  1. The thing is, you can’t get mistforged without first buying the triumphant hero skin. I’m working on my second set of armor and I know I won’t be making these as the triumphant set costs a lot less. So it’s not an either or choice. You still have to put in some time to acquire the next tier up.
  2. I cannot sympathize with you, as I have always unlocked each episode for free, but what I can say is this: there are times when the LW episodes go on sale. Wait on icebrood saga episodes, because at some point in the season, they could rerelease them for free. I do get that as a purchaser, they do not advertise the LW content on payable dlc, but why would they? It’s purely a monetary thing. It could deter someone from buying the expansions if they see 3-4 seasons worth of content that needs to be bought also. Actually, LW seasons don’t need to be bought, but you do miss out on story otherwise, so it’s purely your preference.
  3. If gold was the issue, alot of people would run around in a complete set of legendaries, since especially people who play since release had enough time to accumulate several thousands of gold through playing and Gem Exchange. The problem aren‘t some of the other currencies either meaning T6 mats or Mystic Clovers, the problem is that some of the required materials like Legendary Divination for Coalesence which you get through playing raids or the Emblem Of Victory for Transcendence which you get for winning 120 ranked PvP matches in a season are highly game mode specific. While I for example have easy access to the latter, getting access to 125 Legendary Divination isn‘t just something I could or even would want to invest time in, for some it is maybe the other way around. I have also seen several people complain in the forum about issues with Conflux resulting from the heavy lag they experience while playing the mode. This is why I am simply asking for an Gem Store option with less „legendary“ visual effects, so that people can farm gold while playing their favorite mode and exchange them for gems or straight up invest via Credit Card So I started my trinkets with Vision, did wvw armor, aurora, conflux, transcendence, and did slumbering conflux and ad infinitum. You don’t have to raid to get all trinkets, but Currently you do have to pvp and wvw to get them all. That said, I was fortunate to where I could grind wvw and pvp and complete these. I never played the modes before that, but once I figured them out I did them. Yes, it’s grueling, but legendaries are not supposed to be easy. I will mention to hold out for other game modes, such as fractals, lw, etc as they may release more legendary items to give players more diversity (just my opinion). But as someone who has done the work, it is not only because I wanted them, but as having one of each character profession, maxed masteries, completed story modes, I find myself turning to legendaries as an end of game goal. If you could buy from gem store it would have to be outrageously expensive so people who have put forth the effort do not feel cheated. Just as a suggestion, you can do wvw and get legendaries simply by just taking camps if you want. You don’t have to be part of huge zerg fights where the lag can get crazy at times. Figure out how you want to play the mode and try it. PVP wins don’t have to all be done in one season, you can get it across 2 or 3 seasons if you want, progress doesn’t reset. Like I said, figure out how you want to play the game mode that works for you and just go for it. Tournaments are pretty cool if you can swing it, but I would recommend making some friends to party with so you can get a win here and there. I got my mystic coins for transcendence just by doing the tournies and making gold from them. Again, you don’t have to do tournies to make the legendary, just for the effect. Play the mode how it makes sense for you. Set a goal and go for it. I never thought I would make a legendary, as it seemed so expensive and difficult to do, but once I set a goal, and slowly worked toward it, I eventually made my first, and now I can’t stop! Great satisfaction came from being able make these.
