Not exactly couldn't you use the doggo to teleport through sand portals. I think thats what i did, its been a while.

No idea, too early to tell. Rune of the Pirate might be better, no more annoying parrot to slow you down. I will miss my Rockdog and Golem though.

I pre purchased Ultimate because gems are super expensive here in Australia due to conversion rates with USD so no not really, new content is better than no content.. Relics will be annoying but i'll deal. My main worry is how useless loot will be yet again in open world.. To be honest a exotic, rare weapon or gear no longer gives me that oh i got some loot drops anymore.. Entitled or just tired i'm not sure, but if the odd ascended dropped as a reward i'd be super happy.. In my opinion at this point at least 85% of players outside of newbies have at least some or a lot of ascended by now, i feel the odd ascended loots would be a welcome change.. I just lose interest when 99% of my loot from open world is trash to sell for 9 copper or deconstruct.. Nothing worth going "Wow thats nice" over these days, i miss the old days of Tyria when an exotic drop meant a profit on the AH or a cool new item..

I know people hated the hearts in Tyria.. But i personally liked the idea of them, different styles of quests, different things to do, kinda like a rpg. What i didn't like was running back to get my rewards every time.

I kinda swap and change, as i said for years it was bunny and griffon for myself and i didn't find much content hard to compete with Skyscales until those memory things that required a skyscale.. In the end i decided i've got to do this stupid grind as i could see over time the direction Anet was heading was the skyscale direction..

Anet is using ChatGPT to do their blog posts and expansions.

I don't really care what loop holes or changes i'd have to jump through i'd do it for race changes.

As a pve casual i agree and i'm ok with that. I'm first and foremost after the purple stats swapping myself, dont really need animated visuals.

More story mostly, with the wizard tower in Kessex hills finally revealed it seems great. (I remember looking at that early in GW2 release and thinking what a missed opportunity it was). Zojja, As an Asura main this is great news. New gears and weapons.. Hopefully back to GW2 release style loots would be awesome. New ways to use my weapons and specs would be good. Just ways to casually acquire a legendary Armor set in open world.. Without being forced into hardcore modes i don't enjoy. Personally found strikes just as hard as raids myself...

It is pretty frustrating. As an Aussie with 280+ pings the servers seems to be way off with the slow downs as well.

No not really i just assume they will resurrect at some point.. Mine seldom die anyway before EoD.

I like the new ninja style one myself, its the first legendary armor i've liked visually. But i'm not sure i really want to go through that type of grind.. and the legendary runes nerf bothers me.

Agreed and some small events that solos and small groups could do, pocketed around the maps, not just kill these Spongebob Squarepants mechs again and again... I know i might be a minority but i'm burnt out on the super timed over reaching map events. following 50 other people trying to hit stuff in a mess of sfx not being able to see AoEs can for myself get tedious very very fast.

Maybe i'm slow but i still don't understand how it works.. How many Relics will there be all up.. Will there only be the ones listed or will there be a relic for every set.. including legendaries.

I waited years for my Skyscale and finally slaved through it last year.. If only i'd known i had to wait one more year.

I agree i grew up on Intellivision, Megadrives, Nintendo's and early Playstations many years ago.. when controllers were semi ok to use. But after using pcs for so long Modern controllers just feel complex to use. I've tried multiple times to try and get used to PS4 controllers but many days later i'm still fighting against them.. Xbox controllers are even worse they are all messed up button wise.. I just cannot do it. Controllers just feel funky to use.. and my brain cannot get used to them.

I didn't like EoD modern designs, the jade tech bothered me. The characters and their opinions did not appeal to me. The story was too modern social media like for my tastes (probably my generation not sure) and the lack of any meaningful loot in open world outside of grind currencies in lemming style trains just makes me lose interest.. I liked some of the maps, they were pretty if not used very well. Kaineng is an eye sore (sorry) but the rest looked great, the world builders are doing their jobs well. The specs were very nice, i enjoyed nearly all of them (For me Warrior or Revenant were pretty bad) but the rest were great, The new mount was very grindy and forced me to do content i didn't enjoy and well.. the end result was pretty pointless.

I like how they look down on Griffon players with it... @0.04..

I agree its just not worth the time and effort involved for what can happen in the future of GW2.
