  1. The actual damage is around 23k with autoskill pet active, without is around 21k (yeah, Mecha lost around 2k from AARocket change with this patch). So, instead of asking nerf to 1 class for literally nothing in return, when are you going to ask for some up to the other classes who need it? (like for example warrior class (no elite Bladesworn), or revenant as herald or vindicator? (no renegade elite) and so on?
  2. Don't you think that is exactly what the DEVS want for the game before the Steam launch? Getting players from that place happy (they are full casual there, the bar for changing game if is "problematic" (game is too hard, difficult to get in end game party and so on) is set mildly low considering thousands of games you can choose on Steam. For sure there is a plan, or the debut on Steam could literally destroy the game............. and i want to avoid that ending. (Expecially after 10 years)
  3. I Explained with test the unreal 28k dps (the real are more around 22k-23k) but the people who pursue it, didn't even bother with it. So, Virtuoso literally devastate the other dps classes with a decent rotation, a big dps, ranged, some good survival skill and is used a lot in high level contents where elite matter........... so what? You see me go against it because is better than a Mecha? No, i simple apreciate the class and hope other class get good as it, same for the rest. You have problem with an easy to use class, with Devs who try to easy the game for the Steam launch and get as many people as they can from it (with decent or positive review for the game) or use Mecha (the robot) as the figurehead of the game at the starting login? Don't ask nerf, ask upgrade for the rest (we lost 4k flat dps from the change in banner, skills and spirit thx to patch 28/06, don't see a problem in some up as of now).

Tested........ a classic scam like with the amazing 30k dps Mecha rifle with 11111 or the 25k rifle 11111 without boons on you and no malus condis on the golem, the 28k dps is the usual SCAM number (and i lost 30 minutes and changing equipment for nothing) that pop around. With the skill on Autopet on, with the equip i used for the other tests, as i thought, you do like 23k. So with the skill in auto, you do around 2k extra dps if you get all the things right, but normally, the dps was more 1.5k extra (always under 23k) in many rounds, so i think it depend on the reset of Orbital Strike between the round as a counter. No 28k at all, a simple 1.5k extra dps as a constant with sometimes, spike at 2k if all is good. And you lose precious CC and in other cases boons casted "smart" for it. Testing extra time, i noticed that i can increase the burst damage of the first check (200k hp golem) literally by an extra 3k if i set "Orbital strike" to tick from the golem and the char after the start of the combat (literally timing it perfectly from a previous fight ready in the barrel (queue) to be casted), so i think the big number was really up artificially just for doing it (like people did with Bladesworn 55k or higher bench), the classic scam test to get hype on the numbers.
  5. You don't activare Autopet option for a test about dps as a function that wasn't in game before and was implemented mostly for Ranger; the results come out invalid. And as i wrote in another post, you use skills that are your CC or your boons randomly with that active, when you need to use them during precise fight moment for them to be usefull and not wasted and in cooldown when you really need them. (is a Golem immovable that don't react, is for testing purpose, in the real game, you literally never reach that damage if you don't play "smart"). You are literally sayng automating skills give you more dps........ well, i think is totally normal, for every class, no? And if possible, please, write the traits and equip you use, so i can do the test too, for reference, thx. PS. Will test it with the build i use normally so i get some number too (extra work to do).
  6. Dear Karagee, you need to see the forest instead of a branch before your eyes. You do 21k dps using the skill "MODIFIED AMMUNITION" that use all the condis on the Golem, without considering that on a normal champ fight, you will never have all the condis you get on the golem, but less, so, your dps get down too. (and 21k is the ideal dps against an immovable target who don't react) Second point, your big dps is given from the AARocket "Orbital strike" attack, unfortunatelly, now is slow to activate and need more time, plus, if the boss move, you miss easy the skill (cast time and more). Third, you need full boons, so you need to be near the group for receive them, not the best for a range class who bet a lot of his utility on be range and running around. Virtuoso is better on every points (in raid is the dps more choosen atm, Mecha is used, if all good, for Alac, so no rifle, sorry and low dps from the changed gear needed) I post facts and testing, and i don't bother with some pet autoattack change done for the ranger for skill that need to be casted on determinated timing to be usefull against a boss (the skill give CC, boons and more, i don't think you are in a good state spamming them when you don't need them (and set them on cooldown), don't know, but this is my impression)
  7. With the patch, Mecha power dps just lost around 2k dps flat, and you are talking about a feature that was done for ranger?
  8. The part about autopet skill is based for Ranger........... BUT i find the autoattack more of a problem instead of a bonus, cause a lot of the skills are CC or "boons" that need to be used "smart" for maximaze the use. Autouse for many of those skills is more of a problem instead of an help. And AFK will be the same, i see literally no change there. (afk is always AFK)
  9. In the last 3 Patch, from 28/06 to now, Mecha was only nerfed. In the 28/06 patch the robot LOST the entire explosion trait that had access before for a single AARocket skill who could now only tick with the ranged robot setup...... at the same time, various condi skill duration were reduced. (but they changed rifle, ok, but was a change, not a buff to existing skill). With the 01/07 hot fix, rifle 1 was nerfed, all 3 type of robot trait get their autoattack skill and 1 skill nerfed...... (we passed from near 25k dps to around 23k dps 11111 rifle) And we arrive at today, patch 02/08, where we have a nerf to the AARocket skill for the robot (tick every 6 seconds) and a change to tick for the engi (only missile proyectile now), and a bug fix to the rifle...... all in all, we passed from around 23k dps to around 21k dps 11111 rifle........... test done full buffed, against the Golem with full condis on (so even extra dps for the Mecha) I see only nerfs to Mecha in the lastest patches, now i need to wait Snowcrow test to see if Mecha can reach at least 35k, but i don't think so with the -2k with the last patch. (all data tested with same configuration for less possible errors)
  10. Granade 1 do 10% more damage then rifle 1....... this is the patch, before, was doing like 30% more damage and was really bad for the rifle. From testing i did, Mecha with the change to AARocket lost around 2k dps (tested doing 1111 rifle mecha full boons and full condis against the golem, i lost around 2k dps on it).

