  1. I also like this fight as well as my whole static and pretty much whole raid community, omg are u lying? 😮
  2. Nope, wiki didn't lie. The drop rate is pretty low, but you can get them from crystallized supply caches. I got 5 of them this way when I was making my legendary armor few months ago.
  3. 9 out of 23 bosses have a toughness based aggro, so less than half. Rest has other tanking mechanics like random fixations, special action keys or proximity or no tanking at all. Besides, 99% pug groups still run minstrel gear on tanks which has way more toughness than your celestial or trailblazer. Celestial builds like druid, RR renegade or qfb exist and used in raid comps. But yeah, this is what killed raids. Also you know, you can buy full exotic berserker armor for like 20ish g on TP and there, you have another set to raid with. But yes yes i know, it's toxic to require people to get specific gear for raids, my bad. Thank you for quality content to my morning coffee 🙂
  4. Ah okay, didn't think about that. Well commanders should just explain to people what to do instead of believing that gatekeeping will make the meta succeed. Unless they themselves don't know what to do and just think that having exp raiders or specific roles will help them. Sad to see that. But I also kinda get that knowing how some people just don't listen to commands or never read chat.
  5. They can kick you from squad but you can still remain on the same map, so it shouldn't make any difference to you, no? Not every successfull squad is gatekeeping people or asking for LI/KP or specific roles. I've done this meta 3 times with some friends and all runs were successful. We were around 20-25 people organized on voice chat with explanations and 3 commanders - the rest were random people from lfg, we gave them explanations in chat. I'm happy to see those changes tho.
  6. but you realize that sudoku is used instead of seppuku intentionally as a meme?
  7. I want wvw legendary armor because it looks nice, but I hate this game mode and I don't want to do it, but I still want the armor, so can they make it earnable in other game mode? I would love to drop one from pocket raptors, they are the true bosses of the game /s
  8. Have you actually tried raids or do you just repeat what people are jabbering about? Raids are not hard. It's a myth being repeated over and over again by people who didn't make any effort to try them. I come from a raid training server with 8k+ members who somehow managed to enter raids, not being kicked, clear bosses and get their achievements, armor, whatever they needed. And there are multiple servers/guilds like that. But instead of joining and actually trying, people choose to join random lfgs and expect to be welcomed with arms wide open with their openworld autoattack build with random gear stats like it's some openworld boss. Nice memeeeeeeeee
  9. Wait, have you never done T4+cms fractals? Because they are exactly like raids - asking for kp, using dps meters and kicking people when they are underperforming. Fun and patient people? You can meet them in raids. Toxic people? You can meet them in fractals too, even more often than in raids. Same with strike missions. Just because you personally did not encounter them in any other content, it doesn't mean they don't exist. And just because you personally met some toxicity in raids (if you even raided and not just based your opinion on some reddit threads crying that raids are toxic and unaccessible to casuals), doesn't mean that most of raid playerbase is like that because it's not. Toxicity and unnaccessibility of raids is a myth, and everyone who put the smallest effort to actually try them out, so basically getting exotic gear with proper stats, good build and joined any raid training discord, can tell you this. Someone here earlier compared raid selling to drug dealing? It's more like a free market, you have a demand so you supply. You have people who can't be bothered to spend few hours per week actively playing and getting LI for legendary armor, but are willing to pay someone to carry them? Well then you also have people who will do that for you, for a price adequate to their experience and time needed to be spent on it. It's like, idk, some people grow carrots in their garden and some go buy them from the store. So I am not really sure how raid sellers are creating toxcity and elitism? They are not the ones kicking you from pugs when you don't pull your weight. And in case you don't know, it's not "raid" sellers, it's just sellers, as they sell every possible content in the game - dmrs, strikes, fractals, raids, story achievements, collections, skyscale material farming, wvw reward tracks....anything you can possibly imagine is sellable. People think it's only raid sellers because they usually advertise in raid lfg. But with raids gone, they will still be out there, selling other content. Noone is forced to buy so this whole hate on sellers is just hilarious.
  10. Not really. You can have alacren with jalis (road), stab from druid's spirit of nature (limited use tho, only 1 stab per phase), chronos mantra of concentration, aegis from any kind of guard.... Yes, firebrand with syg is very popular in pugs but there are other stab/aegis sources easily available.
  11. Yep, exactly. But now he argues that video is still not valid because it was made in 2021 and not 2014 :)))) Just drop it, discussion with him about it seems to be pointless. Btw there is a new video, lvl 76 W4 run 🙂but I bet it still doesn't prove that powercreep is not what made raids possible 🙂
  12. And who literally does speedruns? Because I only see Mela who used to be in SC and did speedruns before. Teapot is organizing speedrun tournaments but not participating himself. The rest is just random players from his discord.
  13. The original argument was "Raids wouldn't even be possible without all the powercreep to begin with". So I link a video showing there is no power creep needed to succesfully complete a raid, hell you don't even have to be lvl 80 or elite spec. What do you not understand?
