Petition to add Deployable Cannons

Hello this is a request to add Deployable cannons, something that was voted on to test in wvw, but was later scrapped. With the introduction of the warclaw and it's supply limited siege damage chainpull, and also the future implementation of siege turtles which are sure to follow the same design, I believe the same thing could be use to balance the deployable cannons, with each shot costing between 2-5 supply. I'll leave it it up to anet's Finding Random Stuff On The Ground Coordinator, to pull up the blueprints of this bad boy from the storage closet in the basement to explain it further.

P.S these would work so well in Desert where most of the objective siege is placed in really terribad places and in most cases are limited to the areas they are in and can't defend certain areas of the objective as they do in alpines or ebg objectives, (like inner cannons able to hit outer gates in many keeps).

Yeah, no one uses those things cause its insta death if a blob aoes it. And boon reapplication cancels out the risk. Now if it multiplied its damage depending on how many boons a player had, itd be amazing and worth the risk. Even some ground sitting corruption fields would be a nice change.

Pls, no. This idea would benefit trolls to waste many supplies without effort. Would be better if u need to refresh with a lower timer (nerf from 1h to 30-15min) cannons, oils and mortar for less supplies (50 supps to rebuild them)?

We went through this before,the deployable cannons were fun till blobs started mass using them outside of objectives.

That resulted in them easily stripping an objective from all defensive sieges and having easily an advantage due to numbers.

On the other side of the fence there was a case of valley fully decorated with cannons,which as far i remember no one could get close.

I think if moderated to a certain cap within objectives they could be re introduced,it was a fun siege addition but needed limitations.

at this point they might aswell add Sea battles with larg ships / upgradeable cannons / upgradable Hulls / upgradable sails / etc. Something like Archeage has.