The real damage of the Rifle mecha 1111111 is now 2k less then before the patch, i got from 23k to less than 21k, all the same as before (i don't use autopet attack, cause i didn't used them before....... same basic, or results come out wrong). So, with the nerf to AARocket for the robot (6 secs) and for the player (only missile hit), even with extra juice to the rifle, Mecha lost around 2k dps. We need to wait Snowcrow new test to see where Mecha rank now....... but is low, really low; Vindicator 11111 greatsword with impossible odd active do more damage now.
  12. Oh, right, just remembered something that can create problems in game. Check what DX you are using, try to use dx9 if you have many crashes, expecially on old maps, cause dx11 is more delicate and crash more in some events. With the new patch, they activated dx11 as default for new accounts, so check it, could easily be the reasons of all your crashed you are having.
  13. The Matrix was the Demo, but you explained the thing, so i understand what you was referring. Well, GW2 have multiserver that limit the people on one map to around 150 as max and around 100 as normal i think and if less than 30 (not so sure about this limit), a "close map 1 hour" message come i think.
  14. What you mean?? In the demo, they had an entire city and i don't think the demo was running bad, so, can you explain the scales problem of it?
  15. People say the Rifle Mecha is the best, i used it in a real pve scenario and is bad, so i want the version people say is the best, simple as that. If people say rifle is top and in reality is bad and even worse than the normal mace, well, i want the version people say is the best, simple as that. (so that at least, there will be a "solid reason" to ask in case to nerf it after). And yeah, i test in real pve scenario before post info or comments on classes, not only on a static Golem with full boons and malus on.

NCSoft is the parent company, could use space and utility from ANet for the project (the Team), plus, ANet have only gw as IP, so you are telling me they are restarting a project that was canned before in the middle of the most delicate phase for gw2? (pre Steam release) If that is, they are betting big time here. (the last big bet nearly ended the company, so, hope this one get good).

Atm, the market where gw3, as a sequel of gw2, could come is FULL of games, some that have nice graphic like Lost Ark, the evergreen FFIV, and more, so...... how good you all think gw3 need to be for the game to get at least in the top 5 games played now? I mean, BDO have a fantastic graphics, but as a game, isn't so good and is struggling to stay up and relevant..... U5 graphic can be good how much you want, but if the game isn't good, the game would fail (check new world, really nice graphic, but totally failed gameplay in some area (not completely failed to be true) and the game is considered near dead or on life support after 6 months from the opening). I seriously don't know about gw3......... the market is full of many different games and many more respect what was like in 2016 when the later cut project who get the massive dismissal at Anet was being developed. Plus, the dragon saga ended, so, what lore started from GW1 and continued in GW2 is no more....... don't know, for me, could be a totally different game, maybe the game can be the next version of AION or LINEAGE, remember NCSoft have them under their umbrella, and at least for LINEAGE, it is a big established online fantasy IP and can have more traction in the market respect gw3, at least regarding a new game release (a lot easier on the lore side i think too). So for me, Lineage 3 could be a nice U5 game in the future.

