Excess Essence of Luck = Karma please

I am currently sitting on over 7K+ Essence of Luck (Exotic) since I keep up converting from salvaging with my artificer. ANet can you please allow all Essences of Luck consumed after maxing Magic Find on account to just convert to Karma currency?

Or at least let me use them for something like gambling via Grand Sahil Casino for a better loot table with Globs + Gold ?

So in our reality yours link about luck is obsolete.

It’s not obsolete because you don’t like those options.

You're kidding, right? Yes, there is a "usage" for them, but you can literally count the uses on one hand, and they have limits as well. Drooburt is a sink that doesn't give anything useful back, plus it's limited to 3 weeks a year. A scribe can use it for one-time guild hall upgrades, crafting banners and WvW boosts, but that can only be done by people with a guild that has a guild hall and who have bothered levelling the crafting discipline. And again, all usages with little to no personal profit. Then you can craft New Year's lantern back items. But most of them are worth next to nothing and it often costs more to craft them than what they're worth. And for the people who upgraded their luck to exotic essences to save inventory/bank space, since you can't downgrade essences of luck they don't even have all of these options, because some of them require lower tiers. And of course you can buy loads of lantern guild decorations, which again is only a way to get rid of luck and doesn't give you anything in return. Deleting it is much faster.

So, am I missing something? These seem to be the uses of essences of luck. Yes, technically you're right, but you have to admit these uses are pretty niche and rarely convert luck to anything of personal use or profit. So yes, give us a means of conversion, an eater, a newly raised cap, whatever. The fact is, you get buckloads of it without any real use or profit after you've reached 300% luck. And it will keep on coming unless you forgo salvaging gear altogether. ANet has already implemented plenty of conversion means for certain currencies and materials. Essences of luck should have one as well.

There are many other items that have usages that can be counted on a single hand as well. The amount of uses is irrelevant.

Drooburt is a sink which allows you to convert luck to gold. Are you saying gold is not useful?

I consider that decent, considering how much luck I get and how easily. The only gripe I have is that I have to save the luck for a year, which requires combining it for storage efficiency.

That said: I prefer this to the likely situation in which luck had a lot of important uses past 300% Magic Find, because then there would be pressure to keep and use it "properly." Right now, it's one less thing to worry about.

@kratan.4619 said:Not everything needs a secondary use if people are done using them for their primary purpose.if primary purpose is realy works may be yer, but now we talk about mf, and I am not sure that nowadays it works as should be.Also this is craft material for some items and still not have store in bank.. this is strange too.
