  1. Wizards Tower QoL improvement: It has been mentioned before elsewhere in forums, but Wizards Tower can really use Guild Bank access. Eye of the North and Arborstone have it. I drop stuff off in the guild bank all the time when cleaning up character inventory, and while i could go to Mistlock Sanctuary, Arborstone, or guild hall itself, it makes me regret going to wizards tower sometimes.

I had this happen to me too. skills/utilites/health all gone. but i found i could still fight. you can still press skill/utility keys they still work, you just no longer know if they are off cooldown until you try them. you don't know your health, but Peitha will try to rez you if you get downed. the biggest thing that got me was i got to the 75% stage when Cerus gets impenentrable defense buff, i ended up using wiki and found i had to use special action key. that worked. I did get the fight done from the 75% point with no knowledge of skills/utilities availability nor what my health was at any time. It is possible to still complete the story step.
  3. The person with me had the same issue on this story step. i got credit and they didn't. EDIT: I went back in with this other person and they got credit for 'repeating' the story and got 5 tales of adventure but they still don't have actual credit for the story and cannot progress the story. What's up with that?
  4. The dailies list is broken in some way. Should go back to only showing dailies for the zone you are in, plain and simple.

Same, in same event, hit two different groups of 2 Naga, and got zero credit. i think i hit two in a previous event on a recent day and didnt see progress, so i was paying attention this time and for sure hit 2 Naga, twice in one event. Edit: To be honest, this achievement can be hard to get if more than a few people actually are doing it. Everyone is killing Naga, even angry marked ones, so trying to be patient for 2 of them to get together may never happen since can be rare even 2 are near each other cause one just died to people killing one. Better to try on a dead map. Or, my suggestion would be the angry marked ones can only be gotten rid of with the throw item, may still not get 2 together if a lot of people are there but stops the killing part.
  6. After the Friday path, getting to 20% is what i am seeing consistently now. I am at about 0/20 for successful runs. I do agree that the meta expects too much out of a lot of pugs; to get every single mechanic there is and get them right all the time, and have a 10 sec burn with everyone there, is a bit much to require for random people who 1111 during world boss events. I still see a large number of people miss using the jump special action during the start of the island split boss phase and they die for no reason. And yes, instructions beforehand mentioned this. I am not asking for an easy meta, there are those, but a doable meta if enough people are actually contributing, where this meta seems to require 95% of the people to know what to do all the time. Even with instructions, people won't go to tail immediately, and when you finally do get tail, you 'maybe' get a 10 sec burn phase. In my opinion, you smash tail, get an automatic cc phase for a possible longer burn. Also, succeeding with wisps, which is getting 'better' should give you an automatic cc phase for a longer burn. Even after Friday patch, i see CC phases come up during a period it is sending out a wave, or also see no cc phases, something is wrong with timing of boss mechanics or the randomness of what is next. For 20 min you get a decent burn period in first few minutes then its basically random when you get further burn phases. There is also absolutely too much randomness in the meta. Plus, the 20% split phase bosses, a number of them move around, making burning them that much harder. The CC on them doesn't lock them down for more than like 5 seconds and they go back to jumping all over island. It's a meta that gives you hope in the first 5 min you have a chance then it's kitten from then on, pardon my French. Give better burn phase rewards on completing mechanics. For those out there wanting for of a challenge, they should have made a CM version with greater rewards.
  7. i got achieve in public dragonstorm, and i do believe i hit both Ryland and Braham, but did only primordus flight attacks. Fellow guildie in same instance did not get achieve. The guildie did get both the story achieve and the Return to Dragonstorm achieve in the story version of the fight.
  8. You can have multiple forage nodes (leather/cloth/etc.) in a tower/keep. I have the glyph of reaping on a sickle, but have to farm each cloth, leather, vegetable node separately.
  9. Side question on reaping glyph, is it supposed to work in WvW? (Added): Asking since guild member indicated it worked for them in WvW but does not work for me.
  10. Yes, i started the story with a toon that hadn't done it before and went through forging steel and darkrime and chests were there. For now, it has to be a toon that has not done the story until Anet decides to fix it (or not).
  11. Vindicator: while some may like the dodge attack on vindicator, i found myself trying to use dodge as a dodge (cause almost everywhere else that's what it is, except thief of course). I didn't look to attack easy stuff to kill with dodge, i looked to attack vets/champs with vindicator to see what it could do, but due to fight mechanics on some stuff, dodging as a defense was more relevant - only i find myself with 1 dodge with a long cooldown, unless i trait for endurance to recharge faster. I feel there should still be 2 dodges available for fight mechanics, with a few ways to change this: 1) 2 dodges, but only the first one does damage (with a full recharge indicator to ensure you know the combat dodge is available); 2) allow traiting for whether you want 1 single combat dodge, or 2 regular dodges.
  12. Lol, sounds like Maguuma too. They seem to only want to play EBG and nowhere else, can have large queue on EBG and nobody elsewhere.
  13. I think the setup for gunsaber trigger is a bit hard to pull off sometimes and seems only for special situations. Even slow fighting a vet husk in SW (press 11111), can kill it right normally about time that trigger is fully charged, and during the last ammo charging phase if you do anything it can interrupt it. It seems useful more situational for a set fight with on a champ or higher boss that is not constantly moving to get full use out of it most times.
