  1. It's pretty clear that the thief will get the ritualist spec. This way we can summon some spirits to +1 for when no living allies are around.

  3. Yeah a simple katana styled skin for a sword will work nicely. This whole great sword ninja is a lol idea. I think too much watch bleach or some shit.

  5. What if they kept both pets but could only choose one to merge with, regardless if they swapped? I mean then they would be able to choose sustain or damage, but still keep both pets when not merged.
  6. I've seen desync issues with anyone who teleports (guards too). Sometimes they just disapear, you get wombode and then they appear with a flash of animations.

  8. I think it would be cool if something else other than swipe was given. Like f1 activates "daredevil mode" and your weapon bar is replaced with a bunch of stuff that allows you to stay in the fight...temporarily. I mean we lost 600 units, whats another 600 lol
  9. There is hope that maybe some complaints will be addressed tomorrow. I do find it disheartening that despite the massive amounts of feedback that we weren't even at least acknowledged that we have been heard. Most of the posts after the patch have been very constructive and have given a ton of good ideas. That is actually more depressing. Nothing wrong with being positive so dont get me wrong but I doubt anything will be addressed and it's more likely nothing will be changed with thief and if so probably be in the form of more nerfs presented as buffs. So many classes do what it can do better or pretty close to the same mobility while being a better overall fit for their team.This is my perspective also, and I have pointed out those with comparable mobility and better kits, but there is too much denial in the community. I doubt anything will change. I play the game for thief and competitive game modes, but I notice neither of those sections have received developer interaction outside of a bug acknowledgement.

  12. Um. . . DJ has a half second tell on its own. Did you not notice the big orange laser with sound effect that precedes the actual shot? Beyond that, to hit for 25k, you ate at least a couple of shots before DJ was even fired so the DE had at least a little malice buildup. Seriously man, learn to watch your screen, turn OFF your music, turn UP your sound, and learn to pay attention. If you didn't have a dodge at that point. . .well, sorry man, you just got outplayed. Binding Shadows -> Deadeye's Mark for quickness -> Death's Judgment. Good luck outplaying that How does that make a 25k hit just from that combo?

Its a thing because you let the thief build up 7 stacks of malice, while being doused with 25 stacks of vuln, and they maxed out lead attacks (again cause you let them hit you), and they popped assassin sig. This had to happen in "under half a second" , otherwise you wouldn't have been caught off guard..... Lol

  18. why would anyone who actually wants a skill based game play this mess? i came back for a few days after almost 2 years gone, didn’t last. pvp is powercreeped skillless spam right now, i literally killed people with just arc divider. this game is a joke, & anyone with even half a brain will realise this & quit. thats why population is low & players suck, it’s a reflection of the quality of the pvp experience. I agree completely here, but god kitten... The combat system in GW2 is a million miles better than anything else out there. Nothing. Comes. Close. Thats still ALL something different than the smooth gameplay, the stones breaking los is annoying but not the norm, i can life with normalhits going through walls, no problem With that. WHAT about clunky kitten gameplay do you not understand? NONE of the other games felt as smooth as gw2, name me ONE single Game as smooth as gw2. You cant. Ive put like 50 hours into black desert, that has to be enough to evaluate if its smooth or not, and it felt kitten slow and clunky to me. So again, please give me one game with smooth and fluent combat like gw2, no standind around while casting, no bs dodgerolls, where i just stad around for 1/2 second after the roll waiting for the end of the rollThe reasons I listed are part of my gameplay. Therefore in my eyes, the smoothness is a bit wrinkled. I overlooked them, just like I overlook shortfalls in other games. But, nah...GDUB2 ain't the best, it's just one among the many.
  19. I have spent a lot of Money on this game and still they ban me everytime I try to voice my disappointment. Pretty sure they don't remove your threads just for "voicing your disappointment". And I'm not sure how money spent by you is in any way relevant here :Dmmm nah, they can be pretty petty. They have put marks for essentially nothing. For example one time, I deleted one of my own comments that didnt quite add to the convo but didnt break the forum rules and replaced it with "deleted comment", and they jailed me (3 points). Also the money point is relevant because they are claiming the forum mods are silencing paying customers who have complaints. This, if true, will most certainly drive away some players. Not everyone is happy with the state of the game, but are there enough who are dissatisfied for it to matter?

