  1. Again please read posts carefully before misquoting, your understanding of Mesmer is as messy as you understanding people's posts. "I mentioned which is technically better, and I also stated why people would run Chaos for condi builds as it is tied to staff and as far as the axe condi mirage build goes, I have hardly seen anyone run that as Condi Virtuoso outshines that build in almost every case as well as its a much easier rotation." I quoted myself and underlined it for you to read carefully. Unlike you I know what I type and I understand what I typed.
  2. Again read my posts before making comments thanks. I hate to get notification of someone misquoting me or not understanding what I had typed. "Chaos traitline is not for condition damage builds that is more on Illusion line then it is Chaos. Chaos is a pure defensive traitline which gets associated with condi because it makes condi builds that much bulkier. Most condi builds in competitive play run Chaos as most use staff in association with the build." FYI I did answer the post. I mentioned which is technically better, and I also stated why people would run Chaos for condi builds as it is tied to staff and as far as the axe condi mirage build goes, I have hardly seen anyone run that as Condi Virtuoso outshines that build in almost every case as well as its a much easier rotation. As far as Mesmer top DPS is concern no it does not use chaos, condi Virtuoso does not use chaos as the damage does not outweigh the bleed stacks from dueling for you to proc more resource to shatter.
  3. Thanks They need to focus more on their strengths rather then trying to appeal to new players by doing everything half arsed. WvW was suppose to be GW2's thing. Back when GW2 was being announced I remember how focused they were towards this game mode. Truth be told WvW was the reason why I played GW2 because of it's PvP system. If I wanted to play PvE I can always go to another MMO and do it, its all really the same...AI, rotation, etc. FFXIV does it better, WoW used to do it better, GW2 should've capitalized on their strengths. It would be awesome if there was a WvW map rotation with different themes per month to keep things spicy. Or terrain manipulation to make things different. There is so much things they could've done with WvW but simply ignored.
  4. In PvE mirage has 2 dodges so clearly the topic is for competitive play.
  5. I've done CMs so far I have not seen a single chrono in any of my parties. The only Mesmer I see are Virtuoso for DPS otherwise never for utility.
  6. So again blah blah PvE, alright can you do the same in competitive game modes?
  7. I dont think you understand what i said enough to quote, what i said was chaos traitline shouldn't have condition damage bonus in the first place, as it's origin is suppose to be utility/defensive. This was changed due to the balance patch by giving staff alacrity which was a mistake in the first place.
  8. I mean atm cloth class isn't exactly the best choice, none of the 3 are exactly "meta" aside from condi virtuoso in PvE. They are usable still.
  9. Knowing the history of Mesmer as a whole it most likely wont be "meta" for long. The only "meta" thing about Mesmers in PvE is Virtuoso.
  10. Again there are no better options besides that, Chaos traitline in its core was suppose to be purely defensive and utility, they didn't add the condition bonus until May 11, 2021 patch which at the same time staff was given alacrity. Both Illusionary Membrane and Chaotic Potency did not give extra condition damage. In fact those were reworked with the update. This only perpetuated the tanky condi mirage builds in competitive play. Like I said, it was a mistake to give alacrity to mirage in the first place.
  11. Please read what I had type before you make comments, I said chaos traitline is used in condi builds because of staff and which only staff can really capitalize on it. That build is a double staff build, do you see condi Virtuoso using chaos traitline...?
  12. Chaos traitline is not for condition damage builds that is more on Illusion line then it is Chaos. Chaos is a pure defensive traitline which gets associated with condi because it makes condi builds that much bulkier. Most condi builds in competitive play run Chaos as most use staff in association with the build.