  14. Yes, the public version should remain. I have done 6 private instance groups, all failed. The private instance requires a bit more dedication and awareness to get done, since all the 6 groups i was in would do frustrating things. The tag commander spends 10 minutes explaining the lanes, the fight, the bosses, and ppl still do what they want. there is little margin for error. 10 per lane to get 2 per platform, so what happens a lot is 11 ppl go in, now 1 lane is short. If 1 person dies, that platform is now at serious risk of failing that lane. One lane fails and ppl start rage-quitting instance, and the list goes on about ppl not doing the mechanics as recommended for each of the fights, and so on with the instance failing for one reason or another, and a lot of times, 1 person can put the map in jeopardy just by not getting to the platforms in their assigned lane. For a 50 person squad, that is crazy. Plus, this is not a fight to bring your support/no dps build. Things have to get killed and you may be the only one to do it on a platform since there is no one else or the other one died, so decent dps is needed. As far as i can tell, the private instance version as currently configured is possibly scaled up more than the public and will generally take ppl who can follow commands, get organized and such, meaning that i understand why some lfg's want to see KP, titles, etc. To get those, you generally learn the stuff you need to know in raids, fractals, etc. The public version though with an 80 cap, with 3 min possible per platform has that extra safety margin (or is slightly scaled down since they seem way easier than the private version), and even with ppl not knowing what to do it gets done so far. If they get rid of public version, i can see the 50 person private instance getting to a point where it is rarely being done unless maybe some static-type groups form up or only run at special times. I don't see the raid/T4 CM fractal ppl wanting to go in with true pugs and put up with fails, plus if the loot isn't good enough, the raid/T4 CM ppl won't even continue doing it probably. I have heard a 50 person scourge squad approach has worked multiple times, which begs for an issue with balance (I am not trying to dis scourges, i play one myself). While I would like to continue doing the marionette fight, i can't see being all that interested in making it a regular thing if its a private instance, 50 person only squad, it is getting too frustrating right now. At this point, sorry, but i am happy just to get it done in the public version, and hope the public version stays. Update: Ok, did two more Public versions (late night). had plenty of ppl in first one and succeeded, but ppl dont spread out, have like 20 go in one lane and 9 in another, and ppl wont join tags so you don't really know lane numbers. Pleading for them to join tags doesn't seem to work and actually can get ppl in squad to leave it. (The 9 person lane failed, someone tried to solo warden III themself but ran out of time. You really do need the 80 to account for ppl just not paying attention or caring enough. the 2nd public was worse, may have not been a full map, but lane 1 failed cause no one went there first off, got lane 1 up to 10 ppl, some lanes much better on numbers, and then by the time it wraps around 1 again, lane 1 is now down to 6 ppl and 4 platforms are trying to solo, 3 succeed and the 4th the person there died, killing meta. ppl started leaving for some reason mid-way through meta when we were still ok, or they went afk. all lanes started leaking and i dont know why ppl left, we still had a good chance of winning even with 10 ppl in a lane minimum. It goes back to ppl not wanting to do something if its not guaranteed. I don't mind losing, but i hate it when other ppl give up at the first sign of failure. ("Oh one lane failed, let's leave now.") At least try. Update #2: apparently a number of the ppl who know what to do are not showing up anymore. had like 3 of the last 4 public fail, one wasn't a full map, but still had enough for 10 ppl to a lane, but the other 3 full maps are failing too. Biggest causes in my opinion, ppl not paying attention and ppl leaving lanes. The ppl not paying attention part is when its your lane's turn, watch for the countdown timer and move up to center by zero. most of the time more than half the ppl are still at bottom of lane fighting portal spawn. I'm trying to squad chat, map chat, ping and it takes forever for them to get to platforms. Im on warden #1 myself solo for 30 sec before suddenly two other ppl appear. sorry, i cant solo warden #1 when you have to get behind it to damage it. That lane is the worst for ppl not paying attention. Similar in all lanes, you can tell them till you're blue in the face and ppl dont move up. I wouldn't mind an automatic pull to center if you are in lane. As to ppl leaving, still a big issue, full public map, one lane fails and suddenly your lane's 15 squad dives to 10 or 5 ppl, and when it comes around to you again its almost a certain fail. The ppl leaving are basically guaranteeing the fail. Some may be leaving for achievement in another lane, but still, even in public version this fight is no gimme, ppl need to care about to whole meta to some degree, not just themselves (tall order i know). I will add to the not paying attention part is that some ppl still don't seem to have a clue how to fight some of the wardens. With the lack of ppl paying attention to chat, i know its hard to inform them.
  15. The recent time after dismounting i was off the mount for a couple seconds before trying to use my stab so if there is a dismount penalty it lasts for a while. My ping is usually no worse than 100. When activating stab i see the boon immediately (above utility bar). It could be i'm losing server side who got there first.
  16. (This is a wvw based question.) There have been a number of times I pop my (what is supposed to be) 6 sec stability and get pulled (stunned, etc.) within a second or two. The last time was me popping stab to try and get away after getting lanced (dismounted) and within a second the guardian used spear pull on me and pulls me back to him. The stab utility says "cannot be knocked down, pushed back, pulled, launched, stunned, dazed, floated, sunk, feared, or taunted." There was no boon corrupt. What gives? Is there some sort of underlying who wins the tug of war calculation? I've had similar situations where i want to use a pull but pop stability first right before it but when i use the pull i get pulled to target? Does their stability override my stability and pull? (I understand boon corruption can take my stab away, but there are a number of situations i'm getting pulled within a sec of using stab and i didn't see a necro nearby.) (same issue with stuns and such, pop stab then get stunned within a couple seconds in a fight.)
  17. i am done with the Drakkar meta starting today. The day-in, day-out portal trolling that's killing people all the time is just ridiculous. Sorry, but i am not going to try and watch for every mesmer laying a portal and remember who did which one if it is a troll portal i took to try and report them. It's just not enjoyable on any level anymore. i am not going to hunt around for different time slots that don't have trolling, the trolls win by doing that too. Also, I have been stuck at 5 drakkar hoards total for months and do (did) the meta every day. Did Anet lower the drop rate?

