Maybe everyone else was waiting for someone to set something up in LFG? Did you set something up and advertise it?

I would very much prefer the current PvP to be improved rather than implementing PvP in PvE. GW2 already has this segmented, and for good reason. It should remain so.

I thought long and hard about this outfit before deciding not to buy it. The shoulder piece was part of that decision. Otherwise, it seems ok but not interesting enough for me in the long run. I didn't think that I had any characters that would wear it and look good.

Except buying the stuff in f2p games is more expensive than just giving us a sub for it. For example, I have nearly millions of gold in other MMOs. In GW2, bag space and gold and crafting and flying mounts are way more expensive to buy than if they had them for a sub. The trade-off is that they’re optional. Perhaps, however in F2P games you can choose when to spend your money and how much of it you want to spend whereas with a sub model game you MUST spend the money every month or you will get locked out of whatever the sub provides. Maybe in the long run, subscriptions are more expensive? I know that in my case, it would be because I don't often spend money unless there is something in the game that I really want.

Then do that. Every month, on the first day of the month, pay Anet $20 and buy gems. Or go crazy and pay them $50 every month. It cannot be any more simple.

This 100%. ESO's model is nice. I would pay a monthly sub for Extra Inv or increase inv craftingCertain # of Gems per monthLiving Worlds always unlocked (this doesn't really affect me but for new players who never bought them it may be nice).Maybe template space across all toons? This would be 100% optional, Guild wars would still be free to play but for those who want to support arenanet and get a little in return it would be a nice addition. As has been said many times in other subscription threads, you can do this right now. Just pay monthly for gems, buy the storage, LW will remain unlocked when you log in monthly (to get said gems) and you can purchase templates. No need to ask Anet to change their business model.

I wish Anet would fix the existing pets first. Adding new pets with the same broken AI doesn't really do anything for me.

Disagree with the OP. I don't have the unique GW1 pets because I didn't earn them. Players who have them did earn them. If players want them now, then they should go to GW1 and earn them.

All of those games have subscription models which probably bring in a lot more money which would allow those studios to have the resources available to make these kinds of changes. I really wish people would stop using these games as comparisons to GW2.

Voting NO to any subscription option for GW2 in any form whatsoever.

You are right and that is how things should be. But in all my time my experience with pugs has been mostly like this. Very few respectfull groups. But thank you for the kind words. As an older player (who enjoys engaging with all the content, not just rushing through as fast as possible for the loot), I just don't even try most content that people run in groups continually, because there is so much rudeness, or if it takes one minute longer than it should they rage quit...I really emotionally engage with the game, and this is not fun. I have had similar experiences which also keeps me from wanting to play certain content.

Take a break, confident in that your character name will still be there when you get back.

Perhaps their data and metrics say differently? What you may consider "desirable" in an MMO may not be what their data suggests. To claim that their decisions have been "utterly stupid" is ignorant (meaning uninformed, not as an insult) as no one here has all of the facts that were available when those decisions were made.
