  1. And as expected, we lost a lot of good boons to get useless 2 seconds of resistance... Ty anet, why don't you just delete the utility already? :'(

It is Just a guess, but based on how "powerful" anet believes resistance is i would not expect more than 4 seconds (being a lot generous here), and still we are losing two high duration boons (one offensive and one defensive) to get just one defensive boon with very low duration in general.

My main concern with the patch notes is just what is gonna happen with Reactive Lenses trait, i mean it was not the most powerful trait (i personally rarely take tools spec for anything) but some builds relied on its fury and now we are losing 10+ seconds of fury and blind immunity to get 1 ~ 2 seconds of resistance, it does not lose sinergy as resistance is a nice boon to have with a stun break but i believe stability would be better at least as we are trading a "potentially ofensive trait" for an even more defensive one.
  4. Same here, already completed Luminary achievment but suddenly all 4 lighting puzzles were reset (and they really aren't repeatable), curiously the Luminary achievment stays complete.

Just no, first i can't see this as abuse because you have to time very well when you throw or it will be useless, second i believe people only take elixir R for this "possible" self revive cus the elixir R itself is good but far weaker compared to other elixirs.As said by hannelore there is no point on changing the Scrapper exclusive mechanic to function the same way an elixir does for all specs, in my sincere opinion they should get rid of this "revive or finish" mechanic that was forced into function gyro and put something else (there are so many possibilities, why not a buff that "overcharges" gyros increasing their effects or applying extra effects?) cus i rarely use function gyro to finish/ress someone, it is mostly for the lightning field or stability.

A points system may work but seems too minucious and potentially boring/exploitable, lets not give too much stuff for toxic elitism xD.Players are already used to the numbers we have on items, like an asceded helmet giving (63/45/45) or (54/54/30/30), so i'd rather stick to these numbers but let the players choose freely what attribute goes on each one to create the best combinations for its build.Probably would affect mostly WvW, but even PvE builds could be improved. Since sPvP has its own stats system with amulets i would leave it as it is. Sadly i doubt anet ever thought about making this possible. :'(
  7. Honestly they should rework gear system and let us choose attributes for items that right now are "selectable". Something still holding to the 3 or 4 or all (to include celestial) stats system but where you are free to choose what will be your major and minor stats. Of course you would use something simillar to the ascended stat swap to reset a piece and create a new attributes set while legendary gear would be able to swap anytime and as much as you want.

Both are really good, both can play damage and support roles and both are medium armor so you can just pick one at random, play it as you will and if you feel a need to try the other class you can just send your ascended gear from one character to the other.If you are aiming mainly for PVE i would rather recommend Ranger as both his DPS and SUP roles are in the meta (and ranger dps has easier damage rotations). Since the recent nerfs, engineers are underperforming in terms of meta as holosmith got a massive nerf to its damage and scrapper is a good support but can't stand against a Druid (ranger).But if you want for PvP, i HIGHLY recommend engineer cus even with the upcoming nerfs from balance patches, holosmiths and scrappers are in a very comfortable place with a lot of versatility and power.
  9. Not all of them probably, i just checked on firebrand tome skills and skill 1 is always a cone "shooted straight across the ground" no matter where you looking at. Anet could just do the same for other cone skills.
  10. Same for Flame Jet (Flamethrower) please. So frustrating to be face to face with the mobs but your flamethrower is only hitting one of them cus you are aiming the ground :'(
  11. Though it is a class i've not played yet i would probably take Thief. Wanna something? just take it with your invisibility no one will ever know. Wanna get rid of someone? Our deadeye friends are masters of one hit/one shot. Wanna run from that awkward situation? Invisible we go! :p
  12. I really need this!! Even after dropping lots of recipe books while doing HoT metas i probably don't have learned all recipes cuz it is so boring to search for one not already known that i rather just throw them away.

  14. As long as the money (gold) stays inside the game i can't see why it would be illegal. You're free to do wathever you want with your gold inside the game as long as it is not related to some kind of exchange or commerce outside of the game. B)
  15. What I want to see before anything is still the actually stated rate of fire on its autoattack. Not 0.8s as it is now but the 0.5s its supposed to be. Its supposed to be shooting 60% faster. Massive difference. sword/shield for holo and pistol/shield for core engi condi are builds i quite often find someone playing in wvw roaming. Having a 3sec projectile reflect + 2sec block with both being hard CC is enough for me to say shield is a great weapon and definitely would not like any changes to it . Agree that rifle is slow, but it stayed in meta for quite a while so that's why i said it "is not that bad" but i personally never use it too.About pistols, i believe every class with too fast skills suffer from animation delay, ranger axe 1 was supposed to be cast every 0.25s but if you check on wiki it is 0.88 secs per cast so this is a problem anet have to fix in probably all classes.
  16. It is usually 2 weeks before release so i expect an announcement anytime today/tomorrow. Yeah, would not get too excited for anything more than a normal living world episode release since we just got a balance patch and a QoL patch.

Pistols surely need a rework, but that has been asked here again and again and still nothing, rifle is not that bad and shield is honestly my favourite engineer weapon so i would not change anything on it. Engineer got less weapons than any class because of the kits but lets be honest, these kits are getting quite deprecated and should be reworkd too, only kit i find useful right now (WvW) is mortar kit and i don't spend much time on it tho.
  18. Talking about holographic weapons, since we have a set of skins based on the spirit weapons of the guardian, why not get a set of skins based on the holographic weapons of the holosmith? If i recall skills 1 and 2 use a sword, 3 uses a staff, 4 2 pistols and 5 a hammer.
  19. Sounds cool, but with no rewards would flop really fast and with rewards would be farmed to the bones... the same old player-created content paradox. Still a good idea, thumbs up. :#
  20. Like i've said in similar topics, i would rather prefer anet reworking on abandoned class weapons (e.g engineers pistol) than giving us other one that pretty much will be OP or useless too.
  21. Well if you check that wintersday link, every year they brought a new thing. Some not that incredible (food donation - 2017) but other really feeling like new content (secret snowman lair - last year), so there is a chance they will bring something new this year too. Also we got Mad Raceway as a nice new content on this year's halloween. :#

Well, haters gonna hate but we can't deny the success metal legion made in the forums when the episode launched (and usually the minority that "play forum" complains more than compliment anything). I would love to see a new event in Divinity's Reach during wintersday with the band, better if it gives lots of wintersday gifts in the end :#
  24. Just a matter of consistency, you should give us 3 build and 3 equipment templates. More than often a player needs an entire new equipment set for a new build, so it does not makes sense giving more builds than equipments.The prices are fine and the build template chat link is cool, i would like to have a way to link equipment templates too.
