  1. This isn't required. What has happened in your case, is that you followed the supply Caravan just before the North Meta changed to the Attack the Ice Citadel Stage. When this happens the Caravan despawns. However if you do a search on the wiki for "Special Mission: Bullets and Beans" it will show you an info box. If you look carefully the words "allied supply caravans" is a link to the info page, which is at https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Escort_the_supply_caravan_to_the_Citadel_Watch_Camp You will see that "This event will keep spawning while the Alluring Sabotage map meta event is running; it starts when the meta event begins and repeats after a short interval after the last escort completes or fails. Once Alluring Sabotage is complete (when the last Dominion tribune of the meta is slain), any currently running escort event fails and will no longer spawn." So simply head over to the Forward Camp Waypoint as the North Meta starts and the Supply Caravan will spawn alongside the waypoint after a short period. Normally you get about three to four caravans spawning one after another before the meta flips (dependant on the speed of the players). You can complete this achievement in one North Meta.
  2. The only character I've noticed this on is my Norn Guardian. One place I've seen it happen a few times is at the Krait Tower in Nonmoa Lake, Timberline Falls, as my character climbs up the wooden spars making up the tower.
  3. Ok lets play realism. RandomNecromancer - Rise my minions. Dead thing on floor - oozes and doesn't move RandomNecromancer - I said Rise my minions... Dead thing on floor - oozes and doesn't move whilst flies buzz all around it. Realism, in a MMORPG, well it really doesn't have a place does it?
  4. It is a little bit more than that with arcing. Biggest mistake anyone can make is to stay away from a Ranger with a longbow, particularly those set up to do high burst damage at max range (don't forget there is a Ranger trait that does more damage the further the arrow flies). Get closer. As a Ranger main the biggest problems I have is with Condition builds who get in my face.
  5. So shared map completion/experience/rewards. Call me cynical but it wouldn't be used by multi-boxers in a squad to park multiple characters in a safe spot in the zone whilst one character did the map and from which they all reaped the rewards, including the possibility of multiple black lions keys for the same person, would it?
  6. No. It would be a waste of time and resources. Most Necromancers never move from the same spot in out of the way places. It would be impossible to see them amongst all the other hoards of minions surrounding them.....
  7. A week long April Fool event where everyone gets only autoattack. All other skills and equipment are disabled including healing, downed state, pets and traits. Everyone gets armed with a stick (non pointy) which hits for 10 damage. Everyone has 100 HP. Should be easy to balance.
  8. Thank you both for pointing me to the cause. Yes Necromancer has an underwater weapon with Superior Sigil of Bloodlust on it too, whilst the Ranger (and the Mesmer) do not.
  9. Nothing on the wiki about this and I've done a search on the Forum using the search feature but it didn't bring anything up. I have a Necromancer who uses an Axe/Warhorn as one of his weapon sets. The Warhorn has the Superior Sigil of Bloodlust in it. Now the sigil functions fine, each time I kill a foe it gives me +10 Power each time up to the max of 25 stacks. However if I build up this stack on land and enter water. The stack remains. When I do this with my Ranger who has the same sigil fitted to his Great-sword, the stack of 25 +10 power gets removed. I've tested both characters in the same zone (Sandswept Isles) and the Necromancer keeps the stack when entering and exiting water, yet the Ranger doesn't. I've also equipped a sceptre with the same Sigil on my Mirage and it exhibits the same behaviour as my Ranger. I've looked at the Traits of the Necromancer that I have equipped and nothing seems to be affecting the stacks from the Bloodlust Sigil. So is this a bug?
  10. Player 1 - OMG OMG OMG WOOOO OMG Anet have just updated the Gem Store. You can now buy a clicky button for 50,000 gems that gives you absolutely everything in the game. Player 2 - Are you going to buy it? Player 1 - Of course 20 Seconds later Player 1 - I've bought it and clicked on it. Player 2 - So what did you get? Player 1 - Everything. Every Hero Point, every Mastery, every Achievement Point. World Map Completion on all characters, all weapon skins and armour, every character boosted to level 80, unlocked every mini, every backpack, every mount skin, every glider, every Legendary and Legendary Armour, every Title. Everything. I haz everything in the game, even a Mop of Destruction. Player 2 - Woooo you iz Leet. 10 Seconds later Player 1 - This is boring, there is nothing to do.........
  11. Can we also move the respawn on the checkpoint slightly so that when you die and return to the checkpoint it doesnt automatically cause the player to interact with the Portal to leave the zone thereby popping up the dialogue window asking you if you want to leave.
  12. Ok this is weird. I've just had a third run now at the Brisbane Wildlands Destroyer of the Crystal Fields with my Warrior. It is specced as per the Metabattle Fractal core bannerslave. Now yesterday as I mentioned above this Boss took 17 minutes to kill on my Thief. Although I didn't time it on my Ranger it took ages, probably in excess of 15 minutes. On my Warrior just now? It took 6 minutes. These are all solo plays in a private instance. Now I know damage output varies by class/builds etc., but these time variations are just ??? Any explaination @Fire Attunement.9835

