  1. More than a 100% increase on a weapon CD is wild. Offhand dagger is straight useless on non Quickdraw builds now. Usually I stay pretty optimistic on Anets balance, but this one is CRAZY

  3. You can't grind games as support and expect to climb elo. You're a liability when you're the best player on the team(cant carry worse players), but will have more impact when you're the worst player on your team, or the lobby is balanced. Essentially, you should be choosing which games you go as support, also taking map into consideration on top of who's in your game for max value. a couple good players on your team and it's skyhammer = great time to go support
  4. All traits with random interval boon application should be reworked IMO. It's too random in timing to mean anything. Support guards take Stalwart Defender 100% of the time and Strength in Numbers is essentially a dead trait with 0 player interaction. It's good they reworked it. Traits should be transformative to playstyle, not some ransom boon generation with 30% uptime. I'd call it a buff to a dead trait. 100% not a huge nerf.
  5. Whatever your actual rank is, if you start spamming support scrapper, you'll tank two divisions down, probably. So g3->g1 probably. It just doesn't function properly right now. Gets absolutely destroyed by condis and can't handle burst strike damage either. Has unreliable rezzing, Lacks stunbreaks, defensive CDs, trait dyssynergy, etc.

This is my Condi Engi build for PvP. it's pretty freakin' strong IMO and will be way better once the patch hits(static shot, HGH, Relic of Vass buffs) you can swap out carrion for sages if you want more healing or forge rune for more toughness. on patch day, ill be trying out the build with elixer U instead of slick shoes and also med kit + sages ammy.

  13. yea these change are no where close enough to make support scrapper viable in PvP. engi needs like 8 more reworks on dog kitten traits, most of them grand master traits. elixer r and toss elixer r are both kittening awful. elixer r needs to be a stunbreak. i have no idea why it still isnt. toss elixer r is a joke for rezzing. its slow as kitten and doesnt provide any protection to rez or remove any condis. its easily outcleaved 100% of the time. HGH is still trash and support engi doesnt even use it. Iron Blooded needs a buff or rework. why are support engi traits broken up into 3 different trees? it makes 0 sense. absolutely no synergy. Health Insurance needs to be moved to the tools traitline. med kid has literally 0 elixers so why is it in alchemy. med kits heal is a toolbelt skill, so it should be in tools. soothing detonation is in inventions, but needs tools trait for max synergy, but then you miss buffed med kit from alchemy. it makes 0 sense. this is why support scrapper sucks and will continue to suck in PvP. support engi works best with shield offhand, so please buff clunky mace or give sword some utility.

  15. Ranger has gotten buffs for like the past 5 patches dude... you think buffing a class every time creates good balance? Most of the pet buffs are pretty significant. Pets in general will be doing a lot more dmg now and smokescale was too good to begin with. Instead of nerfing the stealth, they nerfed the CC, so be grateful. The stealth is way more important. Smokescale being taken 100% of the time, regardless of spec, is a clear indication of balancing issues. Ranger has too much CC to begin with, IMO. I can see these pet changes being pretty good for side node Ranger specs. A lot of condi pets are getting strong buffs and I'm sure there will be some new combinations next ranked cycle. Tldr: stop being such a doomer and wait to playtest Also how are the mesmer changes too much? They literally only touched condi mes, which is complete dog water ATM, outside of dom/illusions mirage which isn't even getting buffed this patch. (Condi)Mesmers main struggle has been teamfighting and slight increases to team support on condi specs will help alleviate that. Side node mesmer is also completely outclassed right now, so all of these changes seem good. I also really like where they implemented the changes in the talent trees. It really forces you to make hard build decisions, which is great IMO. A great example of this is putting more clone generation in inspi traitline. Clone generation was support condi chronos main weakness and they addressed it. Using 0-1 clone shatters all the time feels ike kitten on support chrono.
  16. The relic buffs are 100% not pointless. All of those changes look insanely good. Relic of Vass in particular will see a huge surge in play on condi harb. It's a 1k+ poison on every elixer use. Condi holo could possibly make great use out of it as well.
  17. Yea that's the point. Renegade unfortunately sucks. Herald and vindi however will now have piercing shortbow. It's much better on those two specs with the piercing

  20. On a side note, they finally fixed Swindlers Equilibrium after literally YEARS of it being bugged. Literally Maybe bladesworn will have this for the next 3 years
  21. Pretty much, yea. If you can multiclass/spec, you will gain rating. It's just so easy to counter pick.
  22. Sic em sniper has always been good VS deadeye. Some specs just have natural counters and you need to get over this fact. That being said, there are things you can do on Deadeye to mitigate the match-up. Most soulbeasts don't take signets, meaning you can block it with smoke wall. Longbow soulbeast burst is on a timer, meaning you can kite it out and then engage(deadeye dmg has no timer). Rangers don't have vertical mobility, minus untamed and porting via smoke assault, so kite upwards or down. Some things to think about vs soulbeast. - triple stunbreak, including SHADOW PORTAL. This utility makes avoiding sic em much easier and increases your ability to out rotate rangers. - dagger storm is your go to get out of jail free card vs One Wolf Pack. - map selection. Sic em soulbeast(longbow) excels on Capricorn and Colliseum to a lesser extent. Perhaps don't play deadeye on these maps vs longbow soulbeast. - as stated before, Signet of the Hunt is seldom taken on Sic em longbow builds, so you need quick reactions to drop your smoke wall. - kneeling burst. I'd highly recommend to use kneeling 3 round burst vs unsuspecting rangers as it's way more condensed dmg compared to standing 2 spam, especially with quickness. - Thieves Guild. Strong cheese ability to kill your target. Underrated skill and extremely lethal. - stealth/map awareness. You have way more stealth than ranger, so use it to get the alpha strike on unsuspecting rangers. Try engaging them when they already have a target. You must be aware of rangers location on the map.
