  1. My bad, I saw the "gw2 collection" and had a massive failure of reading, where I thought I read "complete collection". I stand corrected.
  2. I had a look at the gw2 complete collection on guildwars2.com, and I can't find any mention there of it including living world seasons. Can you show where you got your information from?
  3. There's an option called "Content Guide" (Options panel, first page). If you set that to "Hide event and personal story" it shows you the nearest "thing" that will advance map completion - heart, poi, vista, hero point, or fogged area. I use that when I find myself lacking something like a poi.
  4. 15 minutes per map would mean 4 maps per hour, or just over 6 hours to map complete, or just about 1/6 of the time compared to with hearts. That would be a serious devaluation of map completion. I of course agree that speedruns are sort of meaningless since they are done by some very dedicated people who highly optimize. However, it shows that it's indeed possible to get below 10 hours - and without using hero points from WvW or other helpers. Even 35 hours to complete to entire core game's maps is a very fast. 1000g (2 gifts of exploration at 500g each) for 35 hours comes to about 29g per hour - close top income. At 6 hours it would be 166g/hour.
  5. There's a youtube video of a world completion done in 8 hours 59 minutes. I don't think it needs to be faster than it already is.
  6. Just for reference, this information was added to the wiki page for contacts, Contacts and LFG panel - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W), on August 2nd, 2022.
  7. It would be kind of cool if Anet add these "can-only-get-once-and-never-again" infusions to the legendary wardrobe, then we'd be able to have one for each toon on the account. (The ones that drop rarely from bosses and such should of course not be in there since it would devalue them too much...)
  8. In my experience this happens when there's a lot of really small files to download, and it seemed to be the case today. Probably lots of metadata to process for each file.
  9. Gear is quite insignificant compared to ability to execute. A bad player with perfect gear and build will still perform a lot worse than a good player in subpar equipment and build. If gear inspect was a real issue, don't you think commanders would demand people ping their build and gear when people join? And yet all that's (usually) asked for is kill proofs (which demonstrates experience).
  10. Not needed, but would be a nice feature for some I suppose. Not needed, but would be a nice feature for some I suppose.. While this might be a nice feature if it could be implemented it's absolutely not a burning issue; for squads the commander has this ability already and for groups (so mainly for fractals) it's a very rare issue to happen - people are usually very civil about it and leave on their own. I would be against this; it could lead to harder enforcement of meta builds at the expense of other existing builds that are pretty much as good as the meta. If player performance is an issue, gear and build are less important than actual performance (being able to use skills correctly, correct placement, correctly timed evades, et cetera).
  11. The problem is: how would you set up the roles in the auto grouper? Since there's no fixed roles there's no way to queue simply by clicking checkboxes. And the required roles change depending on who joins (alac/quick/ham/hfb - kind of)
  12. Basic ruleset for auto-grouping for vanilla strikes: Rule #1: 2 healers, either healalac or quickheal Rule #2: If we get healalac we need same number of quickdps, if we get quickheal we need same number of alacdps Rule #3: 6 pure dps - possibly add rule for how many power and how many condi Already with vanilla strikes we see that it's not an easy queueing, for strike CMs and for raids there comes additional roles that need to be in place, which would make it even more taxing to setup the auto-grouping. Also since it's not Anet that defines the roles, but the player community, it's not unreasonable to assume that the ruleset will change in the future, completely outside Anet's control so it's not like Anet could code the roles into the tool, they'd probably have to be aggred upon somehow by the player community and implemented in the ruleset by some uknown magic.
  13. As for point #2, as soon as a level gets completed, there's a parachute that takes you to the start of the next level, so you can wait for the level to ocmplete and then catch up instantly. Not perfect but it's something at least.
  14. Oh, I just saw the "tower of nightmare" part in the op and assumed it was about the tower 😮 If it's about the first instance then I'm at a loss for words...
  15. Except, of course, this doesn't work since you have to complete all events in one area to continue to the next.
  16. I've gone in to the tower (public) a few times in the last 2 weeks, and not once have I found an empty instance. And as soon as I located some more players I put up a tag and told people it's there to keep us together. I always ended with about 20 people completing the tower. So in my experience it's not dead content but still at least somewhat alive. Not sure how long it'll stay that way though.
  17. I pug fractals (t4+recs) daily and the only time I see 100 skipped is when people did the CM and now want to do the rest of the t4's. As for the difficulty, the only problem I see regularly in Sunqua is people getting 10 stacks of burden and then proceed to down the entire team. For cc I always look to see if the team seems to cc on the edge (which is a bit faster since you get longer dps phase and a bit harder since you have to know about the blast in the center) or wait for center. It's easy to adapt to the playstyle of the group.
  18. We clearly need to remove all killing from the game. In the process let's get rid of all the weapons and all the offensive magics and only ever have magic that gives us boons. Come to think of it, we should get rid of armor as well, and also all stats except healing power, vitality, and concentration. That way, no one will be killing precious beings.
  19. It would obviously have to have a very low drop rate, kind of like in fractal chests.
  20. Ascended tools and kits only drop from daily fractal chests, not from mobs. I guess a fair way would be for ascended tools and kits to have a low chance to drop from daily chests throughout the game modes as well.
  21. It's not that hard, really; assign 2 sturdy players to the pads, have the alac hack the control and a dps defend, then the heal can help the ones on the pad survive the flux.
  22. When Arah is daily I often join pug groups and invariably there's newbies who have never been to Arah before, and I have still not failed them. So no, Arah isn't too hard but it takes a bit of experience and/or someone willing to explain to newbies.
  23. If it was/is server side, I'd expect a lot of people complaining about it "everywhere", but quite frankly I haven't seen any of it, for myself or anyone that I have encountered. That gives me reason to believe it's something on the way from AWS data center to your computer(s). I could be wrong of course.
  24. In order to use Arenanet's services (game and forum) you have to agree to their terms and conditions. These include specifically that there's a number of things that are not allowable, such as verbal abuse, hate speech, et cetera. If you fail to adhere to these you can and should be silenced. This is NOT a public space where anything goes. Also "freedom of speech" in most countries means that the government is not allowed to limit your right to express your opinions in the public space. Since Arenanet's game and forum are not public space and Arenanet aren't the government, they can make their own rules for what you're allowed to say and do. People often use the analogy that if you were to come in to their homes and be abusive they would have the right to eject you from there, and this is imo a very accurate analogy.
  25. When I see map chat I don't find acceptable, I simply use the "Verbal Abuse" category to report them, and then let Anet investigate. Since the report gets timestamped it's easy for Anet to locate the chat log and check. Anet have also said very clearly that they won't share any outcome of your report since, quite frankly, we don't have any business knowing who gets banned or not. It's entirely between Anet and the reported account.
