  1. I had heard that more information was coming “soon”. But how soon I cannot tell. I would say some info is coming before year is done.
  2. It's supposed to be an incentive to help other people out. It's not supposed to be about only your own benefit. This is true. Similar to the weekly rush. If you want more rewards, play with some of the lower tiers more to get rewards. Help out some lower leveled fractal people, if you want extra rewards.
  3. Just like the gift of lightning or whatever the end goal is is valued the same as one or two of the weapons, so you’re better off crafting that without doing the achievement. I just don’t have incentive to do it other than if I want those skins. The tiered rewards just cut the overall cost down a little. Other than that it’s not too rewarding in my opinion. If you do want every skin unlocked then this is for you. I just spend all my money on legendaries these days so if I feel it’s not worth completing I won’t do it. If it was required for mastery I would have been working on completing it by now.
  4. Theoretically turning in trophies for any reward whether it be boxes of goods or the tonics should contribute your trophies to progress, and give you titles. Seems like they didn’t allow this option and is misleading. Perhaps they figured everyone would buy at least one box of bonus goods and wouldn’t have to worry about it.
  5. Can you buy more otter enrichments from Laurel vendor like you can with birthday enrichments after you complete the otter achievement?
  6. I did my research ahead of time, and decided which legendaries I would do the achivements, and which ones not based on which was more economical. I already started some achievements like Twilight, incinerator, etc. and I’m not even at the point I want to make the legendary yet. Any ascended materials I need I’ll just save up and craft when I can. Not a big deal. If you jump right in and don’t research then yes it could be screwing you in some costs.
  7. Since we do not know what exactly Anet plans, thats quite a bold statement. I consider it a quality of life update: You don't have to swap your legendary from one character to another. So why not skip the template thingy, wich seems like an unneccessary step in between and simply give every character the ability to get a copy of legendaries you already crafted for a fee? Sounds much more user friendly and logical imho. All I am saying with this is if you craft one legendary sword, you get access to one copy across any character and template that you can use at any time. If you make 2 legendary swords, regardless of if it’s a duplicate or gen 1 vs. gen 2, you get 2 swords to use in templates across characters. If you are saying you can get an extra copy for a fee, the cost better be like 1500 g or you just devalued the process of making a legendary. Runes and sigils would be the same way. 1 copy vs 7 copies of runes you need to make is a big difference, and I don’t see that changing because it will have a pretty big impact on economy. Just making templates to begin with will impact economy to a certain level. People won’t make extra legendary sets of armor, but it will persuade some people to make legendaries.
  8. Best case I imagine Vision in November, Episode in January, festival, then next episode in March. But without people frothing at the mouth I’m suggesting it may not be following that same trajectory based on the announcement of the expansion. That once a month but was before the expansion was announced and they did say that after the latest episode things would be a bit different and more akin to season 1. What that means, who knows. As to alliances, I don’t think they’ll make a huge difference either way, but it has been well over a year and a half hasn’t it? The armory I don’t think they’ve “scrapped” but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it as a feature included with the expansion as it also could have been planned before the expansion. May be part of their plan to get the expansion out sooner by pushing major features to it instead. They mentioned several months ago we would get more details, here we are and no word. So that’s why I’m making the assumption that the idea of it being released within the scope of this saga is “scrapped.” Armory won’t be an expansion feature because it’s an update to an existing base game feature. It might get released around the same time, possibly, but not as a feature.
  9. “Fixed an issue in which the Sorrowful Spellcaster would not appropriately exit her Whirlwind Shield after all the storm clouds were dispersed.“ Our fractal group on T4 tonight got the boss down to 20%, and then died. We restarted and couldn’t make it past the stormcloud part. Even though we dispersed everything, the phase would not end and lightning kept attacking us and killing us.
  10. No we didn't. The last episode had an epilogue within it to round off that little section of the story There was no Prologue “within” the episode, so it was an epilogue to the saga. Disagree. The episode was not the final episode of the saga. The epiloge was switching gears from the fight to the end of the episode. Anet did not call this episode the finale, and there was no big ending rather a cliffhanger for the next episode. Plus you got the Confer with Bangar achievement that is bridging the two episodes (4 and 5) together. Generally when the living world season ends we know it’s going to be big and there is generally a legendary item collection released with it. Also, the icebrood saga currency reward where you get to choose icebrood saga currency from wvw and pvp tracks has coming soon for materials: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Icebrood_Saga_Material#vendor4 Lots ot things that say the saga is not over. There is more than likely no more living world seasons before the next expansion so ice brood saga has a ways to go. While I doubt that was the finale I wouldn’t be sure about there being a lot more episodes left. When they announced the saga they didn’t have any intention of making an expansion so who knows what’s been shuffled around to make room for it. And with it having a 2021 release date it may have been focused on for quite some time meaning a sooner release than expected. And with all the other canned features like wvw alliances and presumably the legendary armory, along with the absence of an episode this month it feels like things have probably shifted internally as they’ve revised the rest of this saga to be an introduction the expansion. Stop spreading the fake news of alliances being scrapped. We all knew ATs were first, now that's done and they switched to work on that. Armory isn't scrapped, this is a gigantic feature in case you haven't noticed. ANd "absence of an episode this month" is stretching it extremely. It's been exactly 2 months, even if they are putting it out 3 months in, that's still faster and about on track.People need to stop counting hours with this. There is absolutely zero indication the next episode will be any different. They have also been known to releAse episodes extremely close to events also. The new fractal and event is giving a gap that they are looking for and then there may be some kind of announcement once that is over. Personally I am enjoying the fractal and doing north meta in drizzlewood here and there for otters. Not to mention the endless grind of legendaries. Keeping me busy definately til next episode whenever it may come.