  22. That sounds pretty much all around broken, doesn't it? Stealth at will with no restrictions or cooldowns is just plain stupid, particularly as the only defense a class has. And if the only way to survive against it is to "LoS, invuln, or run away", does that not also indicate a broken design? Apologies for my poor wording. My point was that DE has many flaws to play around even besides "LoS, invuln or run away" and if anyone still dies to a rifle DE even after all the nerfs, I would suggest to that player to create a DE himself and try to climb with it. Then that player would see all the flaws I meant and then be able to abuse DE into uselessness.But I think that will never happen. It's way easier to make a complain thread than to improve. You're forgetting. It doesnt matter how effective it is or not. That's not how the Spvp subsection works. If the past year is any indication of the status quo here, it's all about how FUN something is to play against. Yes DE can have many holes and classes that hard counter it. But if it isnt fun to play against it needs to be nerfed to the ground. Fun is subjective, but I doubt you'll find many non-deadeyes who think the way this class is setup is perfectly fine. The way GW2 handles stealth in general is pretty questionable, but on deadeye it's beyond broken. And I realize that this is how the class is designed to survive and that simply taking their stealth away would make them useless. But in my opinion, it's straight up broken and should be replaced. Hit-and-run stealth with no cooldown restrictions should simply not be a thing for any class ever. Stealth gyro/mass invis. I'm fine with that kind of stealth. It's pretty lacking in counters, but that's just how GW2 handles stealth. It's the endless cycle of popping off a massive damage strike out of stealth, re-stealthing, and doing it again. Over and over. That has to go. Just my opinion.Well, what would it be replaced with that can make DE sustain possible? Currently without that type of stealth, DE is dead meat on contact.
  23. It was 4 skirmisher shots and then DJ. So it was more than "1 second" even with quickness. It doesn't seem like you got hit with a stolen skill so he had to either: dodgeroll for stealth or cast a utility to regain stealth for DJ. This means it was about 2.5 - 3 seconds minimum after everything was added up. Before shots fired, there was a few "millisecs" where you heard yourself being marked. If you didn't hear it, turn your sound up and your music off. All of the suggestions everyone made are not just "L2P", or protecting their main. They are literally letting you know that you need to: Move behind somethingdodgemove away or out of range, The DE will have to waste a lot of resources to reposition to make the kill. If he is greedy and comes to the point for capture, then your DD should have been able to take him out. You don't just get to stand on the point freely against any class. For example, if I came to a point as a thief or daredevil that literally had anyone standing on it, the best thing for me to do is rotate to another point. If I die or waste lots of time in a 1 v 1, then currently by design and the chorus of the community, that failure is on me. But, if someone can show a video, even against an indestructible golem, with 4 skirmisher shots, and a dJ all from stealth in less than 1-seond, I will retract my statements. I won't be holding my breath.
  24. Is the population the same size? Is it growing, shrinking, rotating, or staying the same? If we have vets who have put in 3k-10k games, and they are not the quality one is looking for...yikes. (doing the same thing over and over, no changes...what does that define?) What if the only thing left in pvp are some very new players, pve playes farming for ascended gear, and bitter old vet's who can't take off their rose tinted glasses? If the population is shrinking you may get games with players that are way below your skill. If it is rotating, it is not GREAT (tony the tiger voice) enough to keep anyone around long term, but hmmmmm...aren't there pvp games that do keep players around? If it's staying the same.....no it's not staying the same. I know players that do not play anymore, they are gone gone gone GOOOOOOOOOONE. You say it's great mechanics, the best, nothing comes close, but the quality of players is bad. You see, if any of the above is true, how GREAT (tony the tiger voice) can it really be? Taking a break...you will just come back to something worse. We wait for on demand tournaments (constant team games with decent rewards, so we can play with our mates), that is WHY I AM STILL HERE. RANKED will never be better than the day before.