ANET doesn't care about any sort of trolling, whether intentional or not. i have posted about personal merchants that only the owner can use, but everyone else gets a 'talk' interact being spawned on chests so people have to hunt around for chest interact, personal black lion merchants being spawn on dragonsblood spear barrel at north meta on thunderhead peaks interfering with meta, and so on. Intentional trolling has been reported and ANET doesn't care, even if it's one person constantly doing it day in and day out for weeks interfering with a meta. I am now boycotting that meta because if anet doesn't care why should i try and help or do that meta. i don't care to find a timeslot without a troll. Its an annoyance that i just don't care to deal with.

  20. I just came across some community trophies in my inventory from the recent fractal week event. But, the fractal researcher vendor is gone from the fractal gate (both LA and Mistlock Sanctuary). Does anyone know where it moved to? (Anet has created vendors elsewhere for past events like this, but wiki does say anything yet. i checked northwest LA area where festival vendors are and didn't notice anything.) Or, has Anet not yet created one? Thank you in advance.

  22. I learned early on, only buy one when you need it, and only buy one at a time. You don't need the materials in your direct player inventory, they can be in the bank.
  23. Good luck anyone needing Serpent's Ire for golem backpack or exaltation. TTS is down to one day a week on their calendar and today they either didn't do it or were full before they started. People in map indicated they were watching lfg and never saw anything. a pug group of 30 or so tried and failed miserably. This thing is scaled beyond the capability of most pug groups. People don't know/don't care/don't bring something that can CC. I had 7 CC from my guardian and it was like hitting a brick wall. the 5 at our spot broke the bar maybe 3 times and got it to 90%. Anet should have statistics on how often meta's succeed and should realize this one is very poorly designed to get people to even want to do it, let alone succeed at it. Even dragonstand seems to be dying with low population at times, but its still doable with 15-20 each lane, rather than the 40-50 you used to get. The power creep that lets DS stay alive sure doesn't help SI.