  14. aaand you need chrono with healscourge for that? ever hear of a quickbrand + alacren?
  15. May I interest you with that video of 78 level core specs doing whole W1 without hitting enrage timers or gorse updrafts? It's not about the classes and power creep. https://youtu.be/RgPz0qw7vt8
  16. Oh wow. the feelings of those poor players got hurt because they didn't get a new skin. Let me get this, Arenanet adding Legendary Armor in Raids exclusively, made some players feel forgotten or that the developers don't care about them. Because of a skin (and a so called gear tier that they won't use anyway)Now I wonder how players that get zero content for literal years would feel. You know, ANY content, something playable, something to DO, not a skin. And someone dares to say they feel neglected and abandoned because they didn't get legendary armor. Roll eyes.Sure, the players that get literal zero content for years have every right to feel neglected as well. Being neglected is not fun. So, now all of us can feel the same way. I'm sure that it makes the game overall better [/sarcasm]But seriously, two wrongs don't make a right. Honestly, I'd feel really good if I was getting tons of content, new things to work towards, the entire game centered around me, even if ONE thing was out of my reach. You said, Anet "forgotten" about them, even though they kept giving them new content every couple of months, that's a weird way to be "forgotten" but I guess we have a very different definition for words like "forgotten", "neglected" and "abandoned".667 days since the last raid release :PEPEHANDS:
  17. Virtues is a situational traitline which is only worth taking over Radiance (if playing DH) if you can mantain permanent Aegis. If you know that your Aegis will be stripped and you won't be able to reapply it, play Radiance DH instead. If you play DH, by taking virtues traitline you are losing 25% Crit Chance from Righteous Instincts and 10% from Radiant Power, so you need to remember to adjust your gear. If you play Core guard, you are not losing Radiance traitline, so you can still use the same gear as normal DH build. Most common scenarios where it will be beneficial to take this traitline as DH would be either having a Boonthief, who can provide permanent 11 boons (including very important Aegis which is your 20% dmg increase), or having another Guardian in your party who will bring "Retreat!" to provide Aegis for you. If you don't have any of those in your squad, you will most likely not be able to maintain permanent Aegis on yourself, as you are only able to apply it on yourself via Shield of Courage. Remember that you will lose Aegis everytime you get hit by a mechanic, for example autoattack from the boss or mechanics like Gorseval's slam, Mind Crush on Deimos (even if standing in the bubble), purple orbs on CA and many more. Shield of Courage has a very long cooldown so it's not a reliabile Aegis source. I would also not advise you to swap any of your utility skills as a Dragohunter to "Retreat!" as the damage loss resulting from that is just not worth it in my opinion and you will probably be better off just playing Radiance traitline (or playing Core Guardian with "Retreat!" at this point, as you won't lose as much damage by taking it unlike Dragonhunter). Playing Core guard allows you to keep Radiance traitline, which can be used to signet share (via Perfect Inscriptions + Bane Signet), which is useful when you stack guardians/power classes in organized grops in speedkills (for example you will see it in most Adina speedkills). Given the above, in pugs or less organized groups virtues DH will usually be only worth taking with a Boonthief present, so on bosses like MO, Adina. Core Guard can be used in pug scenario for example on Gorseval, CA, but then remember to take retreat to reapply aegis to yourself. In organized groups it depends what your squad needs - if it's worth to run signet share, then you will play core guard, you just want highest personal dmg then you will play virtues DH (given that you have perma aegis). If you can't afford gear variations for virtues DH (thief runes, accuracy sigils, assassin pieces, depening if you have spotter or not), you can just play Core Guard instead as it uses standard DH gear.
  18. Yeah, no. If noone wants to teach people I wonder why my raid training discord has 7000 members, 15 official training squads per week (in peak of corona we had over 40 squads per week) + few unofficial training/progress raiding squads per day, multiple commanders spending their free time teaching people raids, dozens of people answering raid related questions and giving advice every single hour. So 7000 people are supposed to be covered by 15 official training runs? Is this NA raid academy? Because the last time I checked, I saw tons of withdrawn community training pings and even progression pings because of lack of interest. If you're Eu, good for you. I can play just fine by the way, the issue is finding people to play with when I have time. No, 7000 people is what we gathered since this discord was founded years ago. People getting trained, then they move on to train others or they form statics to progress further with ppl on the same lvl. We keep getting new trainees every day. It's EU, Crossroads Inn. Some people run during the day, some at the evenings, some late night, so there are always some ppl with matching shedules.
  19. 99% of the time all you have to do is listen to voice commands, you don't even have to use your mic. If asked, answer in game chat.
  20. How would you fix them? I would fix players instead, who talk about this huge entry barrier for raids, while they don't understand it's the endgame content and autoattacking in green random gear is not what you are expected to do here, who refuse to gear properly and join training runs to actually learn the content instead of whining for easy mode raids. Raids are easy.