  12. Personally I’m working in frenzy now. Just the precursor collections because it’s so cheap. I have several legendaries I’m planning before this one but I will make this eventually just to gear my main out with all legendaries. My main focus is also gearing if legendary armory ever shows up.
  13. Anyone know if there’s a good engi build for 100cm yet? I was thinking of running a double pistol condi holo or something like that.
  14. Except the legendary armory is supposed to solve literally the scenario you described, so you don't have to craft them several times.I did build several legendaries as well. And I think making copies for your characters on your account having a price tag attached to them is absolutely fair. I disagree. The armory is meant to allow sharing of legendary weapons/armor across characters. Making one legendary sword doesn’t mean you get the ability to use two legendary swords in the armory so you can dual wield legendaries. I think you would have to have two legendary swords for this to happen. If anet does do this that’s totally up to them. But, the purpose of the armory is to make the template system better to where you won’t have to unequip your equipment from the templates just to move them to another character. If you have ever done this, you realize your equipment template basically goes away and you have to set stats, etc. all over again once you move them back. This makes me not want to move my armor across characters at all. This is what the armory is aiming to address and improve upon. Not give an extra copy necessarily.
  15. Exactly my thoughts. Some people seem to think of doomsday scenarios when talking about the legendary armory and get more creative than me during school when trying to find reasons for why I haven't done my homework.I mean, this way you could even implement a price for each legendary copy, so it doesn't totally destroy the market: Make it about 50g for each copy of a weapon and boom, problem solved. Only thing they need to do then is to somehow make sunrise and the other one so it can't be thrown into the mystic forge for free eternitys. Except 50 gold is way too low for a copy of a legendary. I am working on my second weapon myself so I know how expensive these things are. To get a second copy of something, just make the Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions, and there you go, you get two different skins and you can dual wield if you want. Transmutate them if you want them to look the same, no problem. Anet should not devalue legendaries, as it will make end game much easier and there won’t be anything left to play for.
  16. I replay the stories on all characters. I have one of each profession that I go through. I don’t mind it, as it more easily allows me to gain all achievements without the feel of grinding it. I get a different experience with each character so it’s not as repetitive.
  17. You can change stats on the fly if you have multiple sets of ascended armor using the existing template system. I don’t have light and heavy legendary armors yet, and I got my other characters armor sets essentially as drops from fractals. Geared up, ready to play. What you are asking is to devalue the main thing about legendaries. Not going to happen.
  18. No need for KP. Items are meant to be used tor rewards. Make a tiered title achievment based on number of clears for each cm. Solves everything.
  19. I think they could have a progressional title system. After so many times doing CM 98, you get title 1, after more times get title 2, and so on. Same for 99 and 100. That’s all you have to do. I don’t want items that are supposed to be used to buy rewards held back because you have to show KP. A title system would be fine. It can be governed by an achievement, and when you hit the next tier your title evolves.
  20. I am doing my second ever map completion (first one I completed in the first year of GW2. Although I do agree that the hearts are the most time consuming part, but you just have to bite the bullet and do it. It’s not going to change. It hasn’t for 8 years. I think you’re just trying to make it easier than what it already is. First, no more WvW completion required. Second, mounts make it go much faster, esp for vistas. If ANET did do this there would be nothing left to map completion. Hearts would be useless also. Not going to happen, and it shouldn’t.
  21. Everyone has voiced this concern since the beginning, so I'm sure they would have to include a way for customization. ANET has not said that the wardrobe will not be a part of this new legendary armory. Actually they have not said much at all about the features or how it's going to work yet. I think we all just need to calm down and wait for more information :-).
  22. We experienced the same thing. It's not that we kept having to do it over and over, but we would complete all the orbs, but the phase would not end, so we were just in a never-ending getting zapped by the storm until we die. Even if we gg'd and tried again, when it got the phase the next time, we completed it, and then it would not progress, no matter how many times we gg'd and retried.
  23. It is called living world for a reason. It gives that sense of time progression as the story goes on, and the world “evolves”. Just like how people won’t ever experience south drizzlewood only anymore. The map evolved into a bigger map and the two metas combined. Bangar isn’t going to tell everything at once, and that’s expected. Maybe he doesn’t know what’s going on yet, and Jormag is piecemeiling info to him as is needed. It is only information and teasers as to what is to come. Not sure why people are feeling entitled to know everything right now. It’s a build-up, and doing it all at once would be a little too rushed.
  24. Being used to T4’s, I started with a pug group that all seemed like they were T3-T4 capable, and we had a good time going through T1. Was actually really fun. Next group I did with T4. We got all the way to the last boss, died out a few times, and then the first mechanic with the energy balls you have to collect to jump high bugged out. We took out all of the nodes we were supposed to hit, and then everyone just kept getting hit with lightning. So our group parted ways then. Next group we fought the boss took us a few tries but we finally overcame. A few of us dead at the last minute. Pretty challenging, but got the hang of it after a while. Anet, please look into the first mechanic bug out on the final boss.
