Just so you guys know, it isn't a hidden fee scheme by ANet. Game came out with the plan of LW seasons to eliminate the need for expansions. The "expansion's worth of content" statement goes as far back as release. But things changed and they decided to do expansions, but people came to expect LW as well... so you have two incompatible models clashing with each other.

The mounts are useless if the map is made longer for them. Going back to older zones and having mounts... that's what makes them useful.

They added mounts but also made the maps artificially bigger. So you still spent the same time getting from a to b.

But it wasn't an easier way to move around. You were expected to travel in the longer PoF maps.

People buy expansions and rejoice over the quality of life improvements. Truth is, it's not "real" quality of life. People say mounts were the best qol ever. Except that PoF maps were artificially stretched out land to make travel less OP. The quality of life happens when people take the new stuff from the expansions, and apply them to older content. So ya'll love powercreep. Cool. And those bag slot expansions? Why do you think this game has so much trash loot? To fill your bags up so you buy bag slots.

If you want to get closer to a sim or second life, everyone needs to be wearing different clothing. There needs to be an endless amount of clothes. Put em in the gemstore, I don’t care. The problem is, ANet has also decided to monetize skins for skiffs and fishing rods… And if you’ve been paying attention, we are getting 1 at a time, unlike the many mount skins. So instead of making fashion wars a reality, they are starting from scratch with rods and skiffs. Basically, if you buy a rod or skiff skin, you will look like everyone else who has a rod or skiff skin, because there are only 2 skins. Who wants that? They should have instead added more armor and outfits. You know, the thing we actually use all the time, the thing which differentiates us from each other? How is it fashion wars if you have a choice of a whopping 2 rods?

They look insanely good… I just don’t see the point in having one, as you will look like everyone else, since there’s only 2 skins.

Guild Halls and home instances are not iterations off housing. Until ANet says they are, that is not up for debate.
