest fish, cause he's an easy kill, just takes forever cause I don't do enough damage.
