They did the same with GW1, at every new release we got a new loggin screen/music. And I'm pretty sure it was the case for WoW (haven't played that long tough). Games released in 2004-2005. So far for being modern and innovative... It's free advertisement for the new xpac. Every time you log in, you're reminded to buy EoD...

I'm happy to see other people enjoying the work of the dev. All 4 new maps are great but Kaineng is by far the best map of GW2 IMO. It gave me some Cyberpunk 2077 flair. While the instance you mentioned reminded me of Bioshock. So yeah kudos to Anet Team 📣

I main Mesmer ... as soon as I logged in yesterday ... I unlocked the Virtuoso, picked some traits which seemed to fit good together, equipped my berserker gear and an ascended dagger (so far for preparing myself for EoD) and I directly played the expansion, loved it so far... I didn't notice there was a balance patch until the next day and honestly.. I didn't give a s*** about it. The new content is mainly OPEN WORLD PVE ... Guys, you can get through while spamming auto-attacks. I can't understand why some people have to play a brand new expansion with old builds we saw for almost 5 years.

I hope you realize you can't block people IRL? Because if so many people trigger you in a game like GW2... then good luck for getting out of the house... I mean... some people playing the game may definitively be plain dumb but they are usually not evil. Based on your tumblr you are 21 yo... you will meet tons of people who have different views on life than yours and... (IMO) tolerance is also about being okay with it.

ok....glad to hear your expertise 😅 I don't think Anet expect to recruit lots of new players to buy the game, but rather to keep the current player base active and invested in the game (because that means more cash flow with the gem store). A new (PVE?) method to unlock the legendary armor is in my opinion a good way to encourage players to delve into the new content for many months. That's probably why they will give everybody a free weapon precursor.

A 4th method might be a good selling point for EoD content.

I think that's the whole point of this mount: offering a significant advantage for players who decide to cooperate. It's not like it's complicated to group with someone. You want to play selfishly on your own? no jade-tech canons for you...

indeed. Can we just highlight currently > 50% of the poll votes are for A/S tier? I like what they showed us... the gothic ruins with stained glass definitively reminds me of the old map... Dears haters, can you specifically say what is in your opinion missing? I looked back at old GW1 videos and screenshots: basically echowald is the combo petrified forest+gothic building with candle lights+some ferns

well the personal story isn't the current selling point of GW2. I don't mind if the Tengus start at level 80.

yeah... it seems that many of us got blocked today because of GeforceNow. There is a reddit post about it.

same here (EU), it began since the last hotfix... so I guess it's not a client issue?
