There is an artwork on EOD page with a high tech Jade gauntlet engineer with goggles. Somehow, I feel like Jade is tied to the dragon. And what better to remind a dragon than a dragon eye? Think of pristine eye item, giant eye trophy, even eye of ender from minecraft if you want. To me it is alchemist using jade. Whereas the icon before is bulky, and kinda look like Prototype X golem in first asura instance, I don't think it is a golem. The shape, a round hand, fists and triangular body remind me olympics symbols so it is a person. With very big armor, paladin? The only other duo i am bothered with is the face and the bullet. Necro has gun, so normally it is the bullet one. But why a face that look like a vampire then as another icon? I said gladiator, but can be mercenary, or street fighter. What i get is that aetherblade are doing kinda like frost legion, they use dragon related liquid to power weapons, have power, rule over everyone. Instead of frost legion where it is jormag manipulating them, here, i think the dragon is captured and in stasis while peoples harvest its magic to power everything around cantha. I really hope the underground aetherblade jade harvesting complex will be a big storyline and not just one story step. There is a new symbol i saw during a artwork that was shown before that the stream start, while waiting for 15 minutes. It was behind a red energy force field and looked like full metal alchemist alchemist symbol or the chaos star of warhammer. At 6:25 precisely. It is a dead end showing asura hologram communicator, asura crates and red forcefield with the symbol. Remind me aetherblade retreat. The woman is mai trin i guess. I would just like to know how Auris weirdbringer got his aetherblade uniform. I think it can be cool tying that character with mai trin, it can explain that beyond rift stabilizers, auris may have created a portative mist gate/ mist cannon to allow mai trin leaving edge of the mist to arrive in cantha. Boom auris weirdbringer story finished, he was experimenting on mist, rift and time travel.

I would invert guardian with engineer. The last icon is a flask to me for alchemist. Alchemy is an engineer traitline. And the canthan jade scientist arr make me think this is elite spec.

I think waypoints are more recents than asuran gates. I see waypoints as a way to make a secure transportation between two points. Whereas ton of undesired creatures can pass through asura gates, (see ulta metamagical events) for waypoints, someone checks you pay a fee , so money, i doubt dragon minions can give coins. And secondly, to be confirmed, but i think tve waypoints do a DNA scan. And only transport like dolyaks or sentient beeing: skritts, exalted, 5 main races can use them. I think kodan and grawl could use them too. But if we start about evolution of transport means, as show portalforge lab of sandswept, it is possible to have a cannon that generate two portals and create a link between them. I bet it is now possible to have antennas devices and use them as anchors to be teleported to them.

You don't. And I can understand the admins of that discord. It isn't how disputable the idea is that matters, but how much support and interest it has. You just need a total of active posters: This discord had around 240 members, if it had 120+ the idea was approved. Frankly anything can be very cool if nicely written. Even the most absurd thing you can think about can looks awesome with some goods paragraphs and words.

I used to know a discord server on which everyone could vote on others suggestions about the game, what to develop and so on. The discord had custom emojis, including an annoying person with a broom, a brain dead icon, representing a RMI profile without brain or a text one written "give us a sign", facepalming child and so on. Players weren't using regular ones, and rapidly adopted those ones, to promote their own idea and spit on other, some, being a leader of a community and using them to upvote its suggestions. Rapidly, the brainless one became "you are dumb", give us a sign "you don't matter in this world" and the broom dude "go out of there". And some other with more life threatening meaning to put simply. The week after. The custom emotes couldn't be used in suggestions channel anymore. Only two emotes remained: Star. To approve or give a like to the idea. And recycle bin to tell it has been already posted. But what was expected happened. The users decided that recycle bin is for dislike. And so the bin has been removed. Only star remains. People liking it give a star, the one hating or wanting to ignore gives nothing. The system never worked better than at that moment. I would like the gw2 gorum to only have one emote. Star. You give ut or not, final point. It forces you to debate what you liked or what prevented you to give the star. It was radical on that discord, no users hiding behind a negative emotes anymore, it became constructive.

If we start speaking of equity and caring, then, Charrs scratches symbols or Asuran script or even norn language (no written language whereas it exists, see wiki) would had a biggest Impact on the playing experience. I'm tired of let's only focus on humans. I'm sick of seeing only armors and skins fitting preferably humans or a story that revolve around humans. Will agree on the fact they created several drawn or written languages for tyria races: jotun, grawl, dwarf, mursaat, exalted.... but nunoch and itzel it is a mastery we don't really see how they speak, but I suppose, frogs. *grebett *grebett (Don't count how many humans ones we have... ascalonian, elonian, ancient elonian, old canthan, old kurzick, old krytan....) Whereas asuran script don't even have asuran numbers nor proper ponctuation. For charrs it's poor too, only few iddograms whereas we went to grothmar valley and drizzlewood. We don't know all of them. It is all or nothing for equity. There are a lot of developpements and little of things for EOD because they know how vital this expansion is, and I can only encourage them doing so. It is a nice and interesting blog post. And I hope there will be a diversity of signs. And texts. Because asuran script... it's the same text copy pasted on all consoles and displays... If the tyria world is important thing, they would have added signs and papers, even book or displays around core tyria to decipher. There are none in 8 years. Apart... new krytan! Human. There are little things, like the very cool ambiant dialogues, nice events, little hidden spots. But texts to translate isn't a thing. And it's a path I encourage devs to follow, and even for non humans.
