  1. I would still like to know what we'll need. I can guess we'll need Provisioner's Gifts and we have no idea how many. We're currently 48 days away from the next update. We should at this point have some idea.
  2. We're coming closer and closer to the update where the Legendary Relic will be implemented and we still have zero information on what we'll need to create it nor on how people who have Legendary Runes will be compensated other than knowing that they will. This makes it impossible to start saving up. With the Obsidian Armor, we could guess way in advance what we needed, and while the Relic will undoubtedly be a lot easier and faster it would be nice to know if we need any special stuff that we need to start saving for now, like, any of the map specific soul-bund items? Knowing that we have to start gathering them is quite relevant since you can only get a few of them pr. day if you go total grind on them.
  3. This is the dumbest kind of argument ever as it implies that people are unable to critique something unless they do it themselves. In which case there would be almost no critics of any kind. Please use proper arguments, instead of, just trolling. My initial post was genuine and you've only responded with trolling that implies that you're superior and anyone who complains is inferior. It's the dismissive "git gud" of anyone who realises subconsciously that there's an issue and their benefitting from that issue is in their conscious mind is "because they are particularly skilled and has nothing to do with unfair advantages at all." If you genuinely want to contribute then come up with specific ways that can counter an Elementalist because right now it seems that Elementalists can use a general build to take on everything while others need a highly specialised build to take on Elementalists in which case they'll be fodder for other general builds since they'll lack tools. Going, "What about these, they're a problem too!" is disingenuous as the question is about Elementalists. I already know what the issue with Thieves is and how it could be solved once and for all, which I've elaborated on in other posts. I can only imagine the issue with Harb and I'd guess it's a numbers thing. The reality remains that Thieves and Elementalists are four different specs each that are all issues of varying degrees and Harb is only one class.
  4. You have no consistency in your argumentation. Another one of your posts stated that Ele was a glass cannon and in this post, it can face tank? Only one of those statements can be true, which one is it?
  5. That's only okay if the issue has to do the same. This is a nothing statement it has no meaning. If 100 is the intended and one is on 200 and it's only nerfed by 25 for each patch to avoid accidentally going too far, then the "nerf over several patches" would be justified. Where did Eles start when they got these nerfs? I remember Eles getting buffed in a patch that made them virtually indestructible. Are you assuming that people play the worst option for no reason other than to be able to use it as a strawman argument? Superior Sigil of Hyfromancy is a support sigil..
  6. Your unintended argument is that Eles are fine you just need to bring a specialised build. There are few builds in the game whose roaming builds include enough CC to chain it.
  7. At this point, it's more of a Flavour of the Decade.
  8. The Boonball meta is caused by the base performance system of the game. Roughly said, the average maximum performance of everyone is 25% of their total performance value without Boons. The performance system needs to be redesigned so that the base performance of everyone is around 75% of the total performance while Boons only provides the last 25%. As the system is now Boonballing is too great a performance increase to skip.
  9. The answer is to remove Reveal as a mechanic and give every Stealth application a Grace Period before the player can be affected by stealth again. This is the only way to solve this issue on a causal level. Trying to fix it with an overpowered mechanic with a hard counter makes the mechanic it's supposed to counter even more overpowered if you lack the hard counter. Skills and Traits that currently give Reveal can be changed so they apply Grace Period on the affected.
  10. How do you defeat roaming Elementalists? They seem to have great mobility, great survivability, and great damage. It's like, they have everything and the kitchen sink while everyone else has to choose two of the three. What's this an issue of? Celestial? Or is it the Elemental Attunements that give them all of this?
  11. People still do it and how would it be a challenge to be shrunk down? It would literally make any JP easier as a large part of the screen would no longer be a player character.
  12. Yes, strawman as it implies things I never said or even implied. The arguments you said I used are invented, I can see that now that you repeat what you think you read as I never used the words "like" or "hate." You have an obvious chip on your shoulder and I suggest you remove it before it grows out of proportion and makes your life miserable.
  13. You literally invented a situation so you could argue against it and make me look ridiculous by context. You're doing it again when you say that I'm against being force-altered. The Crystal Cavern JP does this and people are still going there. This is clearly less of a problem than you make it.
  14. "Oh no... Anyway" Most players would like to be able to see where they're going when it comes to an environment where Norn and Charr can block your vision by size alone. While it can be no fun to be forced into a different size, there are more people affected by no fun if their vision is blocked, unless Norn and Charr are suddenly the majority played races. It's optimistic to think that it can be made so that only other players can see it since the walk cycles and animation timings are dependent on the size of the model. The only thing that could work would be like in the MKCT where other people are seen as wisps and that would be aesthetically boring for everyone.
  15. To paraphrase - "Watch me makes a strawman argument that has absolutely nothing to do with anything that was originally said." Yes, forced, I have done JPs and similar on Norns and Charrs and that's infinitely easier than being another race and having your vision blocked by a Norn and Charr and needing to do precision jumps. You can adjust to size and movement and compensate for it. You're unable to compensate for essentially making a blind jump where all you can hope is that you got the distance right since there's a Norn/Charr blocking your vision.