  4. Yeah, I was really hoping underwater would get it's own mount.Feels weird to add underwater to a mount that was not indicated at all previously to be aquatic (and no, looking similar to a manta ray does not mean it is aquatic)And there is very clearly non-aquatic skins for it too. How is my hummingbird supposed to function underwater? They would have had much better design and mechanic options with a new mount instead of just tacking it onto skimmer like a poor afterthought. And if they didn't want to wait for the next expansion to add it, they could have been attached to the core game, using core mastery points, as it isn't used to progress in any story instances. I've been in favour of adding mounts to the core game mastery system myself.. Warclaw being the main one as it could serve as a great end game goal for core players as well as incentive to try WvW.It'll also make a great starter mount as well until people reach PoF, allowing them to somewhat keep up with mounted players running events in core world etc. But yeah adding it onto the Skimmer does feel more like an after-thought.. and yea underwater hummingbirds are going to be really silly xDI never much liked the premium mount skins because of how they sometimes changed an entire species of mount into something else.Hummingbird Skimmer, Pegasus Griffon, Lizard Springger, Deer Jackel.. to name some of the worst offenders of this. At least the Peacok Raptor still is in some way a Raptor.. and the Lion Griffon has some merit too as there are depictions of winged Lion-headed Griffon creatures though usually depicted with talons for forelimbs.. in ways it's like a Hybrid between a Griffon and a Manticore.. minus the scorpion tail naturally :)Thankfully at least both the premium Skyscales are both still Dragons.. one more European style and the other more Joko got wasted one night and made that abomination! style xD At least the demonic Skimmer is still a skimmer I guess, but yeah hummingbird one really does make this feel like an after-thought lolDon’t forget the armadillo roller beetle. LOVE that one!
  5. An Amalgamated draconic lodestone would be a great prize to put in the chest.
  6. Everything but Iron Legion and Phalanx dropped for me in one meta. 3 more metas after that still nothing.
  7. Hmm. We don't have that many releases left, though, until the finale of the Icebrood Saga - so I wonder when we will be able to acquire all the above information. Unless they intend to keep Bangar in that cage till the next expansion comes out.Yeah but some steps could come out together. Look for next week when the Festival comes. Perhaps they will have something come out then?
  8. Anyone think it would be cool if they released a new guild hall in Far north? I mean PoF only had one hall. It would make it more expansion feature worthy if IBS had its own guild hall. What does everyone think?
  9. This is possible. Caithe has a similar connection with Aurene and is her voice, but she also has her free will still too. It wasn’t as ugly as it played out with Jormag, but that was part punishment I think since Bangar had other intentions.
  10. Just posted a thread in Lore but think this may be what is happening: You can see the steps through GW2 Companion App which uses API to gather the achievement information. Read below for spoilers!
  11. Well, it isn’t part of Rising Jormag mastery, so you won’t have people complaining they can’t max it out because of this. It is 2 ap so not that huge imo. You will eventually get it done when they release the steps. Perhaps they could have put it in a current events spot instead to not confuse people as much?
  12. I checked today and still no new steps with speaking to Bangar. I did notice something particular intriguing about this achievement, though. You can see the steps through GW2 Companion App which uses API to gather the achievement information. Read below for spoilers!

  14. And that's why I don't feel like playing anymore. I just counted. I've not started the latest LS yet (I tried, quit after 5 minutes of mute movements), but as of now, I'll need 20 more mastery points. And I don't see any I can get without having to do things over and over and over and over and over and over again. Especially if those things take an hour or more to do. So, I don't even have those waystations, because I don't have the mastery points to get them. I presume that mount skill also needs mastery points and will be added to the end of the list because I don't see it in my list of masteries I don't have. Theres far more mastery points than needed in core, hot or pof. So far only icebrood saga has been stingy with them. So you can pick and choose what fits you best to pursue.Ive each and every mastery line completedSpare core Tyrian x23Spare HoT x20Spare PoF x18Spare IBS x2 Only really Icebrood saga has taken a lot more effort. But still quite doable, and allowed me to skip the worst of them. After IBS episode 4 there are more mastery points left over. Currently I am working toward my last mastery, and I will have 3 left over afterwards. I don’t even have all the mastery points you can get from achievements let, so I think after ep 3, they decided to give more seeing as people spoke up and said they wanted more. It all comes down to you need to choose the mastery line you want and play that expansion/lw to get the mastery points you want. I know it’s a lot to choose from if you just started, but that’s the kind of thing that should make the game fun and interesting. You can play in one expac for a while, then switch to another to level another mastery, or you can do it progressively like I have done with each release. Don’t overwhelm yourself, just pick something and play.
  15. With ep 3 and 4 of ibs, you get the waystations, which you can buy portable ones and take anywhere. You can get medizookas, emp pulse skills, and land mines, which are a nice thing to be able to use in any map. Ep 4 brings a new mount skill that makes you invis, for whatever that’s worth to you. They even have brought back mushrooms, which I use a lot still, and the ley energy gliders which I use also rather than mounts sometimes. The new essence skills are use widely across ibs maps and strikes, so I get a lot of use of them, as clunky as they may be. It really helps big time having those masteries leveled up, imo.
