you know exactly that there are alot people who not always want to stop playing and rerun to some trader to rebuy tools. also toolslots ony for 1 character. want to use the tools on another character you need to use your low bank space to transfer stuff or buy shared inventory slots to do it quicker... will you stay in a restaurant which gives you breakable fork and knife so you need to rerun to the waiter all the time during your meal? the tactics is to make it uncomfortable so people pay and that is not a "complete collection" and not entertainment. and with a view on anet dont doing anything in most gamemodes with the cash they make with these cheap tactics its absolutely normal people now vent to make their new steam bubble a nightmare. think omg think GG

everybody knows that but where are your arguments that the current design has to be that way? what arguments do you have for the little developement over 10 years while making so much money like they do? anything else but personal attack attempts?

peeps are calling it "pay2win" cause they log in and see all the needed unlocks to play it comfortable like all the inventory slots and bankspace, build templates, unlimited harvest and salvage tools etc etc. As I posted in some other thread already: New players are not little year 0 babys who cant read, write and are not able to count 1+1 in this case. they directly realise that the offer "complete collection" for 100 bucks is way not the end to spend and therefore everything else but "complete". now all the white forums knights can arise and say "you dont need anything further to play story etc." but if you guys are just a little true to yourself you have to admit that playing all expansions and living story makes it impossible to just play with 1 bankslot and that little inventory you are given as you are looting and getting all kinds of story items permanently into your inventory alone. people are not dumb they see what happens here. "no subscription fee". The restaurant to enter is free but if you order food you get plastic fork and knife that directly breaks. want to eat comfortable? buy real fork and knifer for 20 dollars but beware you cant resell it, what you buy stays with you accoundbounds... no conspiracy, i have been in the Teamspeak session back then. It was open for everyone to join in this community.

at release it was cheaper to get. then the german community "https://gw2community.de/" who organised events like tequatl or triple trouble etc. complained to the former german community manager "Ramon Domke" on a TS Session that "everybody would have the commander tag regardless of the commanders quality and that the tag should be higher in price so the amount of real commanders would thin out to only the ones who really want to go into it". So actually they made politics to strengthen their own communitys commanders giving them more exclusivity and make people join their events on their teamspeaks back then. The price was highered to 300 gold in one of the patches which followed this teamspeak session between Domke and the gw2community.de

we talk again next week when you will see all anet partners showing off their new steam accounts on twitch stream. "yeah i got me a steam account to check it out and aaaawww its so nice i love it, i can also support the game this way and it gets more attention on steam, can only recommend it to you guys its so awesome *peeeepsy voice*"

stop calling it conspiracy. there are already folks who announced to have gw2 in original client and also in steam client running simultaneously to make the game look more active on steam. same happened already with the free heroic edition key + pof half price campaign. these fanatics think they support the game developement with spending like that what is not happening. anet was like "oh we have a growth in new players". But these where our credit card heros registering new accounts in special offer campaign. same people are already all over reddit ala "we need to bring all guides up to date" "think about how we can hook them steam guys up" "we need to help them"... as if next week all maps are suddenly swarmed by millions of new players... these oversupportive people have the rose color glasses on losing all realism once again.

