I think the problem is that no one at ANET really understands what happens in WvW. They likely have a program that spits out new links based on on population. Someone then takes that and copies and pastes it into a forum post. There's too many of the same and, or imbalanced links, with still 5 tiers on the EU side. It's only been downhill since deso got linked to wsr last year too. The population algorithm somehow dropped both servers to high, during the link even though they were dominating T1, which further damaged the servers population, with more quantity rather than quality, which was recruited by a certain guild that left last night.
