ArenaNet Livestream: Wow! Meow, Not happening??

Recommended Posts

I am sure we all have questions regarding the Warclaw . me included as I don't like the idea of it in WvW, but in light of current events would you want to sit on a livestream having to dodge the obvious nosey parker questions relating to lay offs and the future of the game, company, world.. especially when it might be you getting escorted out of the building at anytime.. no.Try to at least show some respect for the employees.. when the time is right I am sure ANET will want to take our questions on the actual subject mater rather then have it create the opportunity for a free for all on stuff that is nothing to do with us.

Don't get me wrong. While I was looking forward to the live stream, I understand that they are busy with, and worried about the recent news. It is perfectly fine that that is their priority right now. I sure wouldn't have wanted to sit in front of the camera if I was in their situation.

And I've seen twitch chat. It was full of disrespectful, unfunny "jokes" and memes. Not exactly encouraging. I wouldn't have wanted to be moderator there either.

I'm just unhappy that the cancellation of the live stream was not announced before but long after its scheduled start.

But regarding questions, they could have started the stream with a short statement, even if mostly empty words, and then ignore the whole topic and only show the mount as planned. Actually I was hoping for that, too. But again: I'm not criticizing the cancellation, only the lack of communication.

ANET works prolly spent the whole day doing meetings and working on specific projects related to the NCSoft announcement. Mostly likely the "technical Issue" is that they outright didn't had the time to set everything up for stream.

Doubt the peeps responsible for livestreams are in anyway involved in the layoffs

Streaming is in itself a form of communication between the players and devs.Taking in consideration that not a single dev posted absolutely anything ever since their last announcement I can only assume the whole team was instructed to not do so.