  16. What? On all paths, you only have one option and on normal and expert this is further reduced to one option: Keep moving. Once you're on those snowflakes you have to get off them asap. The only option you have is to wait on the rest platform since waiting too long outside of that will kill you. My issue is the other players blocking my view on a timed activity where you need precision jumps. You know, the same thing as the Clock Tower. The main difference is that you can go right away if you mess up in Wonderland while you have to wait in the latter.
  17. Apply the shrinking tonic effect on Charrs and Norns when they enter a JP area, they take up so much screen real estate. It's especially problematic on the Winter Wonderland puzzles since they can prevent you from seeing anything from their sheer bulk.
  18. Then most people would just ignore that objective. Serpent's Ire is IMO the worst meta-event ever added to the game. The design of it is extremely annoying. Even after you get past the gate of needing mobs that spawn in random locations the boss will go invulnerable every 5% starting at 20% health and then you have an annoying and prolonged for no reason, badly scaled intermission event. For Serpent's Ire to be included in the rotation Serpent's Ire needs to be redesigned to be actually enjoyable and less of a waste of time. It would have to give ten times the rewards of Dragon Storm for me to even CONSIDER going there and with the current design I would probably still skip it.
  19. Personally, it's less that I have to do a mini-dungeon or a JP and more that it's always the SAME mini-dungeons and JPs. The game has such a wide selection they could use for dailies, and I always see the same ones. JP? Morgan's Leap, always. Out of all the weeks, it has only been different once and the core game has a lot of different JPs it could be for weekly without ever diving into Chalice of Tears or Searing Ascent, or in Core, Not-So-Secret. The same with mini-dungeons, it's always either Spirit Vestibule or Vasburg ever since Valdhertz Crypts was removed from the rotation and neither of them is particularly difficult for me at this point, just annoying. ANet could easily include any Adventure in the rotation. For me, it's the lack of diversity. The game is rich in everything and the specific Wizard Vault tasks are always the same.
  20. I think Scepter would benefit a lot from some conceptual rewrites. The Tether is supposed to be a central aspect of the weapon and right now just feels like an afterthought as it essentially does nothing noticeable. Otherworldy Tether: Reduce the Upkeep either a little or a lot since by the time you get the good effect the Upkeep has often drained all the energy you have since due to time application it takes a minimum of two pulses to get the Fury, you can get the same effect as a Herald by using Facet of Darkness and it's a lot easier. This is six seconds and 18 Energy for an effect that you as a a Herald can get much easier and better as they default affect five targets in a 600-unit radius. Using the Tether should by default affect five friendly targets since practically Heralds can give those boons a lot easier and for every other spec affecting three targets is too little to be proper support. Instead of, getting stacks pr. hit I would change the stacks to be reversely proportional to the amount of targets hit so, the more targets hit the fewer stacks pr. target hit and the fewer targets hit the more stacks gained pr. target since the effect is oddly less effective the fewer targets there are. The Otherworldly Tether is meant to be a focal point of the Tehter, a highly symbiotic effect. As such, it should affect the auto attack in a major way, when you Tether to a target your auto attacks now affect five targets, and it pulses to affect up to five targets based on the stack of Tether. I think those changes would feel like the Scepter had more synergy with itself and be useful to every spec as there's a vast difference between the theoretical effect the Scepter has and the practical effect it has. And extend the range of the auto attack, making that unique since it summons that giant sword that extends far away.
  21. An Aurene Infusion would be nice. I want to be shiny and crystal!
  22. Revamp the new player experience. There's no need to revamp it drastically. Revamp it in a way that explains all the QoL things that were added to the game post-release. Right now new players have no idea about - Scrolling to change map levels. Some places in the Core game use this before HoT, and even that can be skipped if new players go past that story bit. - The /wiki command. - The legend on the map screen is able to flash stuff you've yet to interact with so they can be seen on the map. - The racial city has an Asura Gate leading to the LA hub. - How Defiance Bars and Break Bar damage works. This is only explained in EoD and this can be skipped. - New players having access to a WP in the other starting areas. Whenever I see a stream or VoD of someone trying the game these are the issues I see consistently and it tells me that the game does a really bad idea of advertising them.
  23. You can convert gold to gems and then use those gems to buy scrolls. Your argument only makes technical sense rather than contextual sense by omitting context, this makes it technically correct and a lie by omission. A lie by omission is still a lie even though it requires the one it was told to really want to believe it.
  24. I think people would be more upset if it was impossible to get this feature anywhere else in the game. They are though and have been in the game since 2017. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Proof_of_Heroics And there are variants for PoF and EoD. The scroll is literally a noob trap as a similar item exists within the game and is far cheaper when purchased there.
  25. If that's a euphemism for "caving their skull in," I'm okay with it ^^
