  1. Pretty much what I see across all game modes. Power does the most damage but has less utility. Conditions do slightly lower damage but offers more utility. Support DPS go further down the utility route and Support Healers can sometime be entirely utility or gimmicks, Scourge healer for example.
  2. Restorative Mantras - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W) + Mantra of Pain. It has no cooldown so 3k+ heal every 2-3 seconds.
  3. Yes, and I didn't just agree with Salt Mode right above your post.... I was wrong about describing it as a one-shot build by everyone's definition. It's probably the least egregious thing I have stated. I mean advocate bringing Inspiration Virtuoso into Raid to off-heal (which I do).
  4. I thought this to, but an expansion was in the works, but their overloads would not green light it due to having a Chinese theme. Some of the groundwork had been laid hence why they announced and released it a year later.
  5. Playing a Virtuoso healer was pretty niche to begin with so it will be hard for them to consider every build when they balance stuff. But who knows I have suggested an extra change and allowing Restorative Mantra to be extended to each charge (at a further 50% reduction.)
  6. Virtuoso has had barely any changes since it launched. I'm a bit lost on this one. What was giving you Regeneration, Duelist's Reversal? Blocking with Aegis or Bladesong 4 has never been better. The only change is a 15 second increase to Bladesong 4 in PvP only. Again, both of these are a buff since more Aegis means more boons and Virtuoso has the most invulnerabilities in the game which could easily be used to channel a Mantra. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Plate_of_Sweet_Curried_Mussels, that's what i use in solo PvE Otherwise, good post and valid concerns 🙂
  7. I think the funniest responses I get if a private dm after a match or even Fractal and then an instant block so I can't reply. People in this game take things wayyy to personaly. Many times I have tried to encourage a team to play better, target particular people, stop afking, improve your DPS rotation, ect. Only to be berated by them after.
  8. Sorry i posted it on accident. Anyway I can stop derailing the topic and leave it at that. I never meant to entertain Veprovina asking about the one shot build. Hmm the support thing is interested since like I said the wider player base tend to agree with me and find alot of my suggestions very helpful. I mean playing Inspiration Virtuoso is very fun in PvE and people far prefer it to Mirage/Chronomancer when I show them the build. Anyway I'll stop here, have fun with you second dodge thread, I hope you get it back.
  9. Okay... Great you clarified how we play. Greatsword 4 + Shatters F1 is the closest thing to a one shot. Then she will follow up with Mimic + Disenchanter + Disenchanter. Then the Signet of Ether can then be used to reset everything again
  10. Its just the theme we are going for, I'm not really putting a line in the sand claiming this is the definition of a one shotting build. I guess we are both glass builds. That might be more accurate even if our entire kit is about boosting damage at a critical point. I mean I share my stances to so that helps.
  11. We mostly just try and cover each other. The damage we both do is pretty crazy so normally it is one person who downs the enemy. The class spread really helps since Virtuoso can't deal with barriers but a Soulbeast Barrage can. Virtuoso stealth is also very nice and my wife will often run more when needed in conjunction with Mimic. We just have fun at the back line of the Zerg, throwing clones and aoe into the middle of a clash.
  12. Amazing I plan on doing a similar build but I will use full Berserker and Runes of Water. It's very nice to be able to switch to healing during any difficult PvE fight with a group. I will run two weapons and get energy back on weapons swap. Greatsword and Hammer for a little bit of ranged damage when needed.
  13. True I don't know why people are focusing on what I said so much, I do want the Mirage second dodge back. The OP took it on a tangent based on my off-topic comment.
  14. I gave you the build but you just wanted to point out that it wasn't being played solo. Go critique my build and not how it is being played then... I never made false claims, I just described the build as one shotting. It's just the theme of the build, to do as much damage in as little time as possible. Again look at the build.
  15. Lol I like how everyone took the time to entertain my one shot description only to claim I lied to you. Why even ask if you just wanted to gloat. I don't see how playing with someone invalidates it's potential in PvP. @Veprovina.4876 @Infusion.7149 You know why they nerf Mesmer, because most players hate us. Whenever I mention PvP and Mesmers in any guild chat people tell me they want it nerfed even more. They tell me its incredible unfair to be killed by someone they can't even identify among the many clones it has. Im not convincing Arena Net that Mesmer needs more nerfs it is the wider player base which is trying. I even stick up for you guys most of the time sigh, atleast I bother chatting with you all.
  16. Okay.... Should I just play without her then.. I mean she can down people by herself, again I'm not here to really prove anything, I'm just telling you what we do. I'm not making grand claims that Mesmer is broken, and no one plays it like you guys do. I'm just saying we have fun, and it is fine in PvP. I just described her build as one shotting too. I never rigidly tied to soloing other players in the most elitist style.
  17. True but isn't that the same. Come out of stealth and blow someone up. We do play these builds in Zergs to due to the Ranged. I guess we are not one-shotting by this definition, if at the end of full rotation, we down someone I would say they were one shot. We are not downing people without them having some counter play, that would be unfair otherwise. My wife does not like being mean to other players so I'm sure she would hate it.
  18. I don't do Videos but I can do a build, this is close to what she uses. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiwAEhrlVwuYasNGKOyOnxSA-zVIYRU/fGRIVrQVZ1DQI/BA-w We normally Roam together so I guess I help her, but she can still one-shot people if we lock them down. You essentially spam Phantasms with the build she uses. I also can one shot people on a "sic em" Soulbeast duel Longbow build. It's really fun dismounting people and just watching them struggle while we both prevent them from leaving with absurd damage. It really helps with two since it prevents a thief one-shotting one of use since we can take turns defending each other. We have had lots of fun recently.
  19. The alternative is to add an extra charge to all Mantras so you can pre-precast them and wait for the cooldown or use them all and recast them. Right now though I love Mantra of Pain for healing groups.
  20. Did you know out of combat Urn of Saint Viktor will perpetually trigger Jade Tech overcharges? Essentially you can enter combat with 30 seconds Quickness and Alacrity.
  21. Don't listen to anyone here, it is poison so switch to Rune of Thorns and then use a Bleed duration sigil. Its most boils down to how many poison stacks the Dagger and Shortbow can apply especially at close range. Not to mention the extra damage and healing you get from Predators Cunning so win win.
  22. Why must i prove anything here? People do the same thing on Chronomancer all the time I don't think it's to hard to believe Virtuoso shares this ability.
  23. Neither, play Renegade. You have permanent group Quickness with Herald You have permanent group Alacrity with Revenant You have permanent group healing with a Vindicator Not many classes can do this while not in combat,. Sure Vindicator should be played as a dps but sometime a boss phase just has a bunch of damage to avoid; Switch to Saint Viktor and just start healing.
