Power Virt is Unrewarding to Play Compared to Condi Virt

It's unfun to play Power Virt when you can just do equivalent damage with less headache on Condi Virt due to how spammy and easy blade restocking in condi variant with little to no punishment for messing up your rotation. In Power Virt you are forced to stay in certain weapon loops more, blades may stall on number 3 or 4 so you are forced to either weapon swap or wait and use phantasm once more at the cost of messing up rotation even more and still lose damage trying to compensate for it. 

 

So in short, Condi Virt is easy to play and offers at least the same damage as power variant. If Anet is actually reading these forums as Cmc and Roy claimed on the latest stream, I hope they consider making power Virt more fun and rewarding to play.

Problem with virt in general is that the class feels like a walking turret. The blade system was meant to shake things up for Mesmer but eventually it just made Gameplay very static in comparison. A sleeper class - apparently that’s what they aim for so I guess that’s the way it will remain.

Both are annoying when playing against monsters with projectile reflects though. Worst offender is fractal boss Jade Maw. The jade constructs all have perma reflect.

Condition virtuoso will always take Bloodsong for the +25% bleeding damage.

For power virtuoso, it would be easy to help it by improving Infinite Forge.
On top of its current effect, it could be made to stock a blade every (3 to 5) use of a weapon skill #1 that hit.

Hmm it is an interesting Elite Specialisation in PvE. Rather than managing clones and your own rotation, you manage the battlefield with well placed pulls + bladesongs.

Restocking blades is very straight forward but it is what you do in relation to enemies is the goal.

Power Virtuoso is even more this way since you can't rely on the Bleed to keep you alive so you need to let's say F5 into signet of Illusions then F5 again. Applying aegis at the correct time while also outputing damage when the enemy is exposed.

Definitely this.  The 3 second blade restock just can't compete with Bloodsong's blade generation.  Personally I'd want to see it a bit overbuffed to make sure it is the 'strike' build pick.  The way I'd like them to do this is to make it a might focused trait and convert +15 condition damage to +10 ferocity (+15% critical damage at 25 stacks) on might stacks for the Virtuoso in addition to auto stocking blades.  It needs to be worth taking over Bloodsong.  Also make it also grant 1 stack of might (8s) per blade stocked so the Virtuoso can use the trait more effectively while solo.

just delete your mesmer and play firebrand or mechanist like all devs

all virt is unrewarding, try cvirt in OW against waves of trash where your blade generation is nonexistent and enjoy doing "random stat green gear" level damage compared to any other class maybe except meme deadeye

actually virt is just deadeye but slightly less bad mechanically and much worse damage wise.

Virtuoso is amazing in the right hands. There is nothing quite like doing a Raid and being able to preform your full DPS rotation on any Ads as well as the Boss. 

Virtuoso has crazy synergy with Inspiration since it can also lower the cooldown of the Focus providing a much needed support alternative to the selfish DPS. 

Over all its great in most instanced content.

I still play sword+focus instead of greatsword , but obviously most power virtuosos are using dagger+sword for the main set.
It would be nice if melee range conferred higher DPS again compared to range.

I haven't been a fan of condi virtuoso whatsoever since I'd rather play mirage for condi, especially if Arenanet finally fixes axe ambush bugs.