  16. I agree, after the first meta I hate all the running around to get chests, and then the second meta starts later. Then it’s rushing from one piece of land to the next. The interesting part for me was when we got into the frost citadel, and the claw was pretty cool at the end, but then it was just another rush to the chests afterwards. The landscape is not easy to traverse at all. It’s like you’re rushing around doing map completion over and over.
  17. If you look at it by episode everyone whines, it’s too short, blah blah blah. Honestly the maps as a while have a good chunk of story when you put 2 episodes together. Want to know what story was very fast? PoF. But looking at the episodes that are out there is plenty to do. I still got a lot from the prologue I haven’t done, still working on runic armor pieces (2 left), and the new stormcaller weapons are going to take me a while to finish up. The amount of weapon sets and armor pieces they have come out for people to craft is very decent compared to last LW episodes and even compared to PoF expansion. Again, not finished, but I’m sure there will be more armors, etc. and a legendary at the end. If you wait til the end of IBS and buy it all up at once, it’s going to be a fairly good amount of content overall.
  18. I got excited for a min in the story where it sounded like you were going to divert your story to go with Smodur or to go with Braham, and it didn’t exactly happen that way. Would have been cool for replayability of the story if there were different paths like they made it sound.
  19. So, first of all, the notes were on the weapons to begin with to forshadow it can be upgraded in the future. So, now that the T2 is out, there isn’t really a need to have the forshadowing anymore since everyone knows there is a tier 2 and thus craft T1 and not destroy it. My next question is, I haven’t seen the T2 recipe yet, but has anyone seen what it takes to actually make the T2 weapons yet? I suspect the amalgamated draconic lodestone is one part, but I bet the T1 weap is another part. Similar to how Illuminated Boreal Weapons were made.
  20. Imo, it will almost definitely come as content with the new expansion, like guild halls with HoT. This isn’t just a new feature, but an update to the existing template system that, mind you, was announced in the works in the forums. They would not announce expansion features ahead of an expansion. I think anet realized how horrible the template system made using legendaries and swapping between characters. It’s just not user friendly at all. It negates the usefulness that the templates provide. Adding this feature can only improve the template system and make people more willing to invest in buying more template slots. I think people are just looking into it too much and assuming a hidden agenda or it’s an expansion feature. Just my two cents.
  21. It looks to me like we are heading to Jormag in the next episode, or at least Bangar is, which would indicate he is in the north part of the drizzlewood coast. There aren’t too many places left to go up north, but I do agree maybe one more map from the north, but after that they will probably have to switch directions and go elsewhere.
  22. My current thoughts with the upcoming new fractal, and end of icebrood saga would be as follows:Make exotic/ascended infusions for fractals. They could be tiered up since currently +9/+5 infusions are rare, exotics could be +11/+6, and ascended could be +13/+7. Then, legendary version could be same as ascended stat wise but selectable. Also throw in the wvw bonus effect. Legendary version could be released with the new fractal coming up. Icebrood saga could have its own legendary armor set that is a slight visual upgrade to the current runic set.
  23. I agree the first iteration should have been the shiny one and a newer one should be there. Upgraded emotes are some pretty low requested rewards if they are even request AS a reward. I am up for an upgraded emote. At least it is something different than the barage of weapons collections this season has been famous for. I am still waiting for some unique ascended weapons or something you can unlock through achievement collections. Like the Steel and Fire ones, but make them ascended and unique, kinda like the elite spec collections. Too much of exotic weap collections in my opinion.
  24. It is most certainly my decision to salvage the weapons, but this is what happens with any weapon I create. There are so many exotic weapons and with ibs these are most abundant. I like so many do it just for the achievement. Not my fault if I don’t read it because why would I besides the fact they are doing tiered systems now. Such a dumb method of creating yet another exotic which I will salvage again. If they would bring an ascended T2 instead maybe I would be more inclined to read. Such an expensive set of exotics to make.
