Make them give better rewards, add new models to bosses and unique mechanics for each boss. for example

metrica DRM: this boss now becomes gets a bar that can only be broken quickly enough with an asuran console. the player must play a minigame like in eod consoles, where you must imput the correct colours. in 5 man,  the boss gets a debuff that stacks up to 5 times. 1 stack for each player that helped interrupt.

Anet, please, DRM's are content that is right there awaiting the potential to be played. Also please make the begining event less of a chore.

The rewards bit might happen but it is unlikely that new models will be added or any minigames are added. They're a sunk cost from before EoD was proposed to be launched.
The issue is Arenanet is all in on strikes right now so I don't think the DRMs will have great rewards tied to them.

Yeah, IBS had a lot of potential and it went to the gutter. Maybe its better to let sleeping dragons lie.

There are various ways to make DRMs better but it's been 1.5 years since the last DRM release and they haven't touched them since then.  Since they can all be done solo, including the CMs, there's no reason for them to revamp them.  They could increase the rewards but they tend to favor open world metas being rewarding.

They should remove a lot of the hit points from the bullet sponge end bosses and maybe entice speedrunners to give them a go. They can give awards based on speed of completion.

The bosses are only sponges due to scaling and having other players not pulling their weight.  They all die fairly quickly when solo.

You do get extra rewards for speed if you have that particular mote active.

Reworking them as standard story instances (with actual story), with proper maps and additional story steps is what is needed. DRMs are arguably amongst the worst content in the game and are unsalvageable without radical change. Rewards, mechanics etc can be part of that, but on their own change nothing.

It won’t happen though. Whilst I found early Icebrood Saga hit and miss at times, it’s popularity and potential was easy to see. There’s almost a seasons worth of work needed to bring the second half of it up to scratch and that’s just not realistic.