  13. If all of this was the reasons for why they pushed back Alliance, players should not need to speculate instead they should be more transparent. It isn't a secret that they had massive layoffs, this was news for some time. They had every right to say "we had to reallocate resources from the Alliance project to work on other aspects of the game," or somewhere along the lines of that. Not only did they not do that, they were quiet, then when Alliance became a meme, they decided to give false hope by discussing about it and how WvW is the cornerstone of the game. 2022, EoD expansion release and Alliance is still waiting on another BETA TESTING. Yet they had the audacity to say they are releasing another expansion. So the excuse for Alliance being delayed was cuz they were working on EoD/PvE content in-between, does that mean the excuse for Alliance being delayed now is because they are working on PvE content and the future expansion? Players should not need to make excuses for a company, they aren't a newly established group, GW2 isn't a new game. As WvW being the cornerstone of the game, the previous patch update I have yet to see WvW changes at all, whether it be balance changes or just overall WvW updates.
  14. I guess not everyone can read or if they do read unable to comprehend the text...
  15. Its because the need for attention is real.
  16. I would actually 2nd this, if they wanted to "nerf" it they should've put an ICD specifically for WvW or sPvP. As an all projectile class, there are too many projectile hate for this trait not to work properly.
  17. This was mentioned in beta this was also mentioned after the expansion was released. It's August now....they don't care.
  18. I dont understand why people mention core days as if they were useless, guardians had the best might/swiftness when boons were scarce.
  19. To be honest, what they should've done with Mirage is make IH part of the kit. Then for grandmaster traits you can either have your clones do support effects or damage not both. So for example those who want support Mirage can choose a trait that gives everyone buffs/heals where as if someone wants to do DPS it will give clones condition damage and last trait give power coefficients. As far as how buffs/heal are applied for example on sword ambush or GS, it will be around the user and clone, rather then giving it a boon that stacks give it stuff that only stacks duration so stuff like sword clones will benefit more vs staff clones. The concept of Mirage is it's name, you see a mirage in the desert you try to go for it but there is nothing, which is the concept of Mirage cloak. Not being able to touch what is there.
  20. The only issue with these changes is if you make Mirage a shatter base spec then it will compete with both Chrono and Core making Mirage perform better. Both Chrono and Core dont have ambush after shatter. The biggest distinction between Mirage vs other Mesmer spec is that it is a passive gameplay rather then Chrono that is an active gameplay. What I mean is, the original design for Chrono is the more you shatter the more you get refunded via Alacrity. Whereas Mirage is you want to keep your clones up as much as possible or else its a DPS loss is most cases. Which is why most people are upset with Virtuoso because essentially it is a nerfed version of Core and Chrono when it comes to Shatter damage, at least in competitive play, and it's identity in terms of functionality is the same except you are ranged/projectile. The only reason why Virtuoso is top in PvE is because Chrono got nerfed repeatedly. If they were to make Virtuoso the "premier" shatter spec, they did a horrible job because often not your shatters are not off cooldown yet while you have resources piling up. If you were to compare all 3 e-specs at release it is night a day that Virtuoso will never be able to compete with Chrono or Mirage in a spot in a comped group. It seems to be a trending pattern to nerf the e-spec before the expansion comes out to make the new e-spec shine.
  21. They put it on low graphics is to remove the visuals and focus on the animation aspect of the blade. Indeed the blade is not bouncing off which is clearly seen without all the visual clutter.
  22. Remember our phantasms and clones were nerfed because ANET doesnt like AI to do things for us....
  23. Every point you made seems to be common knowledge to players to actually play the game. Again perhaps the devs need to spend more time playing their game to understand what changes need to be made. I hate bringing other MMO into the conversations but there is a reason why FFXIV devs are widely respected across many MMO platforms, its because they actually do their own raids, cap out their weekly currencies, play PvP to know what changes are needed to be made. Which is why every single time they have a patch note it touch base across ALL aspects of the game and balance accordingly. Again has an ANET dev ever step foot into sPvP? I can't recall the last time I saw a ANET tag in WvW. You don't play your own game once in a blue moon and suddenly know what needs to be changed. Remember ANET wanting to remove AI aspect part of the game...? Due to this logic some class suffered but now suddenly they are ok with Mechs with AI combat? I can't recall how many times they have shot themselves in the foot and they simply dont care.