and this is sadly what will happen. anet knows by now that a huge part of community is oversupportive buying everything inthe believ that this will one day lead to huge improvement even though it didnt happen for a decade. it prolly went like this in some companies office: boss: "yo guys its time again, any ideas how we can cash off the old content once again?" some marketing guy: "yeah i have an idea boss, we create this hypetrain that we going for steam distribution" boss: "hmm sounds good but how can we cash them off again with that? we want to cash them once more" Another marketing guy: "well we wont give them the possibility to link their existing accounts to a steam version; since these donuts believe they must support us by buying everything they will buy new accounts then again. we did a good job making the impression that the game needs cash to improve what we actually dont have in mind." boss: "nice idea guys! lets get the partners into the boat we need their trusted streamers to make them believe that this steam will change anything and let the register ring ring ring.! dude... you will soon see that im right, and i stand with my opinion. the main customer base on steam will be our own existing playerbase yet once again. the same will occur like some month ago when anet announced that they have a growth in player numbers just right after giving away free heroic edition keys via nvidia and pof+hot half price. it was all over the community and lots got more alt accounts this way to grab the daily rewards with their 40+ accounts. have a look at the survey on this forum. 50% of players voted to have 2 or more accounts. -one cannot link existing account with steam -steam will have an offer of complete edition - all expacs +all episodes. clearly a case for our credit card heros who prevent the game from being developed properly since years cause easy cash = why change anything as a company. one guy on reddit asked already if one can have GW2 run via the client and simultaneously via steam. there are plans already to cause gametime for the steam statistics. thats what happens soon. play gw2 on your main account and have steam session running in the background plus twitch in your browser for lootdrops... oh my god the game is soooooo active look at all the game time on steam and twitch viewers... dude.. please wake up. The lost ark hype happened cause all people from other mmos wanted to test the new game free to play. there where lots of players from gw2 even playing that game for a while. Same with games like new world. complete new game on the market = all go there cause they want new content. this has nothing to do with steam and gw2 is not a new game is 10 years old. Its not that steam players can only play games on steam dude like "oh finally GW2 on steam what we never could play cause it wasnt available here". players with a steam account are normal humans like you who can anytime register whatever game without a steam account. stay realistic guys steam is not some unknown planet or place where its players couldnt get away from and where suddenly a new race enters planet earth and all just waited for GW2. my biggest concern is that our usual community heros will just buy more accounts now cause they want the game look good on steam but the only thing they cause with this is a manipulation of real numbers again. like anets "oh we have atm soooo many new players but in reality its been all the heroic keys given away on nvidia for free which people registered as their alt accounts once again... coincidence that one cannot link existing accounts to steam on realease? our red rose glasses wearer will just swipe their credit cards in the hope that this would support the game not realising that this game makes minimum 10-15 million dollars per quarter already if nothing special like a expansion or so arrives. and did it "support the game developement" in the last 10 years?

I would not be so hyped about it as i doubt that this release will spool in millions of new players like some here dream already infront their eyes… “watch out new steam players everywhere, streamers get yer guides up to date, they will need it.“ reddit is currently full of these joke threads. some are also so media influenced again on this that they believe that „help“ is needed on every corner on every map, jesus. As if a new player who manages to install the game got no brain, education and cant read and write… jesus. A new player is not a baby without experience in life. some also believe that this will bring spvp and wvw back to life… btw. in case noone realised… anet tries to solve the low amount of twitch viewers by implementing more twitch loot drops… have twitch run next to your game to recieve loot…so baiting viewers with cheap loot instead of game design… A lightning example in what fake world we arrived.

I think it would be good if you guys clearly state if you have selected your guild within the deadline. Keep in mind if you just selected it 5 minutes before the reset or so there would be no bug it would be right.

stop thinking guys, there will be no changes. Also there will be no actions against the wintraders. Cause when they are getting banned they are back later and continue then cause they earning money with it. And why did anet not perma IP ban these people yet? Cause these wintraders are buying accounts from anet and money is all anets goals seem to be. So with every account sold in blackmarket anet earned with the initial official sale of the account. In Anets calculation: "Wintrader buy account why ban and take effort to change system instead?" Here also applies the only thing one can do: Stay away from this game when you dont like how it is. This game is causing more emotional anger by now than it makes fun, stay away for the good of your health, wellbeing and family.

competitive in this game will never be different from what you see today anymore. ESL quit 2017 cause the numbers of viewers didnt meet their expectations anymore. twitch viewer numbers are not even to talk about. if teapot would stop twitching there be 300 viewers left. I come online - The Commander tells on TS needs "Damage" - I go with Revenant and enter queue. After 65 Minutes arriving on the Map, the commander tells in TS "For now on only accept support guards in squad" When i come with damage class and commander want heal i can log off after 65 Minutes waiting to queue another 65 on heal class to hear that commander needs damage when i finally arrive back? still bugged, im on EU Servers. Eventchain doesnt start whole day. All other food is available on TP, if the event cant be fixed maybe anet can drop a recipe to craft the food in karma traider Merla which is standing next to rakkan. Or make the food available in any other creature loot drop?

I have all bag slots unlocked and filled all slots with 32 slot bags. not something one urgently needs but once you have that you not want to miss all the inventory space again. i can just identify a whole stack of loot and salvage it in 2-3 clicks. i would anytime craft the bags again.

i think it will be tengu as there where tengu in cantha as well back in gw1 factions. possibly the race arrives with cantha therefore. just hope they will have nice facial design and look like dangerous eagles not like the ones we have ingame like mushi mushi mushi birds... of they look like mushi mushi birds can directly leave it. we are fashion wars not mushi wars.

ya is anet ignoring the game mode for couple of years, alot of employee who did the small stuff which has been added are let go in high numbers and therefore not in the company anymore. false management decisions of the old ceo mike o brien who also left to hide in a new company. he even once said "wvw players are really into pve" welcome to the millenium company style...
