  1. Only, they do not look like holograms bur rather like sparkly ghostly weapons. The tooltip is never wrong! Don't question The Developer.... :skull: Uh oh... how could I?! ;)
  2. You should communicate to the Commander that you don't have a mount yet. Many are nice enough to take that into consideration and walk instead of ride for most parts. The warclaw was introduced to lure PvE players into WvW, now it seems to have to opposite effect. ;) You really should get the mount, it doesn't take long.

  4. It also lets you explore less and rush through map completion instead. A shame. @Drakortha.6974: I think you are exaggerating immensely there. ;)
  5. Like many other bugs Yes. You can be certain that, once it gets fixed, it will be back with the next patch - why, though, remains a mystery to me.
  6. It isn't, it was designed that way. You have to use the Use key on the updrafts for this, it's always been that way.
  7. This is a constantly re-occuring bug and has been for years now. I've stopped reporting it, because there does not seem to be a point to it.
  8. :+1: Indeed. It's like saying, "Planes are useless, because we have choppers." :s
  9. Oh, I seriously hope that there will be some grand finale. :) The festival became repetitive quickly as, at least for me, there are only two activities that are remotely fun: The Mount Race and the Dragon Bash Arena. The Mount Race, because it is the most attention-heavy activity, and the Dragon Bash Arena, because it makes for fast farming of chests. Moa racing doesn't require neither skill nor much attention as it is a 100% passive "activity", and the Stampede is super boring to begin with. There is no exciting long-term collection like the Wintersday unique shoulder skin or anthing of the kind that will keep you hyped for more than 2-3 days. :/ I hope there will be more content next year, preferably some story quests, anything diverse that doesn't just include killing mobs.
  10. In addition to that, I'd that if you do decide to buy the expansions and you gotta choose one first, go with PoF. Don't do that. Play the game in chronological order, or else you will spoil the fun of the story and will experience story gaps:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Story_Journal Or they can play how they want because they are paying for it and Arenanet has created a system where they can if they want. Seriously... such gatekeeping. Much wow. Good advice is gatekeeping now....LOL, that's what I was thinking. :+1: But hey, perhaps some folks these days enjoy reading a book starting at the beginning, skipping to the end, then proceeding with the middle part. Who know? ;) Unfortunately, there's a built-in story gap where LWS1 used to be, so jumping in somewhere other than LWS2 won't be too much more confusing. Or you can confuse yourself even more going out of the chronological order. After all, there is a fan-made movie that covers the gap that is Season 1, so no excuses.
  11. I consider this to be a rather unnecessary suggestion. One title is more than enough.

  13. The firefly parts always look diffrent colors depending on the light angle and environmental light color.
  14. I'm still missing the implementation of "Champion of Orr", although Orr's last king bestowed that title upon us.
  15. I don't mind there being many more. What I hope for the most, though, is new professions.
  16. Champion of the Gods, for the nostalgia and hard work of filling the Hall of Monuments 100%Honors in Applied Jumping, because I'm proud of it?Kingslayer, because I am definitely proud of that oneThe Blazing Light, dittoAcolyte of Dwayna, because my Guardian is a Priest of DwaynaI'm rich, you know, the perfect title for a NobleEx Machina, the perfect title for an Engineer
  17. Story, exploration, adventure. Those are the three (worthwile) pillars of content. Everything else is either a nice byproduct (e.g., new mounts, new elite specs) or a mere grind due to a lack of actual content (like the current Stampede). Doing dailies, for instance, isn't content. Killing mobs for achievements or for the hope of some rare reward isn't content, either. Neither is farming for gold.
  18. Really annoying to constantly get stuck inside doors, walls, etc using Skills 2 + 3. I had to restart several times. Is there a way to fix this?
  19. I am standing next to Matias Jernmus and the Revelers, and they are just performing the song and dance at the Great Lodge! So they are a physically present choir, unlike others wrongly stated. The orchestra is missing, though.
  20. This based on what? Here's an interesting read (one of many): https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/are-virtual-reality-headsets-safe-for-children/ They have not been on the market and widely used enough for me to present you with longterm studies of scientific data, but I can tell you that if you use them a lot, your visual perception of reality, of depth and movement, will change over time (which can be especially dangerous when navigating a vehicle in road traffic). Eyes and brain are naturally connected, so consequently there will be a negative effect on both. It's the same with watching movies in 3D for too long. it can lead to headaches, which are only a harbinger of worse to come if you overdo it. This can't be good.
  21. The current VR technology is bad for the eyesight and for the brain. Wouldn't recommend using it, to be honest.
  22. Because precursors have no special visual effects and footfalls attached to them, hence are easier converted into a holographic skin.
  23. All you need to do is stay north where the several ledges underneath the plateau are, fly down to a ledge to let the Skyscale refill its endurance, then head back up, bit by bit. You can even switch to the springer to get up, no need to use the Skyscale. In order to get that high, you choose a high point west in Melandru's domain, get on a Skyscale or Griffon there (with the Griffon, you simply dive and speed boost, then skyrocket up to get to one of those ledges) and do as described before. It really doesn't take a genius to get up there ;) , just patience and the right technique. :)
  24. I don't think 12 EUR (or ~280 gold) are "cheap". Also, the value of friendships formed and now lost after so many years cannot be expressed in Gems or gold... call me sentimental. ;)
  25. If only I knew what you were talking about to begin with... If this is PvP related, which I assume, you might find more player interest in that forum section. ;)