Like i sayd in other posts, they changed banner a bit in a positive way with the extra skill at first placement/activation (even though they destroyed them the patch before) but at the same time, they worsened them on the boons pulse side changing the radius (from 600 to 360 without possibility to change the position after you place them), reduces duration of the banner (from 60 secs duration and 60 sec cooldown (1:1) to 15 secs duration and 30 secs cooldown (1:2), massacred the Elite banner that is now a lot worse cause cooldown stay at 120 secs but duration appear to be 15 sec instead of 60 and "immovable banner ground position placement" that return. If they mantain the 1:1 ratio for duration and cooldown (30 secs duration, 30 secs cooldown) and the radius the same or at least around 450-500, things could have been a lot better for the banner rework, instead of what we get now. (good start but totally not enough for what we lost) I mean, they could have simple give us a skill like "shout" with the starter effect as what banner will get and pulse boons every 3 seconds for like 20 seconds (30 secs cooldown) and we would be in a better position of what we will get now. (i sugested similar change in the august 2 post)

Steam launch is coming, you need to get the new waves of casual player to stay in the game, and casual players like easy stuff, Mecha is easy, so my though is they created the class for that purpose, the rest isn't so important (money is the basic of businnes, right?). In any case, Mecha was nerfed a lot in normal PVE if you confront now to the start of EOD........ and before 28/06 patch, where they nerfed it (yeah, they nerfed mecha there, check better guys and girls......) noone have a problem with it (even though Mecha was more powerfull than now). Just yestarday, i checked how bad Mecha rifle is in 98 CM fractal second boss if AARocket don't tick orbital strike for the extra damage. Was doing my classic role to kite ACID and AOE for an easy kill the boss (random group, not the "elite we kill alone the boss" kind of party) and 4 Vet phase come; I was using rifle instead of mace, so get in position, and 1111 the vet i was assigned (trying to proc AARocket fast); i was slow, totally slow, the last to end it, and didn't understand why, i was in the dps build i tested at golem, with rifle and at the right distance for proc AARocket, so why i was last to kill the vet? At second round, i rechecked with an eye to my combat log, and yeah, i was the last to kill it, just in the nick of time before the fail explosion hit, and noticed something. i didn't proc AARocket orbital strike hit damage. As short story, if you don't proc AARocket Orbital strike damage, your damage is bad, really bad, is even worse than the damage of a Vindicator 1111 + impossible odd active only........, so, really bad. (expecially if you stay ranged and don't get boons on you like quickness and extra Might, but my vindicator kill faster the vet in the same condition..... so) This thing proved to me without a doubt that Mecha is in a bad position, and need not a nerf, but a powerup instead on the basic damage, cause what you get at the golem (immovable waiting the proc of AARocket orbital strike) is totally different to what you get in real PVE encounter (if Orbital don't tick, your damage is bad, really bad).

Thinking about the new changes to banners, i am pointing strongly on the idea someone wrote about change banners skills to AOE casting skills with the centre based around the war (like shout or similar) that give the new "place banner initial effect" and spam the random boons with a pulse kind activation, to end all the problem of the reduces radius (from 600 to 360 without possibility to change the position after you place them), reduces duration of the banner (from 60 secs duration and 60 sec cooldown to 15 secs duration and 30 secs cooldown, Elite banner get a lot worse now cause cooldown stay at 120 secs) and "immovable banner ground position placement" we get again. I think the idea to simple get a animation/image of a banner on the war head when the skills are active would be good enough to restore the bad status the entire banners concept is today as a mechanics in the game.
  22. I don't doubt that people have problems, DC and crasesh playing the game. (you need to play Runes of Magic, after that, you will understand how blessed you are to be able to play gw2) For the post about Balthazar, the date is 2017..... (i don't think he/she even started POF story) Sometimes, a crash can depend on your computer and sometimes, can be a totally random thing that noone could fix until you do a totally random action that magically fix it for you. Some years ago, i had random crash with the game, on map change, even in istance, nothing would fix it, not the new patch, not changing options, nothing. The game was 100% downloaded, all ok, new patched done, but problems persisted (even after a restore of windows). I like to check around info and i find a post where one player told to use the "repair" function if your pc had a restart caused by tension loss and similar, because someone couldn't see an item in the game after a similar occurrence. Did that "repair", restarted PC, all was good, no more problem. I use APC, no tension loss or other problem, and never get a BSOD on windows during all that time, so i really don't know what have started all the crash problems, the thing i know is that doing a "repair" resolved it.

As my personal speculation, they canned 2 project when they lost around half of the work force, 1 was mostly likely a mobile project, and the other, was mostly likely a future gw3 in the early stage. Why i suspect that? Simple, they talked about no more expansion after POF and they wanted to continue gw2 only with living seasons, plus, we get a 180 change in ice brood saga when Jormag started to freeze all people around Tyria......... and talked about the future defrozen,,,,,,,,,, perfect lore for a possible gw3. But they canned the projects and have some assets most probably ready, and i think they can be compatible with gw2 as maps so, you have a part of something..... and Expansion announcement come. All are my speculation, reality can be totally different from all that, only who worked on those projects and stay in the company until the EoD come out could know the true, but for now, gw2 is like the top they have, and is a good game until now (apart the "balance nerf all patch" that i really don't like and the fact that i never really get to battle against Primordus, the first enemy from the oldest time of the Anet game, something i really wanted to do).
