Taco in WvW?

Someone said they you could use taco in WvW to see the enemy is this true? And if it is true how is that fair? I already am not the big fan of WvW but if I want legendary items I am required to go there. It makes hiding impossible from ppl with taco.

No. Taco uses the public GW2 API just like any other overlay.

Why would you want to hide from people in open world pvp zone to begin with? Besides, deadeye and stealth still exist.

I don't like to pvp so I only flip camps. I hide so ppl don't gank me while I wait for a camp timer to count down.

You can hide in spawn or far away from the camp, where people don't go. Every camp has "safe zones".

What I don't understand is why bother playing content that you're not even enjoying, especially if it's stressful and when you need to do months and months of it.

Because you can only get GoB in WvW and this is off-topic o just was trying to find out if taco could let the enemy see your position..

Warclaw sniff ability shows enemies in a 5000 radius. It also has a 60s cooldown.

Why do you care if they gank you btw? It happens to all of us.

Completely forgot about GoB. If you want to make it faster you can also do wvw dailies which give you reward track potions.

The only options TaCo gives for WvW are seeing markers for Camps, Towers, Keeps, Ruins, Generic, Resource and Castle.None of these reveal player positions, or mark players in stealth.

The ingame tools are better for that (warclaw sniff , dots on map/minimap, etc)

You can use [TACO] to see the enemy though. If one of our guild is on, you just share participation to scout.

@op it’s an iligal hack trough an overlayIf there’s one way to search stuff on the old forum u could search for that thread.

Another disappointing topic heading. I thought they were advocating introducing tacos as a food choice. Now that I can get behind.
