Let's talk about Down state Guardian

What do you guys think about the Down state Guardian skills? it seems like if both people are downed at the same time majority of the time Guardian seems to come out the loser. Just seems like other classes have a better comebacks to their downed states one of the most annoying examples is having a ranger/guardian downed at the same time you just push the pet and it goes back to insta rezzing and there's not much you can do about it and the damage is just so low you are pretty much helpless in that situation and the symbol just regains health too slowly.

??? Guardian downed heal literally saves some parties from full wipe, unless they changed something, it has one of the best downed healing..

 Depends what we compare xd if you go with necro vs guardian then sure you will beat me every time, but i had in mind the moments where everyone goes down and ty to guardian heal fb saves the party

everyone go down is a freak accident. and even than a ranger get faster up

It's above average and let me explain why:

- The Auto Attack dmg is very much average with no added utility(conditions for example).

- The AoE KB is good if you can time it well enough.  Stab is everywhere.

- The symbol heal is quite nice.

My only issue with downstate guard is the F1... why in the world did Anet disable F1 procs for downstate guard?? I would understand if it was disabled for Willbender but it has been disabled entirely, basically since the game released.

Burst dps power guard can hit anywhere between 800 to 1000 ticks while condi guard will only hit for 100 to 200 damage lol.

Someone has to have the worst downstate and that's guardian!  Congrats!  Enjoy usually losing to every other class if you go down at the same time. 🙂

It's middle-of-the-road, maybe even above average. The anti-stomp skill isn't as good as being able to move away from the stomp, but if not countered by stability or other anti-CC measures, it can stop multiple stomp attempts simultaneously and won't cause an ally's attempt to use a revive skill to fail because you're no longer where the revive skill was aimed (a common problem with trying to revive mesmers, thieves, and elementalists). The symbol, while not as good at getting you back up as ranger pet, gives you a pretty solid chunk of downed healing, potentially also helps get nearby downed allies up, and will help allies attempting to revive you to actually survive the attempt. It's not the best in a 1v1 downed state fight, but that's not a very common circumstance, and even then it's decent (if you're next to the enemy, it's both healing and damage, if not, it's healing that most downed professions don't have access to and the engineer can't launch you off). In PvE situations where multiple allies have also gone down, or competitive situations where you have allies actively trying to revive you, it's among the best.

Downstates are quite situational for each class.  Each is special on its own. 
Ranger pet ress is no doubt the best but it is suicidal if your opponent is a Condi Guardian, they just barbeque burn you.
Guardian downstate is good as the symbol helps other downed players to regen tremendously as well. Hence, the con is that it will fail if it gets knocked away from the symbol.

See every pros and cons in everything, nothing is perfect.