  14. Erm no it hasn't. I don't know what you did but the Dragon bosses in Private Instances still have an absolute ton of hit points. I did the one in Metrica Province earlier with my Ranger and just done it with my Thief. Both Solo. Both with full ascended marauder weapons/armour/trinkets etc. All aug slots filled with +5 power augs and in the case of rings they have three aug slots. So whilst the damage isn't the top glass cannon, it is more than respectable. GS and Legendary Bow on Ranger. Legendary Dagger/Pistol and SB on Thief. Go take a look at my Combat logs if you want. You will see how much damage was done to the boss and see how many HP it had. Rediculous. Edit - Just completed the Brisbane Wildlands Destroyer of the Crystal Fields on my Thief. 17 minutes to kill the boss. Edit 2 - Just completed the Gendarran Fields Destroyer of the Great Bridge - 18m49s just for that part, never mind the bit prior to it.

Please let us know which classes killed you as a Ranger and also which classes you were unable to kill. I look forward to this with some popcorn :) hmm thief vs ranger xD u know there is more then just d/p thief right? it doesnt really matter to in open field ranger doesnt stand much of a chance vs thief but okay if u think so ;)ranger isnt a easy class to learn unless u mean huehue i use sic em, quickening zephyr, one wolf pack pew pew pew ye works great from tower wall outside tower i mean i know ranger sounds easy and it might be if ur such a fool to die to one constantly but when u face somewhat better player ull see ranger isnt all about pew pew longbow fun. I main a Ranger. Clearly the sarcasm in my post was lost on you.

  18. Technically, that is great, as Maguuma loves to ignore everything but SMC and rangers and necros bombing from SMC's fortified walls is quite effective. Weird how the walls of smc extend right up to the feet of the legendary defenders sometimes, eh? kitten, that's an oof. I dont get it? Legendary defenders, SMC? Am I missing something here ?Like saying "SMC "walls" reach the spawn area" What? But they dont? Still missing something.I think what the person who mentioned that the walls of SM extend right up to the feet of legendary defenders was trying to put across was the fact that, contrary to the meme like "pew pew rangers stand on walls all the time", rangers often chase down people right to their spawn points and that they don't just stand on walls.

  21. To the OP, I main a Soulbeast Ranger and I mostly roam solo, granted I'm not one of those glass builds. One of the things I hate is those un-killable Elementalists who roam around WvW. I mean I unload my Rapid fire and it gets reflected all over the place and then they have the temerity to attack me. I keep hitting them with my greatsword and do great damage, then all of a sudden they heal and gradually wear me down and kill me. I've not even mentioned how they can disengage and within seconds remount and off they shoot whilst I'm still in combat. ANET devs must be aware of all that but they obviously doesnt care! How did they manage to build such a nice game but then ruined it with such a bad balance. Can you see how this works? Whilst the above is meant as rather tongue in cheek plagiarism of your original post, as others have said there are reasons why Rangers and Thieves roam and are a popular choice for doing so. They're good at it. Here is another news flash for you. Both classes aren't particularly wanted in Zergs. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to you to find out that players are going to do something rather than just sitting at the WP. Its called Roaming. They have the tools to sort out lone players (unless that lone player is good). Here is another one for you. If you are out roaming solo prancing around on a mount enemy players will try to kill you. This is the whole point of the game mode. If you don't like this leave the WvW map, the Portal exit is that way>>>>>> There are counters to Rangers and Thieves, if there weren't every player would be playing them since they would be un-killable. It is the same with every single class.

So they heard kids voices and decided to kitten on ranger and apparently now other classes are not op cause to others people like me and many others we are "whinning" correct ? it wasn't just a ranger thing. Happened to quite a few builds. Unfortunately those builds kept others in check. Power builds got hit, condi builds didnt (as much) and due to them not following through on their balance cadence and 'tweaks' to outliers, we now have the joke that is wvw and pvp.

In answer to the question the OP posed, what happened is that players whined a lot about some classes (but not theirs no they weren't overperforming nope) in the mistaken belief they knew best for the game. Some "experts" were put in charge of some nerfs oops sorry balance patches which resulted in 'overperforming' builds shifting from some classes to others and then due to a number of reasons, so called "frequent" patches to sort the whole mess out failed to materialise. Welcome back to the game we all deserve.
