Think the issue is op thinks even though someone beat him in a match up that he is better than the other player.....why, why and how does he actually kno he's better than the guy that just beat him? Cuz he thins so doesn't make it true lmao. Secondly any great player can make mistakes a just good player can capitalize on to win a fight, even really bad players cuz have good fights. Lastly if thief is the class u have most issue with in match ups you clearly are less skilled than u think u are. Watch any top players that play thief stream and ull notice they will avoid a lot of classes in 1v1 due to not being favorable for them. Honestly sounds 100% like a l2p issue and a thread that should be closed.

like I said, I just swap to thief and beat them. the mistakes a thief makes are much more punishable in a mirror, they stealth, u stealth longer and get the opener (not a thing when its thief vs x. but a huge deal when thief vs thief)

Yeah u and every other whiner use the same old " I just swap to x class and easy win" bs.

If u search thru each classes sub threads there are 100% guaranteed more threads in thiefs regarding new players having issues "getting good" on thief than any other classes sub thread, it's not even close and is regarding pve, wvw and pvp. U guys need new material. Thief is and always has had one of the higher skill floors and ceilings with exception of some meme condi builds, of which most class have as well.

they avoid certain 1v1s because they would take too long or sometimes even forever. A "well played" thief does not die to any other class other than another thief. Thief is balanced in pvp because it cannot hold the node and not because thief is not a good dueling class.
