  1. Jump from Black citadel to Seitung province waypoint is 9 silver and 28 copper. Look Anet, i really appreciate the vast amount of literally nothing you dumped between core lands and new expac for no reason whatsoever, but this is way, way, WAY overpriced.
  2. One of the first things my char did arriving into a different, sovereign, isolationist nation was infiltrating the casual party under orders of local KGB, spying on people there and then murdering discovered dissidents for not supporting the official ideology of mutual respect and friendship. That's so hilariously reflective. Of everything.
  3. I heard fractal pots are salvageable too now. Terrible change. Can't mass-salvage my kitten now.
  4. Hate the story so far. Hate Gorrik in particular. Starting cutscene was bugged and had missing audio. All the implications for future story developments so far are lame beyond belief. Whoever decided that paperwork is a good starting point for an expansion was wrong. Like the aetherblade crew though, both sides of it. Hope there's more to do with them. Love the first map. Aesthetics are beautiful, verticality is present but not overwhelming, leviathan meta event was fun. Overall events on it are somewhat basic, but I expect that to change on other maps. Shadow maze around temple was a bit underwhelming, but still nice. Giant cat was a particular highlight of the trip. Fishing is ripped straight from Stardew valley (or wherever that game ripped it from). It's allright. Don't see much purpose in it so far, other than mat farm. Only one functional bug so far with kirin hero point. Really smooth otherwise.
  5. I dare you, I double dare you motherkittens, to justify the barrier nerf on Scourge. It has no shroud. It has no protection, no evades, no vigor. 15% damage reduction when all shades are up - that's all the defense it has. Sand shroud is supposed to be its discount shroud. It's a joke now. Sand flare is the worst healing skill scourge could possibly take. That, in turn, makes the entirety of second column traits useless. Meanwhile, while playing HB, i seriously wondered "why do elites do no damage to me" before going and reading up that regen is back. Then there is a fact that reaper's realistic damage output in actual encounters is nerfed with shroud absorption. Said damage was nothing to write home about to begin with. Is that supposed to be balanced? kitten that kind of balance. Unless there's some actually incredible stat boost from jade bots usable in instanced content, this will not do.
  6. Trying the bog-standard PVE power setup on harb, with signet and well. Pistol isn't cutting it as a power weapon, at all. Shroud, on the other hand, is quite nice, and a decent alternative to reaper considering range on it. Not sure it will make it in instanced PVE, but for purposes of running around on power it's allright.
  7. It's not the same, no. It works off blight stacks now, and doesn't consume lifeforce. But it's there, while on second beta it wasn't. And it's pretty formiddable. Especially when compared to 2k kittening barriers worth of "survivability".
  8. Harbinger has his autoregen back, and it's pretty strong at max blight. So it's actually more survivable than scourge now.
  9. Scourge has no survivability anymore, tormenting runes are dead (good riddance tbh), PARASITIC CONTAGION of all things is nerfed by half. Reaper shroud damage absorb is nerfed for some godforsaken reason. Soul eater healing is nerfed by 1%. Let that thought sink in for a moment. Why... Then garbinger is back at losing half of his HB in blight, while still gaining 12.5% damage increase from it. I think I'm off to play Warframe till the next balance pass...
  10. Let's be honest, that's what we get for maining necros. It's amazing Scourge was allowed to be viable for as long as it did.
  11. 2188 Sand cascade also takes the crown of worst healing skill of the class, with 2420 barrier on it. That's 5650 combined with "heal". Naked Consume conditions is 5240 raw healing.
  12. Is this some kind of joke? Because it's not april yet. TLDR: embrace the downstate meta boys, as true masters of death. Edits1: 2188 barrier on shroud. Sand cascade is 2420 barrier on it. That's 5650 combined with "heal". Naked Consume conditions is 5240 raw healing. Edits 2: Scourge has no survivability anymore, tormenting runes are dead (good riddance tbh), PARASITIC CONTAGION of all things is nerfed by half. Reaper shroud damage absorb is nerfed for some godforsaken reason. Soul eater healing is nerfed by 1%. Let that sink in for a moment. Why... Then garbinger is back at losing half of his HP in blight, while still gaining 12.5% damage increase from it. Autoregen is back though.
  13. Back in the day, I was considering quitting not because of LWS2, but because how kittening horrible the last section of personal story was. It's deeply terrible, with terrible gameplay sequences, terrible story and terrible characters. That was before mounts, and before Orr got depopulated of all the terrible mobs in it. So the whole thing I spent in perma-crippled stated to boot. To the day Orr is my most hated set of maps. LWS2 felt like a breath of fresh air after that. No more cardboard Traherne, and characters that actually look alive for a change? I could overlook the missing LWS1 for that.
  14. Reliable kamikaze you mean. If I had a mystic coin for every time a cele player stole aggro from boss without warning anybody, I'd be done with my current mystic tribute.
  15. I hope they axe off Aurene for good this time. Now that IBS is done, it did help me to like Braham a bit more than before. He had his good moments. Let's leave it at that and not have him show up in EOD.
  16. From my experience of working with artists, they just thought it looks cool. Either the artists decided a concept is cool, and had writers write justifications for it, or the writers decided they have a cool idea, and had artists visualize it. Then their management concluded that it looks cool for them too, and that's it. It's one thing to not like the visuals presented. Yet you try to dig for reasons that, most likely, just aren't there. The unreasonably quick advancements already are kinda explained by dragonjade being that much of a powerhouse. But I'm willing to bet in reality they just wanted to make a megapolis map.
  17. What's the reason behind charr driving steam tanks? What's the reason behind Desolation being delosated? What's the reason things look the way they do and not some other way?
  18. I'm not talking about fractals. Those were never tied to expansion releases anyway, we just got them at random along the way. Some of them, I'd rather not get tbh. Strikes are positioned to replace raids. There's 4 of them - like 4 bosses in your standard raid wing. CMs are supposed to drop LIs - like normal raid bosses. There's arguably more content in it, because basic strikes will supposedly give something resembling rewards too. And CMs are even delayed on release like normal raids 🧂🧂🧂 Are you seriously going to argue that there is some value in raids outside boss encounters? Like, are gates of Ahdashim an essential part of experience? If not, then you will inavariably conclude that raid is "a bunch of boss rooms". Except chained together for extra inconvenience. So, by that kitten logic, neither PoF nor HoT releases supported endgame content either. Yay.
  19. How is that different from previous expansion releases? W1 is 3 bosses "in a room" with an event inbetween. W6 is 4.5 bosses "in rooms". And I'm not sure if raids were even available on expansion releases - somebody refresh my memory here please.
  20. The problem didn't appear with HoT. The very same community used to sit in dungeons and police them in the same way they now do with raids. If anything, raids simply became a reservation for those people, making other contet actually playable for a change. That's on one hand. On the other hand, last week we wasted about an hour of a raid on a single moron who wasn't able to figure out what toughness is. So yes, there is a reason to kick people from squads. No, there's no adequate solution.
  21. I wonder what kind of damage are we looking at on qhb with new set announced? Maybe there will be a place for it after all, as secondary quickness or something.
  22. It's just a classy move on anet's side - to lock mystic coin farm behind expansion purchase. Won't have any effect on already kittened MC economy, not at all /s
  23. Hard to say. The whole thing is somewhat vague so far. It can be great, it can be useless.
  24. I don't like the fact that they require charges, because, right now, they sound completely useless out of EOD maps. Recharging is stupid. Other than that - nice to see eles get their long-deserved survivability buff.
